Spidereye summoned forth a purr, happy to see his friend. "Sheepfur, it is good to see you too." The long legged black tom had managed to catch what the curly furred white tom had said. "Are you you guys talking about moving camp?", he quickly questioned his yellow eyes widening in surprise. He looked at the two cats and then allowed his vision to sweep over the destroyed camp. It looked nothing like the camp he called home, and the more destruction that he realized had occured the more he came to the conclusion that this would not be a good place to stay.

(( here is the rest of my post lol ))
Just as Spidereye was about to speak again to Sheepfur and Froststar he noticed more cats arriving. Turning his head he could see Willowpatch, Icepaw, and what looked like Fishfur who was being carried by the two. Just as he noticed them he saw Barelypaw with a deep gash on his leg. "We shall speak once I tend to everyone. Untill Mothpaw is found, Sheepfur will you try to find as many cobwebs as possible. Barleypaw, go ahead and lay down Sheepfur will put some cobwebs on you wound untill I come back to give you a full assessment. I must make sure Willowpatch and her unborn kits are okay." His meow was briskly directed towards the three cats before he rushed off in the direction of the queen, warrior, and apprentice. As the black tom bounded over the debris his heart sank as he came to the tealization that Fishfur had probably already joined Starclan. With that realization he turned his attention first to the queen. "Are you okay?" He questioned in a steady voice as he approached and began to look the shecat carefully over. Spidereye gave a quick look to Icepaw to make sure she wasnt in dire need of help then began to gently examine Willowpatches belly where her unborn kits resided.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
Reaching the elder Firesnap shook his head no when he was asked if he had seen Piegonfur. "No, but we can look for her on our way back to the camp. Im sure thats where everyone will be going." He could tell the old tom was in distress, and a moment later it seemed as if Heronwing began to hyperventilate. Stepping closer he pressed himself comfortingly against the elder and began to gently lick his shoulder, trying to help calm him down. "Just breath nice and slow, its going to be okay. We will find her. I promise." ((On their way back to camp they can save Applefoot))

Sheepfur raised his head, eyes wide with surprise at being given such an important task. "Of course, Spidereye," he mewed after a moment's hesitation, more out of shock than anything else. He had already clawed together a decent pile of albeit still soggy moss from the debris he and Froststar had cleared out, but he hadn't found any cobwebs even in their usual places - the water had likely washed them all away. Maybe the trees..? he thought, frowning up at the branches of the tree he had previously climbed above him. He sprang at the trunk, digging his claws into the bark and pulling himself up to the first branch. There had been a hollow in the trunk not far up from where he had been perched, he recalled, still climbing. When he reached the hollow he stuck his paw inside, feeling around for any of the sticky webs. The curly-furred warrior was massively relieved when his pad met something silky, and when he felt his fur becoming matted he extracted his leg. There was what he thought was quite a good amount of cobweb attached to his leg, so he figured it would suffice for now. He hopped back down from the tree, spraying damp bark from beneath his claws as he went, and hobbled on three legs back towards Spidereye.
Barleypaw had already slumped down onto the ground and was lapping at the blood clotting his patched fur. Sheepfur limped over to the wounded apprentice and began to scrape the cobwebs from his fur so he could apply them as Spidereye had instructed. He waited for Barleypaw to finish cleaning the wound before peering at it. "I'm not sure if it's still bleeding, but there's a lot of dried blood," he informed the long-legged black tom. He wasn't quite sure what an infection looked like, but the young apprentice's gash certainly didn't smell healthy - as healthy as an open wound could be, he supposed. He pressed the cobwebs onto Barleypaw's injury and did his best to wrap them around his leg, keeping pressure on the wound with one paw as he'd seen Spidereye do countless times before. It certainly wasn't very neat handiwork, and it likely would be nowhere near as effective as it might've been if Spidereye or Mothpaw had done it, but Sheepfur figured it would do. "Okay, are you cut anywhere else, Barleypaw?" he asked the apprentice, nosing at the young tom's brown-and-white fur. Barleypaw shook his head. "No, that's it. I'm not even sure how I did that," he admitted, wincing as Sheepfur lifted his paw from the now-bandaged wound. Although perhaps not the best situation to feel prideful, Sheepfur couldn't help the feeling of satisfaction that bubbled in his chest. He felt positive, despite the severity of the circumstances.
Willowpatch cracked open her eyes, staring up at Spidereye who now loomed over her like he was a ghost who shouldn't have been there. "Fishfur," she rasped, reaching out with a paw to her friend's cold body; when she could not reach she slumped against the ground, her shoulders going slack and her eyes falling closed for a moment before she managed to summon the energy to open them again. "I'm tired...where's Blackmoss? He said he'd find me," she murmured, beginning to curl in on herself, "the kits should be born soon, he must see them." She glanced at Icepaw through her half-open eyes briefly, then turning her head back to Spidereye. "She needs rest, she's lost so much," she struggled for a moment to get her breath back, "she needs Greywhisker." The queen tucked her paws close to her and pressed her cheek against the ground, numb from exhaustion. "I'll be alright, I just need to sleep," she tried to assure Spidereye, lifting her head for a heartbeat to smile softly at the medicine cat, "although, my stomach hurts quite a bit. Are my babies okay?" She tried to crane her neck to watch as Spidereye inspected her swollen stomach. When her eyes fell on Froststar, she turned her attention on her leader. "Froststar, we can't stay in this camp; what if my kits are born and there's another flood and they die? I can't lose them, Froststar, please," her voice was laden with desperation, almost on the verge of begging with the dark-furred she-cat.
Heronwing nodded, furrowing his brow at Firesnap's denial of seeing Pigeonfur. "She can't have gotten far, she's nearly as old as I am," he huffed once he had his breath back properly, "and I doubt she'd have left me to drown in the river so quickly." He rasped out a purr, the noise rumbling in his chest like uncertain thunder before dying away in another short coughing spurt. "I'm alright, kiddo, just need to get back to my nest is all. Don't suppose you've caught any prey on your travels, what with that leg of yours," he nosed at the warrior's elevated paw. "We should get you back to Spidereye so he can give you something for that, and so you can rest." He began to walk in what he hoped was the direction of the camp - the scents had all washed away, and he hadn't been out in the forest for quite a while. Then again, he reasoned with a throaty chuckle, everything has always looked relatively the same out in the woods. "Let's see if we pick up any more lost souls along the way," he called out to Firesnap over his shoulder, "we'll be the Clan's heroes if we bring back enough cats safe."

Spidereye continued to examine Willowpatches belly. Gently pressing on it in multiple spots, holding and then releasing. The black tom just let the queen speak, expressing herself to Froststar and asking for her mate. As she spoke to their leader the medicine cat cast a quick look over to Sheepfur and Barelypaw, the experienced tom knew that he would need to get ahold of some herbs as soon as possible. The apprentices wound was probably already infected due to the dirty water that washed over everything. Making a mental note about finding herbs soon Spidereye looked back to Willowpatch. "Willowpatch, your kits are fine from what I can tell. But right now you are at risk of early kitting, which could be very dangerous for both you and your kits." Looking around real quick he could not see a comfortable dry place and sighed. "Just lay here and relax as much as possible. You need to not stress, Froststar will make sure we move to a safe place for you to kit, in the mean time rest and let us worry about finding the rest of our clanmates and a safe place to stay." With that being said he turned away from the queen and walked back over to Sheepfur, Barelypaw, and Froststar. "Barleypaw i will need to find some hervs to add to your wound to help rid it of infection. Just make sure it stays clean in the meantime." The medicine cat then looked to the warrior and clan leader. "This place is not safe for anyone. There is too much debris and no prey or useable herbs. We must move to where the water didnt hit, and we must fo it soon. Willowpatch needs a place to feel safe and relax in or she will be at risk of an early kitting, and anyone with open wounds around here are at a high risk of bad infection that could lead to death. I think we should move the injured and weak to a safe place now and leave two warriors behind to direct those who still havnt returned to the new camp site. Then once we get settled we can send out a patrol to search for stragglers." The black tom wasnt ordering them, he was just simply stating what he thought would be a good game plan.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
"You're right Im sure she didnt go far", Firesnap agreed his mind worrying about possibly finding the old shecat lifeless. Quickly limping to catch up with Heronwing, Firesnap took the lead and gently adjusted their course so they were headed in the correct direction. "We will find her, and if we dont by the time we get back to camp then I will go back out and find her myself. But for now lets get you back to your nest" the young fiery tom was concerned about the old toms health but knew that Heronwing was hardier than he looked. As they slowly made their way back towards the camp Firesnap let out a loud yowl. "Piegonfur!!", he called out wanting to make sure that if they were close to the shecat she could hear them even if she didnt see them. Heronwings little comment about being clan heros make him chuckle a little bit, but the young tom could care less about being a hero, he just wanted to help rescue his clanmates . "Anyone out there?!!!"

[Cat Outside the Clan] Nightclaw - 38 moons - A large black tom with a scarred muzzle, a small white patch of fur on his forehead, and ice blue eyes. - SmugGull
[Warrior] Nettlefire - 40 moons - A sleek, short-haired calico tom with yellow eyes and long claws. - SmugGull
[Apprentice] Stormpaw - 10 moons - A silver tabby she-cat with white-tipped ears and bright green eyes. - SmugGull
[Elder] Ashenwing - 73 moons - An elderly tortoiseshell she-cat with a white face, three white paws, and orange eyes. - SmugGull
Ashenwing is the mother of Stormpaw and Nettlefire from different litters. Their father/her mate, Jayleap, died in the flood. (I'm also putting Nettlefire forward as a possible deputy candidate, but that's up to y'all.)

Barleypaw scooted closer to the exhausted queen, dragging his hindquarters behind him so he didn't have to put weight on his injured leg. He lay back down, resting his muzzle on his paws close to where Willowpatch's head lay, his nose brushing the fur on her forehead. "I'll keep Willowpatch company," he offered, his voice a little throaty, looking up at Spidereye. The brown-and-white tom curled his tail around his haunches and let his attention dart around the camp, taking note of all the holes in the walls as well as the rest of the damage. He hoped that Beepaw was alright - hopefully she was on her way back already, uninjured and well.
Beepaw had been walking for what felt like moons in aimless circles when she finally found something she recognised that she hadn't seen a thousand times over: an old, dead tree with white bark and a large gaping hole in its trunk. She remembered catching her first mouse by that tree! I have to be close to camp now, she told herself, pushing herself to keep going. It took her a little while on her tired, stubby legs, but eventually what remained of the camp walls entered her field of vision and she perked up immediately, bounding forwards with renewed energy. "Barleypaw! Barleypaw!" she yowled, her voice full of both concern and glee. She ducked through one of the gaps in the camp wall, tense and dreading the worst - what if there was nobody here? She was amazed to see what appeared to be half the Clan already gathered in the camp: Froststar, Spidereye, Sheepfur... "Barleypaw!" Her eyes lit up immediately and she scrambled over to where her brother lay beside Willowpatch. She covered his face in licks, pressing her cheek to the top of his head and purring loudly all the while. "What's wrong? Can you get up?" she asked, eyes round as she stared down at him. He glanced at his hind leg, and Beepaw followed his gaze to where the dried blood clotted his fur and the cobwebs wrapped tightly around his leg did little to obscure the sight of an ugly wound. Beepaw gasped, cold terror coursing through her veins. "Are you going to lose your leg?" she exclaimed rather dramatically, her eyes now bugging out of her head.
Sheepfur listened carefully to Spidereye's proposal, his ears pricked and his tail-tip twitching. "That's a good idea," he mewed, glancing imploringly at Froststar; he hoped their leader would agree to the black tom's plan, because he didn't see any way they could realistically remain in the camp even now that the floodwater had died down. He opened his mouth but paused for a moment, as though he was trying to decide what the next words to come out of his mouth would be. "I, uh, I can stay behind, if Froststar wants to go with that plan. It looks like everyone is either injured or exhausted, so I guess I should be the one to stay."
Heronwing offered the young tom a rusty, stuttering purr, his heart warmed by Firesnap's kind offer. "Thank you, kiddo, I appreciate that," he rumbled, "but I think I'll be alright to look for a little while, it's just the same old cough." He pricked his ears as Firesnap's yowl faded away to a slight echo, straining to detect any kind of response. He could've sworn he heard something, but it was so faint that it likely had just been wishful thinking on his part. Regardless, he couldn't take that chance. "Hold up, young'un," he halted suddenly, holding his tail out in front of Firesnap, "I think I heard somethin'." He narrowed his eyes, swinging his large head around as he waited to hear the noise again. 'Anybody!' "There!" He shot up immediately, ducking off into the bushes on his right. It didn't sound like Pigeonfur, but like a much younger cat, and their voice was muffled - perhaps they were stuck underneath or behind something? He stumbled over the protruding roots of a tree and cursed, wringing out his paw, but then let out a loud yelp of alarm as something grabbed at his hind legs. He spun around, teeth bared, and was incredibly surprised to see that it was a white paw sticking out from a tiny gap beneath the roots of the tree he had just tripped over. "Who's in there?" he croaked, trying to peer through the minuscule opening. "It's me, Applefoot! There's a rock in front of the hole I used to climb in here, and I can't move it!" the cat called up through the opening, and Heronwing caught a glimpse of scared eyes flashing in the gloom. Heronwing sniffed at the aforementioned boulder and tried to push at it with his shoulder, but to no avail. "Mousedung, it's wedged real good, kid," he told Applefoot, lowering his muzzle to the ground so the young she-cat could hear him. He glanced over his shoulder in the direction he had just come from. "Firesnap!" he hollered into the undergrowth, "I need some help over here!"

(( The Mindless Opal we need Rainpaw Froststar and Icepaw )) "Thank you Barleypaw", Spidereye meowed to the apprentice when he offered to keep the queen company. Turning he looked to Sheepfur, the tom was still very able, practically unscathed by the disaster. "Thats a good idea and you are still strong enough to help any injured." The white tom was a good choice to leave behind to look for the others. "Froststar why dont you and Icepaw head that way." As he spoke his tail pointed in the direction of higher ground further away from the river. "Search for a sheltered area past where the waters hit a good place to make a makeshift camp, and well away from the waterline so that if it does happen again we wont be in harms way." The black medicine felt the urgency to get the wounded and frail to a safer location before nightfall. Once the sun would set he knew that major predators would be searching the lands to find wounded or trapped animals to prey upon. ◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ Firesnap was surprised when Heronwing heard the faint sounds of something off in the bushes. Ears perked up and alert the large fiery tabby tom hobbled as quickly as possible after the elder. Just as he was pushing through a shrub the warrior heard Heronwing call for his help. "What is it?" He asked in a worried tone as he came upon the rocky area, and suddenly the scent of a clanmate reached his nose. "Applefoot?!" He questioned quickly looking around for his friend.

(Thank you! Is everyone open to Nettlefire becoming deputy?)
Froststar let out a weak purr as she watched the other cats returning, taking time to carefully greet each one. She kept glancing at the destroyed barrier, hoping to see Pigeonfur or Blackmoss nose their way into the camp. In the chaos of the flooding, she had forgotten her own mother. She listened to Willowpatch, noting her concerns and to Spidereye's ideas. "It's the only choice we have now, to move our camp." She sighed softly. "I can also stay and help direct others to the camp once we have been moved." She murmured, glancing towards Icepaw. The small she-cat was sitting by her mother's body, unwilling to leave it. She sighed softly, standing up. "I will go look for a camp on my own, Spidereye... Let her grieve... And wait for Graywhisker to return." She dipped her head. She touched her nose to Sheepfur's ear for a moment. "Take care of them while I'm gone," she murmured before taking off at a steady lope out of the camp.
-----
Rainpaw let out a soft purr as Lynxgaze said his name. "You're awake! Thank Starclan!" He said. "I was worried you were dead when I found you..." He murmured. Pebblecloud came bounding up, a clump of moss in her mouth. The she-cat dropped it beside the warrior. "I brought you some water," she murmured, nudging the moss to her. "Are you alright?" Rainpaw asked, leaning down to look for any injuries.
------
Graywhisker had found the river again. His longish fur was plastered down by mud and water still. He stared at the water, remembering Fishfur and Icepaw swimming and splashing in it when their daughter was a kit. It had betrayed him. He had followed his only kit out of the camp and had barely shoved her onto a log before he was swept downstream. He remembered seeing Fishfur, the black she-cat trying to swim to the log where Icepaw was crouched as it threatened to roll. He had to admire his former mate, she was dedicated to Icepaw. At that moment he had remembered why he had fallen for her once. He glanced upriver, knowing he would eventually find the camp, he just had to keep walking.
------
Icepaw glanced up, looking around the camp. She saw the destruction, the injured but she couldn't bring herself to leave her mother's side.
-------
Pigeonfur let out a low and pained yowl. Her front paw was caught in a small hole in the ground. The elder had tried to reach in and pull a mouse out. She had no idea where the camp was, or where her clanmates were. She had run, as fast as her old legs would carry her, and eventually climbed a tree to avoid the floodwaters. She was tired, sore, and starving.

Spidereye blinked and dipped his head in respect of Froststars decision. "Be careful out there. If I remember correctly, if you head east a little bit there is a sheltered dip in the forest a couple tail lengths away from a large clump of catnip. You cant miss the scent. You could check there first to see if it would make a safe camp." The tall black tom hoped that this bit if information proved useful to his leader to aid her on her mission. They needed a new place to go as soon as possible, the longer they lingered in the area the greater the possibility of them being in danger.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
Lynxgaze's vision finally began to focus as she continued to take in deep breaths. His eyes went from looking at Rainpaw to looking to Pebblecloud. She slowly blinked a thank you and began to lap up the water that was offered. After a few moments she felt strong enough to respond. "I think Im okay, my body feels like I've gotten hit by a monster, but I dont think anythings broken." The young shecats voice was raspy and a couple of times as she spoke the warrior couldnt help but cough. Flashing her dark green eyes back to Rainpaw she began to purr, she was so thankful that the tom had pulled her out of the dark and empty place she was at before she woke.

Nightclaw had spent the past three days in a tree - partially out of a sense of foreboding, but mostly because he'd smelled a fox in the area and hadn't been willing to risk getting ambushed in his sleep. He woke slowly, rolling his shoulders and yawning luxuriously. He missed having cats around - not that he ever interacted with them much, but just being near them had provided a security he hadn't realized he missed until it was no longer there. Hence, trees. This particular tree was on one of the higher spots of the area, perfectly located to keep Nightclaw out of the floodwaters. He stood up, shook out his fur, and tasted the air - he was searching for something to eat, but instead - he smelled cat. ~~ Nettlefire had been carried downstream by the flooding before being washed ashore, where he remained, immobile, until he slipped into unconsciousness. He woke with a wheeze and a cough, spitting out of a mouthful of water. His whole body ached, bone-deep - but he manged to drag himself to his feet, so that, at least, was a good sign. He sucked in a deep breath of air and shook out his fur - it was now sticking out all over the place, but at least it was dry. Camp. He had to get back to camp - he had to make sure Froststar was alright, that the rest of the clan was alive. "Better start walking," he muttered, and did exactly that. ~~ Stormpaw and Ashenwing picked their way through the debris surrounding the camp. Stormpaw winced with every step, blood oozing from one of her hind legs. Ashenwing was pressed against Stormpaw's side, but it wasn't clear who was supporting whom - it seemed to change from moment to moment.

Sheepfur nodded, eyes bright with determination. "I can stay here tonight too, if I have to," he informed Froststar, "in case anyone shows up during the night." He pushed himself to his paws and shook out his curly fur. His eyes traveled slowly to where Fishfur lay with Icepaw curled around her, and grief grasped his heart in its cruel claws. He approached slowly with his head bowed, pausing beside the grieving apprentice. "I'm sorry, Icepaw," he murmured, his ears flattening against his head, "Fishfur was one of the best cats I've ever known." He pushed his muzzle into the cold black fur and closed his eyes, taking a moment to just breathe in the scent of his friend one last time. "She will rest well in StarClan, little one," he briefly pressed his flank against Icepaw's in an attempt to comfort the young she-cat somewhat before he straightened, sorrow swimming in his eyes as he turned back to the rest of his Clanmates. "Do you think anybody else..?" he didn't want to ask the question, glad his words failed him as his heart clenched again. He didn't want to consider the possibility that any more of their Clanmates had died.
Heronwing motioned to the boulder as Firesnap emerged from the undergrowth behind him. "Poor kid's stuck behind here, I can't move it on my own," he explained to the ginger tom, already moving back into a position from where he could put his weight against the rock. He could hear the young she-cat's exhausted whimpers from beneath him, under the ground where he stood, and something inside him snapped. "On three," he barked, eyes hardening with fierce determination, "we push, then you pull her to safety while I hold the rock - we're on an incline so the darned thing's just gonna roll right back into place." The large blue tom squared his stiff shoulders, bracing himself against the boulder with his claws dug firmly into the ground.
Mothpaw had been certain he'd gone and gotten himself permanently lost when he heard a cat's low yowl of pain. As a medicine cat he certainly shouldn't have been relieved to hear somebody in so much agony, but he couldn't help the rush of glee that filled his chest: he wasn't alone out here. He bounded off into the undergrowth in the direction of the wailing, his paws carrying him with newfound energy. "Who's there?" he called out, slowing down as the sound grew louder. He stuck his head through a particularly tall patch of grass only to find Pigeonfur crouched a tail-length away from him, her paw stuck in a hole and her features contorted with pain. "Pigeonfur!" he gasped, immediately scurrying to the elderly she-cat's side, "Hold still, I can get you out," he instructed her. He begun to claw at the ground by the hole, careful to steer clear of where the elder's paw was wedged until he had managed to scoop out enough dirt to help her extract it. It didn't take him long to scrape most of the earth away from the edge of the hole, but he wasn't sure how far her paw was stuck. "If I keep digging, can you try your best to pull it out?" the golden-coloured tom asked her, his eyes dark with concentration.

Frostfur couldn't help but feel energetic. The clan was going to be okay in the end, she just knew it. They would be safer in the new camp, where they could treat the injured and the queens and their kits. She finally slowed down, padding through the forest. Piles of debris and crow-food littered the ground. Most foliage had been washed away, leaving mud and dirt behind. She saw some change as she padded up, where the water hadn't been as high.
The scent of catmint was almost overpowering as she neared the plant. The water had torn at some leaves, but a decent amount of catmint was still waiting. She found the small dip and sniffed around it. Few bushes were left, but there was debris all over the forest that could be dragged to make a new camp. She glanced up at the sky, thank you, Starclan! before she began to run back to camp.
-----------
Rainpaw settled beside her, patiently waiting for her. "We should get back to camp," Pebblecloud murmured. "You can lean on either of us if you need." She offered, her paws nervously shuffling on the ground. She kept glancing towards the river, as if the waters would begin flooding them again.
Rainpaw stood up, fluffing out his pelt. "Whenever you're ready, of course, Lynxgaze."
------------
Icepaw looked up sadly as Sheepfur padded over. She nodded her head a bit, before resting her head on her mother's flank. Her ears flicked uneasily, and she let out a soft and weak purr at his kind words. "I just hope Graywhisker is still out there... I don't want to be alone," she murmured. She raised her head once, blue eyes looking over the camp. "I don't believe we could survive that flood with only one death."
-------------
Pigeonfur's eyes lit up for a moment when she saw Mothpaw. "Thank Starclan you're here youngin'," she said with a small purr. She watched the apprentice carefully dig the dirt out. She nodded, gritting her teeth as she pulled, trying to yank her paw out. "Guess I was just hungry enough to do a flea-brained thing like stick my paw in a mouse hole," she joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Okay", Firesnap meowed with a brisk nod understanding the role he was to play in helping free Applefoot. "One. Two. Three!!!" Despite his twisted paw and the pain he felt when putting weight on it the warrior bit down and pushed through. Using all his power with the help of Heronwing the heavy rock finally began to shift. Growling as the pain in his paw grew the tom pushed it a little further until the opening was big enough to Applefoot to squeeze through. "Hold it here" he instructed. He waited a moment to let Heronwing get ready to hold all the weight of the rock before he let go and quickly reached into the hole. Grabbing the shecat by the scruff and hauled her out and stumbled back and away from the rock.

Lynxgaze took a moment to gather herself before slowly pushing herself to her paws. The young warriors lips curled up and she hissed in pain but did her best to shrug it away. Leaning on Rainpaw , who despite being only a moon older than him, was bigger than the small shecat his muscles easily able to hold her weight. "Okay... I'm ready. Let go", she mewed and started to walk.
