Honestly I'm in the mood for a fun fantasy roleplay. I have some plot ideas in mind, but probably won't do anything with them until things get rolling.
There are some rules, but are hopefully not deterrents for anyone interested in this.
- Please make your replies at least a paragraph or two. One-liners can be a disappointing follow up to a multi-paragraph post. Besides that, it gives everyone else more to work with when they reply.
- Feel free to share ideas. Plot points, possible relationships, ideas for character interactions, etc. anything you can think of. It can be through PM or I can set up some sort of planning page where everyone can talk about plot ideas.
- Feel free to make multiple characters, however only make as many as you can manage. I'll probably put a cap at four to five characters a person. This doesn't include minor characters like random towanfolk, shopkeepers, guards, etc.
- Magic is allowed, however don't make an all powerful character who can predict the next move of an enemy and who never looses. Put limits on how much magic can be used and what types of spells a magic user might use.
- Any of the typical fantasy races are allowed(elves, humans, dwarves, orcs, etc.), but if there's one you want to play that isn't a typical fantasy race, you can use it. Just don't make them overpowered or unflawed.
- This is an LGBT+ friendly rp. If you don't like that kind of thing, then this will probably not be the rp for you.
- Relationships are allowed, but everyone involved has to talk about it first and there should be at least a little bit of time to build it up.

The night was still, silent and cool. A woman was perched within the branches of an old spruce, surveying the lands. Pointed ears and a lanky build were paired with a tall height and soft face. It clearly marked her as half human and half elf. Not entirely one or the other. Being such had its downsides but also its benefits. One of these was the ability to see within darkness. Not clearly and with a monochrome of grays, of course, but it was better than being blind.
As the woman contiuned her nightly watch, she turned her attention westward. In the distance, the hazel-eyed ranger watched a small village. She saw lights flicker in the distance and observed the barely visible shapes of the city guard. They were mostly made up of adolescents with dreams of glory, a few paladins trying to prove something and trained men and women who were the most qualified for the job. As she contiuned to scan the town, she closed her eyes for a moment, drawing in a breath of the crisp air. The night was unchanged, still and silent...until it wasn't.
A spine-chilling screech suddenly cut through the quiet. It lasted moments and echoed through the thick woods. The terrible shriek faded within a minute, but it only took mere seconds before the screech came again. In the distance, the woodswoman watched as the tiny forms people scurried about, probably frightened by the noise. Turning her attention away, the ranger gazed in the direction where the call came from. Something was in the woods. Something was in her woods and whatever it was, it clearly wasn't a good thing. Her heart pounded with fear and despite the chilly air, the ranger began to sweat uneasily.
Drawing in a shaky breath, the half-elf lept from the branches and grasped the ones of a neighboring tree. She hustled down the thin trunk and landed with a soft thud as she hit the ground. Sticking just beyond the well-worn trail, the ranger began to stalk forward towards the awful nois ready for whatever she would soon face.
