Eventually with the shortness of breath and constant attack, Ra collapsed after a giving a good fight. Fatid and Remiel both dealt with Thundhare while Faugnar seemed to be doing well with Frostwrath.

Thundhare raised his paw-like hands, and the crowd looked up as clouds appeared out of absolutely nowhere, and huge lightning bolts started raining down. Dunn Ra protected herself with her wings while Frostwrath burrowed under one. Fatid's team was left to just try avoiding the barrage.

Remiel took opportunity to retrieve his sword, which switched into a javelin in moments. After barely avoiding a huge bolt, he hefted the weapon and threw it high. It speared the rabbit clean through his side, and he shrieked as he fell out of the sky.

Cally cheered and Criss nudged her while giving her a knowing look. Calmly snorted a little as she hid a blush.

The opposing group decided to tap out, giving Fatid's group the win. The trio looked a little relieved.

As the teams left the field, the tournament went on. Recurring teams moved up the ranks, up until there were two teams left. Fatid's team once again grew wary, studying their last opponents. Huge, 25 foot tall Tephra, the giant slouching onto the field as his body bubbled and rippled. Tempest, the large cloud drifting out into view. And then there was Frostbite, the air getting noticeably colder in his presence. Sure, everyone was forced to tone it down a whole lot, but these creatures were older than Remiel. (Tempest) (Frostbite) (Tephra)

Criss observed the line up with interest. For once she wasn’t so sure what would happen during this fight.

The battle started, and Tephra opened his jaws to send flames toward the group. As soon as they split up, they were met with lightning from above by Tempest. Faugnar drifted along the ground to go and try to grab Frostbite, while Fatid went for Tempest.

Fatid wasn't having the best luck, mainly because Tempest could fly. The angry cloud monster brought lightning down on Fatid just as Tephra sent Remiel sailing off with a huge fist, the angel crashing into Faugnar.

“They’re getting their a*ses whooped.” Cally said to Criss, who shrugged, “it could go either way. You never know what can happen.”

Remiel got up and flew upward, getting above Tephra, though that was a mistake too. The little volcano on his back erupted, forcing Remiel to move back again, only to have Frostbite freeze his wing with an icy blast so he fell out of the sky. Fatid held his arms out toward the ground, the tentacles burrowing in and reappearing under Tempest, grabbing him when he got close to the ground and pinning him.

Both Criss and Cally watched on, Cally looking anxious, but Criss didn’t seem to be too worried.

Tempest simply fell apart and slipped out of Fatid's hold, sending more lightning his way. Fatid slid backward as he tried to keep his feet planted. Faugnar then proceeded to spread out, the mass of smoke increasing until it took up the entire field, hiding the competitors from view of both each other and the crowd.

The crowd hushed, as now there was nothing to cheer for. Cally looked a little concerned, hoping they would be alright.

There was suddenly a bright flash, causing the smoke to dispel. The flash came from lightning, a huge wave that sent Tempest's opponents flying into the walls. In their stunned state, they were easily picked off, Frostbite freezing them in place and Tephra landing a few hits with his large fists.

Stormy looked a little hopeful. "At least they'll take second?" It was a bit of a different placing, but the winners would take first, the losers second as both teams had most wins prior, and the winner of the next highest pairing would take third.

Cally nodded, “that’s good too. You can’t expect to win every time.” She said. “Especially when they’re up against a team like this. It was over before it even started.” Criss said bluntly.

Fatid's team eventually had to tap out, and the other team were declared winners. It would've been more of a fair fight if it was a real one, then again the elementals would've been going full-force too. As the teams claimed first and second, the third place team came out as well.

Fatid grunted as Remiel hugged Cally back, the nature monster saying "We're glad you came to watch. Even though we technically lost." Remiel chuckled, saying "Second place isn't bad either."
