However, this can leave him overwhelmed sometimes if too many things are happening at once, causing him to shut down. |

Nobody knows where he came from, but it is suspected that he probably used to belong to either a loner, rogue, kittypet, or the twolegs, but was left there due to being unwanted for his deafness. |
| Mosspaw has a small body with long, dark brown fur, and white paws. He has a few patches on him, those patches being a pale, almost ghostly light brown and gray respectively. His pelt is also littered with faint light brown spots, that effectively work as a type of camouflage for him. |

Mosspaw is an apprentice labelled as mysterious by others, due to him speaking a language many don't understand: sign language. This language is spoken through a variety of motions that involve every limb on the body. While the cats who speak to him most often, such as his mentor, know this language, many of those who don't know him well do not, and therefore do not understand him.
Mosspaw is a considerate cat, taking every creature, big or small, into account. He often wonders what the lives of other cats and creatures are like, contemplating the struggles of even the smallest ant. He even has morals against killing some creatures, such as mothers or their young, which can cause other cats to see him as foolish and oversensitive.
When you decide to get to know him, Mosspaw is quite an interesting cat, telling made up tales of his own, such as a rabbit in the moon, and others he seemed to have pull out of the clouds of his imagination. He puts perspective into things you wouldn't usually see as sentient, such as plants. He often talks about what it would be like to be nomadic, wandering from place to place whenever you feel like it, sometimes even expressing discomfort with the clan's stationary state.
Overall, he's a strange and mysterious cat. While he does sometimes feel discouraged by the social barrier that comes with his deafness, he does find ways to keep himself from being too upset about it. And when you get to know him, he's a kind, considerate cat who'll talk to you for hours on end about all the things in the world, if you let him.
