I was thinking about how Violetshine named her kit after Needletail, and I think this could possibly cause an interesting dynamic later in the story.
Despite how much Violet loves Needle, it's clear not everyone feels the same way. A lot of cats consider her a traitor, and I feel like some of that resentment might show towards Needlepaw. Needlepaw doesn't want to be associated with Needletail, so she works over time to be the most loyal, law abiding cat. She's like a POT Hollyleaf.
Something eventually happens in the books which calls for the warrior code to either be done away with, or changed. Rootpaw is one of the characters in support of this. Needlepaw, being in love with the warrior code, doesn't want to do this and this causes conflict between them. It would be the exact opposite of past arcs were usually the good guys fight in favor of the code were as the antagonist fights against it.
I think this would be an interesting idea. I don't want Needlepaw to be the main villian or be evil or anything like that, but I think it would be interesting if along the way there was that clash although in the end she comes around because she realizes it's for the better.
What do you guys think?

I was kinda thinking the same thing, at least in terms of Needlepaw being the opposite of her namesake in general. And from what we've seen so far, she at least seems to be more sensible than Rootpaw when it comes to bullies.

Needlepaw wanting to be the opposite of Needletail sounds like a pretty good idea.
