   Macaria Slayte
The innocent flower and the serpent under it
Exactly what she was going for.
She wore silver heels, which clicked as she walked across the stage, swinging her hips, to take her seat with the interviewer. As she crossed over to the seat, she blew kisses to the crowd. As she took her seat, she tossed her hair and crossed her legs, fixing her striking eyes confidently on her interviewer.
"Ah, Macaria," the interviewer greeted "welcome to the Capitol. How are you finding it here?"
"Oh, just wonderful," she responded with a smile "the hospitality of the Capitol knows no bounds, and I fall more in love with the culture, the fashion - and the people, of course - every day. I'm just sad I have to leave here tomorrow,"
"Now, one question we're dying to ask is; are you leaving anyone special back home? A boyfriend, maybe?"
"Now, now," she said with a giggle "you know I don't kiss and tell. I'm single, if that's what Panem wants to know"
"And what about family?"
"No, sadly not. But I've always done just fine on my own, I'm a big tough girl after all."
She added a wink to the end of that sentence and had to stop herself from breaking into a wide grin. The Capitol was absolutely eating it up, which was perfect. She was hopefully going to be piling up the sponsors, and at the same time lulling the other tributes into a false sense of security. Most of them, anyway. She was sure at least a couple of them would see through her little act and be suspicious of her. But it didn't matter - she'd still kill them anyway.
"And do you have a strategy for the Arena?"
"I mean, not really," she responded, biting her lip "for me, I just plan on figuring everything out as it comes, y'know? I just plan on having fun, enjoying my time, and doing my best. Because isn't that what the Games is all about, after all? What kind of tributes would we be if we didn't put our heart and soul into these Games? No matter what happens, I plan on making my district, the Capitol, and all of Panem proud."
That earned her a cheer, in response to which she let out a small giggle, raising her hand to her mouth as if in surprise that something she'd said had actually gained the Capitol's favour. As if she had no idea what she was talking about. As if she was a dumb airhead.
As if she didn't actually have a strategy.
"Do you have any special skills to help you win the Games?"
"Ah, a girl never reveals her secrets," she said with a chuckle "but let's say I can handle myself with most weapons in the Arena. Mostly, though, I'd say my people skills are my biggest asset for these Games. I can get along with most people fairly well."
"Who would you say is your biggest threat this year?"
"Oh, I don't know," she said, blinking, "but, I mean, a lot of the boys this year are very...strong. I might not like to be in a fight with some of them."
As she mentioned the boys being strong, she flicked her gaze over in the direction where the rest of that year's tributes were waiting to be interviewed. She knew exactly what she was doing. If she could draw in just one or two of those boys...she could really use that. Even better if they were Careers like her; that would be ideal.
"And finally, are you ready for the Games?"
Another giggle.
"Oh, always. I couldn't be more ready if I tried."

(She’s so manipulative and I love it. I could totally see Alessandro following her like a dog until she kills him at one point or something. Or completely hating her guts because she has a higher score than him or something.)

[Hehe thank you I have some vague plans for her but genuinely I don't really know how I plan to have her manipulation work. Only that I think she plans on destroying the Career pack from within (after it's served its purpose and removed the biggest threats, of course) by playing the others - mainly the boys - off one another] |

(Yeah, though now we have a manipulative District 4 girl there as well I may have to think up a different strategy XD But either way she’s gonna be fun
But anyway yess feel free to have Alessandro crush on her. I’m tempted to actually have her genuinely start to fall in love with one of the guys she’s manipulating. Maybe that can happen right before she dies not sure)

 - - - - - Alessandro RuneAlessandro stood, he was waiting for the name of the girl to be announced as the women went through her introduction. He hoped his name wouldn’t be called, he dearly did. But he watched for now, as the women called for Sapphire, and he grinned as she moved over to the boys.
His own father was a past victor, his mother a brave girl who attempted to volunteer, but was beaten to it by another girl. He trained almost all his life for the chance at the games, and now he was 18, and much stronger.
He watched the women move to the boys, pluck out a name, and read it aloud. His nerves frayed as he listened, “Oliver Ruelle!” The women called, and he grinned, hand shooting up and voice loud.
”I volunteer as tribute!” He yelled out, grinning as other boys had their hands rising, but weren’t fast enough. He strutted to the stage, arms crossed in pride. Of course if his name was called, someone else would volunteer and he would lose his chance.
On stage he stood, blowing kisses to the crowd and giving his district partner a grin, winking at her. She was pretty, but she would die like the rest. He had a legacy to uphold. |

(Eh I might change his color? It’s hard to read, but if I go darker it’s harder and lighter hurts the eyes?
I’m about to just go pink, but then it wouldn’t fit his little silouhette?)

(What if he really likes her, but like, gets something from a sponsor(his parents) that pressure him to kill her.
...omg what if she had to kill him? Like, he dies earlier and is turned into a mutation or something?
Ohhhh....
On that mutation thought, what if Holly died trying to protect Burton from them, and got turned into one? That would be heartbreaking.

I also love the mutations ideas, I mean I’m down for any of those ideas if Dream is okay with the mutations (which I imagine she would be) and that’s what you want to do. They sound good so it’s completely up to you which you’d want to do.)
