Ravard and Yakili/Ira Relationship - Rider/dragon relationship, except in a far closer way. Though their personalities regularly clash, only they two can support each other. Without the other, they're basically better off dead in their depressed state. Yakili, despite constantly arguing and protesting against Ravard, loves the former slaveman with the love of a parental guardian, something that neither of them got to experience beforehand. Ravard is the only human being that Yakili will probably ever fully trust in her lifetime, whereas Ravard will probably never trust another of his kind again. Their tight-knit relationship has its obvious upsides and downsides, but ultimately they're much happier together than they are apart and make the best team when they actually set their minds to it.
