About GorgeClan ;; GorgeClan cats are a mix of their RiverClan and WindClan ancestors. Most cats here are brown, gray, or ginger. However multi colored, white, or black pelts aren’t entirely uncommon either! These cats are skilled fish hunters, of course, but rabbit and mice definitely aren’t out of their daily diet. These cats are proud, and resilient, having endured much in their past. GorgeClan cats are generally more accepting of rogues or loners, but don’t think for a second about doing something to get on their bad side. They have a deep connection with StarClan, and on warm nights, these cats will often sleep out of their nests and under the open sky with their ancestors.
Rules ;;
Try to be as active as possible, we’d like for you to post twice a week. If you hold a position of power in the clan i.e. deputy, medicine cat, or key plot member, your activity rate needs to be doubled. Meaning you need to post here at least three or four days out of the week. If we haven’t heard from you in up to two weeks, you will be deleted from the page, but will have an opportunity to resubmit your form. Two strikes and you’re out, meaning we will not allow you to rejoin after two weeks of inactivity if you’ve already been kicked once.
This is a semi literate role play. No one or two liners here. Do your best to match your role play partners post length. Not asking for paragraphs here, just do your best!
Standard role play rules: no god modding, no Mary Sues, be polite, follow forum rules, etc. I’m sure you know the rules here if you’re interested in this clan, so please follow them. If you don’t know the forum rules or if you are caught breaking them we will give you a warning and provide you with a link to the forum rules.

Awesome! And just so you know all the cats of GorgeClan are a mix of WindClan and Riverclan! Scorchstar made the journey when he was an apprentice and he is 46 moons old. ^^

Some other rules clans may use; realistic pelt colors, no purples, greens, etc.
Keep the gender ratio somewhat even
No advertisement without permission
No major plot changes without permission
No ooc talk, or keep to a minimum.
I know you didn't ask me but I thought I'd pitch in! Also idk if you know this, but some people add a hidden word in their rules to make sure others read them. Like in my clan it's foggy right now, so I just added it to the end of a rule 'please put foggy in your other when you join!'
Some clans allow Sexuality some do not, it's up to you if you do! Like they allow homosexual cats and whatnot <:
I hope I helped a bit ^^; I can help in other ways too, there's a lot people here who are really good with layouts also.

Thank you so much! My girlfriend and I have debated a bunch about the whole sexuality thing and I think we’re leaning towards not doing that, just solely to be as canon as possible! We’re kinda perfectionists in that regard I guess you could say lol |

traditions ;
Since there is only one clan in the gorge, rather than having a gathering, the cats of GorgeClan unite under the full moon and remember the cats who came before them. This is not a somber event, instead it is treated with great expectancy, apprentices goof off, elders tell stories, and warriors often square off in friendly battles.
The leader of the clan, if they so decide, are allowed to retire with one life left and move to the elders den. They loose their leader name, though they reclaim it in StarClan, and will visit the Mooncave with the deputy who will then receive their nine lives.
These cats follow the warrior code religiously, and do not tolerate when it is broken. Cats are punished by the leader however they see fit if they are found to break the code.
It is expected that the leader of the clan mentors a kit of the deputies, and vice versa.
Once every green leaf, a feast is held in honor of GorgeClan's ancestors, this is different from the monthly gatherings. This is also used to celebrate new life in the clan. Multiple activities are held and supervised by the leader, deputy, medicine cat, and elders.

history ;
GorgeClan was founded by a small group of cats, led by an elderly she-cat by the name of Swanstar. Swanstar was the leader of a clan named RiverClan that was wiped out by two-legs. She led her clan, and another clan by the name of WindClan, who had lost their leader, to the safety of the gorge. However, Swanstar died shortly after the clans reached their new home. Despite growing pains, the clans enjoyed prosperity for many seasons under a new, conjoined name, of GorgeClan, in honor of the place they call home.
Everything was for the most part okay, until the Clan came under attack by a large group of rogues, during Berrystar's leadership. The rogues killed many clan cats, even Berrystar herself as well as the head medicine cat of the clan. The rogues themselves were led by a cruel cat by the name of Gold. With the help of Honeypelt and another clan cat by the name of Wolfheart, the rogues nearly pushed the GorgeClan out of their home entirely. It wasn't until Scorchtuft. the new deputy of the clan, challenged Gold to a fight, one on one, that the rogues were defeated. Scorchtuft killed the tom and chaos broke loose, the rogues scrambled and the clan cats chased after them. Many more cats died in the aftermath, including Honeypelt and Wolfheart, who were swarmed by their former clanmates.
Scorchtuft is now the leader of GorgeClan, now known as Scorchstar, but a recent, harsh leaf-bare crippled the clan once again. Wrenfeather the clan's medicine cat died of starvation, and Bubblepaw her apprentice died shortly after to yellow cough. Brightsky, the Clan's deputy, also died of yellow cough. It has left the GorgeClan shaky. Yet they are ever resilient.

Swanstar's Oak - named in honor of the first leader of GorgeClan, she is buried under this tree and the
clan views it as a safe space, where they train their apprentices.
Camp - the cat's of GorgeClan live in various caves in the wall of the gorge, though in green leaf, they will often sleep near the river under the night sky.
The Tunnel - there is a network of tunnels that lead throughout the clan and into the mountains, however the only entrance/exit into clan territory is here.
Abandoned Two-leg nest - In extremely harsh leaf-bare's the cat's of GorgeClan will take shelter here, there is also an old garden that hosts many useful herbs
The Mooncave - is where the medicine cats and leader share tongues with StarClan. They come here at least once every moon.

plot ;
Main plot : Ashenpool is pregnant with Scorchstar's kits and they will be born very soon. She will give birth to three healthy kits, Burningkit[sky] Whitekit[flame] and Honeykit[bee]. Burningkit will become a medicine cat, Whitekit a warrior, as well as Honeykit. Honeykit feels less loved, and even slighted by her parents and littermates, these feelings are enforced when she trains in the Dark Forest with her namesake - Honeypelt. The latter, turns Honeykit into her puppet from a very young age and is determined to destroy the clan, and she wants to do it not only with Honeykit, but as Honeykit. After speaking with ancient Dark Forest members, Honeypelt realizes there is a way for her to come back to the world of the living, but under very specific circumstances. This will be a drawn out process, taking place throughout the roleplay and it will be up to you, the roleplayer, as to how these three kits will interact along the way! That's right, Burningkit, Whitekit, and Honeykit will be characters that only existing members of the clan will be able to roleplay as. Just tell me if you're interested when the time comes, and I will choose one roleplayer for each kit!
Sub plots : With Brightsky dead and Ashenpool in nursery, Scorchstar must choose a new deputy, however with so many worthy candidates, Scorchstar has decided to hold a contest. The cat he deems most worthy will become the new deputy, but what exactly will the contest hold? Only he knows.
Rogues are scented near the moon pool, in the mountains, and near The Tunnel, this strikes fear in the senior warriors and elders. Worse off, Scorchstar is injured saving an apprentice from falling off the top of the gorge. The injury is gruesome and the medicine cat is unsure whether or not the tom will ever be the same. After this incident he will have three lives remaining. How will the clan withstand this inner turmoil?

All cats in GorgeClan have a story of their own, whether they joined the clan as a rogue, was a former kittypet, or just born into the clan. This is purely for aesthetics, you can skip this if you'd like, though I wouldn't recommend it...
"Scorchtuft! Come quick! I found another one!' The cat in front of you yowls, her gaze intense, lips drawn back in a snarl. You stand your ground, your legs shaky yet stable, for now anyways, you attempt to hiss but it gets caught in your throat. Soon a big, dark ginger tom with a white muzzle and chest shoots into the clearing. His intense blue eyes landing on you immediately. From the very instant you see this tom, you can tell he has an aura of duty about him. You unsheathe your claws, knowing full well you couldn't take on either cat in your current state, let alone both.
The tom studies you, his deep blue gaze seeming to penetrate your thoughts. "Easy. Ashenpool. This cat is not our enemy, nor is he with the rogues." He says after seemingly an eternity. The she-cat beside him, Ashenpool, lays her fur flat, sniffing your pelt. "Ugh, I don't know how you could tell, he smells just like them," her nose wrinkling with disgust. You feel hot, embarrassed really. You tried to keep your pelt at least somewhat groomed, but the trip over the mountains was much more difficult than you had expected.
"Bluepaw, come, help me take this cat back to camp, he needs to see Wrenfeather immediately." Scorchtuft says, his eyes not leaving your pelt. "Camp.... why would I go back there." You whisper hoarsely, fear scent coming from your pelt in waves. These cat's could kill me right now if they wanted, but there's no way I'm going back with them, they might eat me... not that I'd provide much food...
"Easy friend, we aren't here to hurt you, you are among allies." Ashenpool speaks, her voice soothing. "No." You say, determination flickering in your dull eyes, there's no way you can trust these strange cats with strange names.
"Listen... you're hurt, weak, tired, and hungry. Let us help you, we have herbs and plenty of food on the fresh kill pile. StarClan has blessed us with good hunting this leaf-fall." It was Bluepaw's turn to speak, the pleading look in the innocent cat's eyes began to sway your opinion.
You nod your head in agreement to the cats, your head and tail drooping along with your pride. Scorchtuft and Bluepaw stand on either side of you, supporting your paws as you walk. "It's not much further to camp... welcome to GorgeClan." |
