Welcome. This is A Rocky Destiny: Volume 2, a sequel to the comic A Rocky Foundation. You can read Volume 1 right here! This comic is done in my free-time and drawn in black and white sketches, on a paneled page. This is both a spoof, a drama and an epic adventure. Please enjoy.
Intro:We last left the Clans as they have arrived at the Tribe of Rushing H2O and will exchange their help for a safe place to sleep and eat. Meanwhile, Rocky and Hawkfrost seem to be up to something.... And so...

Yeah, he squeezed it hard enough to bruise. Most of the pain in her neck comes from the fact he caught her by the neck, mid jump. Think of dogs who harm themselves by getting jerked by their leash. So no, Nadia's not injured badly, but she did get hurt.

Nah. She's off limits unless he can get her to agree to it.
Sometimes he can get a deal by just straight up asking a desperate cat for their soul in exchange for whatever they want. Or he can whittle them down through harassment until they agree. Or he can gain their trust by making smaller deals first and then trick them into a soul deal. Shadow is hungry and angry though, which made him handle the situation very very poorly.

I'm so glad you're still drawing this- seriously staying motivated to draw a comic for this long has to be really hard, it's really impressive honestly I remember my sister showing this comic to me for the first time and instantly falling in love with it XP that was what? Three-ish years ago? Ahhh I don't know Also suddenly something occurred to me whilst rereading some pages? A) is that Smokepaw seems very close to Rocky, possibly closer to him than any other cat bc he's the only one who doesn't judge him for being a zombie, also Rocky is extremely comfortable with Smokepaw? Like their silly little acting together wasn't something Rocky just played off as one of his quirks or anything he actually laughed with Smokepaw about being funny and ridiculous? Is Smokepaw the only cat he doesn't try hard to act crazy for? and  Is it painful for Smokepaw to inhabit a body that is literally dead and decaying? In a forever state of rotting sounds really unpleasent... Sorry I realize this kinda got long... |

8D THANK YOU SO MUCH. this is an A+ comment. I love hearing people's thoughts about the comic! A ) I'm gonna leave this up for speculation, but I do believe you may be onto something.  B ) Smokepaw's nerve endings are... not sending signals anymore. He literally cannot feel physical pain, which is NOT all its cracked up to be. He wouldn't be able to tell if someone set him on fire until he SAW the fire. Clawing/biting/goring are all experiences that don't hurt so much as they are extremely disturbing to experience. He is still spiritually bound to his body, so he can spiritually sense if he's lost part of his body, which is nice because he wants to stay put together as long as possible. The worse bit though is the rotting itself. In a sense, he can feel his body breaking down. As he loses small bits of himself that can't just be sewn back on, he loses his bond to them. He can feel the amount of body he has left to inhabit shrinking. The experience is infinitely more mentally damaging than it is physically painful. |

Also, news on update: Life's been a bit crazy. i thought i was moving again, but nope there was a change of plans made AFTER I had already packed back up. there's been a lot of packing and unpacking and deep apartment cleaning. Plus this last week i got the art-blues and avoided pencil and paper like the plague. I think I've broken myself out of the art funk though, so I'll be working on the update this week |

Oo im glad I wasn't just spouting nonsense :3 honestly, I am super down for Smokepaw/Rocky Brotp relationship. And wow, it would be kinda scary if Smokepaw were to loose track of something small, like his toe or something D: he'd never feel complete again! There was one other thing I noticed while rereading a lot of pages but... if I'm right about it, I don't wanna say it where anyone can see it? because it could be something pretty spoilery for anyone who hasn't picked up on it already. |
