Fatid shrugged. "None on duty, if that makes sense. Just... try not to get caught alone with any dogs. Some of Al's gang are always at Galante's parties." He then walked back outside with Cally. "Everyone else should be fine at first. Just don't run off with first anything that tries to woo you or whatever. I'm sure you don't want a partner that bad."

Cally nodded, “right no dogs.” She repeated. She then shook her head, “of course not...unless I’m drunk, in which case I probably will. Speaking of, will there be alcohol?” She asked hopefully.

Fatid chuckled. "Of course there will be. Galante needs to be able to keep the guests happy, and what better way than with alcohol?" He then started to lead the way to the exhibit.

Cally smiled in amusement at this. She then looked ahead saying, “you know sometimes I wish I wasn’t a lightweight, but then again I guess not drinking as much is better for me.”

Fatid hummed. "Well, have fun tonight at least. Just still be alert. Sort of." Eventually they came across the location in mind. A large park that was being used for the exhibits, various pens and cages containing all types of monsters, people paying before going into the area.

“So, do are these monsters as intelligent as you and I?” Cally asked after paying for herself, “like, can they talk?”

Fatid nodded. "Of course. Well, most of them. Some of them don't have mouths, or simply don't talk, but they're not stupid." Fatid paid for himself.

“Huh.” Cally said, “so were they captured or are they here on choice.” She asked as they began to walk in.

"Captured," Fatid said. "They're intelligent, but they still live like, well, wild animals. No homes, clothes, etc. They're caught mostly because they cause trouble, but also because the stories around some."

“Poor things. Do they have humans here as well?” Lily asked, though she assumed it was just monsters. Still though, that would be a weird circumstance to be watching her kind like they were animals. “And are they just like other zoos where they’re bred and switched to other places?”

Fatid shook his head. "No humans." He then shook his head again. "And no, most of the monsters here are the only ones of their kind. And since hybrids are unpredictable, the exhibits are usually kept by themsel-" He paused, seeing one of the exhibits. Huge, at least 10 feet tall hunk of metal gripping specially made bars. "The hell? How did they get that?" He walked up to the exhibit. The creature was bulky, with a huge optic on its head, three fingers on each hand and small legs. On the little plaque on the bars read "Tankerion", and Fatid narrowed his sockets. "Whoever got this guy here basically stole him." (Tankerion)

Cally had to look all the way up to fully take the creature in, “why? Where do they usually live?” She laughed a little, “aren’t all these guys practically stolen?” She asked jokingly.

Fatid shook his head. "No, someone built him. Owns him. I just don't get how he was subdued. He's the definition of a tank. Literally in his name." He studied the large automaton, who couldn't speak. "Ingenica built him, Mother of Artifacts. You have to take these guys down with brute force. They're not affected by elements, spells, anything. And since Ingenica is still alive, whoever put Tankerion here had no right to, unless they somehow got Ingenica to hand him over, which I doubt."

Cally gazed up at the monster still, “so is he a new addition? If he is and he’s stolen he probably won’t stay here for long. I’m sure he’ll be taken back.” She said, trying to pass it off as no big deal.

Tankerion just studied Cally, a finger reaching through the bar. If he'd had facial expressions, perhaps he'd look curious. Fatid watched him, saying "Beastiarium exhibits don't end up here by accident. I just hope nothing's happened to his mother. I mean, I haven't seen either him or her in forever, so I'm not sure. For all I know she could've set her "kids" free and he simply got captured. I mean, I know I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to have something like this, but I definitely wouldn't steal it." Looking around, he huffed "Let's find who's running this gig. I'm assuming they know how everything ended up in custody of the Beastiarium."

Cally smiled at little at the machine. She reached out and gently put a hand on the finger, being curiously herself. She then turned, “Fatid we shouldn’t get into trouble. We can easily be going in over our heads.” She then looked to the machine again, looking sorry for him.

Fatid grumbled. "I suppose you're right, but it just seems fishy. Mostly because where there's one, there's the others. And since there aren't any other Artifacts here, he's most likely stolen." He then looked around. "... I don't really feel like butting heads with a place like the Beastiarium right now though honestly..." Maybe they'd see the huge machine again one day, hopefully free.

Cally sighed, “we should keep an eye on the news or any rumors going around. Maybe we’ll hear something.” She said. She did look sad though as she looked at the machine’s finger, “poor thing.” She had way to much sympathy.

Fatid nodded, watching as Tankerion curled his finger a few times before drawing it back beyond the bars. Fatid huffed, saying "Come, let's move on. There's still plenty to see. And don't feel bad for all of them. I don't need you getting arrested trying to save them all or something."

Cally giggled as she moved on with him, “better keep an eye on me or I just might.” She joked.

Fatid chuckled before walking to look at other exhibits. He snorted when seeing another one. "This one here apparently likes escaping. Apparently he's tried to get back to his jungle but he's always caught." The plaque read "Treetopog", the huge monster grumbling some rather rude words before pacing around his pen. (Treetopog)

“Aw, he just wants to be in his home. I mean, would you like to be in here?” She asked. “I wonder how much I could sell you for to the boss here. You’d be a good exhibit.” She teased.

Fatid scoffed at Cally. "That's like me asking how much I could make off of you at the auctions." He knew she was joking though, and so was he. As they looked at the other creatures, they were approached by a big, bulky canine. Huge arms, rounded features and beady eyes with smaller legs, kinda heavyset, black fur with a white stripe down his face. "Fatid," he grunted a greeting. "I thought you didn't buy humans."

Cally shrugged, “I wouldn’t be much. Even though I’m a hunter I’m still tiny and not the strongest.” She said. She then grunted once the monster spoke about her being his. “He doesn’t own me. I’m his friend.” She snapped.

The dog snorted. "Fatid doesn't have friends. Especially not humans." Fatid huffed, saying "Get lost, Carlo." The buff canine narrowed his beady eyes, saying "You find humans annoying, so how much do you want for her? I can buy her off you right now, and Al can give you a cut of what she'll make at the auction."

Cally immediately moved a little behind Fatid, looking out at the dog as she said, “I’m not for sale! You want me then your have to fight me to do it!” She hissed.

Carlo laughed loudly. "Ha! I could knock your head clean off your shoulders, bitch." He looked as Fatid glared at him. The dog was about a foot shorter, but he didn't look intimidated at all as he said "There are plenty who'd pay a pretty coin for a pretty human. You should reconsid-" Fatid snarled "She's not mine to sell, Carlo. Enough."

Cally growled, “to get to me you’ll have to go through him, you filthy dog.” Cally growled. She knew she should say anything at all, but she was pissed. “Besides, I’m weak and fragile why would anyone want me?” She pointed out, trying to deter the monster.

(Carlo) The bulky dog scoffed at Cally. "Monsters like rare things. Humans aren't exactly abundant. Haven't been for thousands of years, yet you're all still managing to multiply. Even a human like you can earn Al quite a lot. Maybe he'll even rent you rather than sell you, if Fatid isn't stingy." Fatid snapped "She's not for sale! Come on, Cally. Let's go."

Rent? Cally didn’t want to know what being rented to others would mean. Probably a lot of physical labor though. When Fatid mentioned leaving she nodded in agreement. She growled at Carlo, getting closer to him, but not within reach. She then began to follow after Fatid.
