Shadefang watched as Fawnstep leaped up and brought down the hawk. She came out from behind her rock and when she noticed the hawk wasn't going out so easy, pushed past the talons and bit at its side. The hawk's struggling soon died down until it finally laid flat, and Shadefang stepped back, licking away the blood from her lips. "A bit messy, but we did it," she said, then looked at Fawnstep. "Well, mostly you did it. Good job."

Alrighty! Heres what Jay'Paw has learned: how to hunt birds and forest prey, how to fish, how to do basic battle moves. How to climb trees. What she has to learn: Advanced battle moves, climbing mountains. How to do some really advanced battle moves. How to hold her ground.))

Honeykit's fur fluffed up as Silverkit pounced at him, and he ducked to avoid her swinging blows at his ears. He scrambled back to Cherrykit, cowering behind his sister who was much bigger than he was. He had backed into Brambleflower, and he felt his mother shifting in her nest as she woke up.

Littlepoppy had returned to the nursery when the commotion started up again, and he almost jumped in when Cloudsplash did so herself. He sighed with relief when she decided to toss them the moss ball instead, but still decided to lay down nearby, his paws crossed over each other neatly. "You can still play with them, just gently," he told Silverkit.

Fawnstep let out a purr, dropping the now dead bird. "Hey, you spotted it first! But that does mean I can catch more birds than you..." She trailed off a playful glint to her eyes. "Maybe you are scared of the birds..." She teased, recalling how she had first tried to make the she-cat tag along with her.

Cherrykit puffed out the little fur she had, scrambling to her paws and running to Cloudsplash so she could hide. She ducked underneath her mom's front paw, though she was only slightly covered.

Brambleflower yawned, rubbing at her jaw with a forepaw. "Honeykit, Cherrykit, are you alright?" she asked, her voice a tired murmur. Once her eyes had adjusted properly to the light of the nursery, she could get a proper look at what was going on. Silverkit was scampering around with as much energy as ever, while Littlepoppy and Cloudsplash kept an eye on her. "You can play mossball with them, Silverkit," she mewed kindly, "just make sure you don't hit it too hard, okay?" She gently nudged Honeykit out from his hiding spot behind his sister and lowered her head to the pair of them so she could give them a few words of encouragement.

Honeykit nodded his head vigorously in agreement. "Yeah, please stop being loud," he mewed, although his voice was quieter than Newtkit's as he spoke up. He reluctantly came out of his hiding spot when Brambleflower nudged his hindquarters, and trotted over to Cloudsplash to see where Cherrykit had gone.

Redkit finally woke up from all the commotion, lifting his head and staring into the den. He squinted his eyes at the other kits, then sighed and rested his head back on his paws. He couldn't go back to sleep now with all the others being so loud... but he also didn't feel like playing right now. So he curled his tail around him and watched somewhat-intently.

She unburied herself from Cloudsplash and ran up to her own mother, letting out a purr. "Will Redkit join us if we do?" She looked to her brother, hoping he would.

Honeykit frowned as Silverkit ran from the nursery. "I want to play, just not get hurt," he mewed, turning his large golden eyes up to his mother. Brambleflower sighed and tucked her paws into her chest; it was obviously not the first time Silverkit had run off like that from the way Brambleflower's amber eyes were clouded with resigned worry.

Tigerstripe leaped into the air the moment he saw the hawk swoop down, and when he saw that its intended prey was Silverkit he let out as fierce a caterwaul as he could muster, digging his claws into the hawk's wings as he ripped it away from the hole. "Silverkit, what are you doing out here? You should be in camp, you could die out here if you're not careful!" he hissed, although the bite in his voice was in no way directed at the small kit. He swung a heavy paw and slammed it into the hawk's back, pinning it to the ground as he delivered the killing bite. Blood had been pouring from its wings where he'd dug in his claws, and it had not gotten itself airborne in time. Once he was sure the hawk was dead, he spat out a mouthful of feathers and turned to the kit. "Back to camp, now," he ordered. He picked up the hawk and watched Silverkit carefully, waiting for her to start heading back.

Shadefang shook her head, giving Fawnstep a light push with her paw. "You have to spot the birds before you catch them," she meowed jokingly. "I can't find them all for you!" Her ears pricked as she heard a bird's call, coming from down the mountain. But it didn't come again. She narrowed her eyes in the direction she heard, then shrugged. Another hawk finding its own prey. She lifted her nose to scent through the foggy air. "Smell anything else?"

Redkit looked over at Cherrykit, then gave a yawn bigger than he was. "Maaaaaaybe," he replied as he slowly sat up, then scratched behind his ear with a hind leg. "Depends on what we're doin'."

{ I'm not trying to be rude but if Fogstar finds out she will probably have her apprentice ceremony put back if she keeps sneaking out of camp...}
Cherrykit flopped beside her mother and buried her head in her paws. She didn't understand what was going on fully, she knew she wanted to play but she didn't know why it had been so rough..She spared a look to Honeykit. "Maybe if we play moss ball she will play something like that...?"

She tasted the air then narrowed her eyes, making her way to the edge of the mountain and searching down below. Had something happened? Surely no kit was taken right..? She looked back to Shadefang and let out a sigh. "Should we head back to camp to figure it out or continue hunting? I understand either one you choose."

Tigerstripe sighed and decided to follow Silverkit back, wanting to make sure she returned safely. He spotted her racing towards the nursery and sighed deeply, shaking his head as he dropped the hawk onto the freshkill-pile. "Somebody needs to keep an eye on that kit," he grumbled, more to himself than anybody else. He hoped Brambleflower's litter would be much less adventurous, but from what he'd seen of the four he doubted they'd get themselves into much trouble even as they got older. He decided he might as well pay a visit to his sister and the kits, so he followed Silverkit towards the nursery and stuck his head in. "Morning, all," he greeted with a toothy grin, "how is everybody?" He stepped inside, but only sat down in the entrance as to not crowd the queens. "I just caught Silverkit outside of camp," he explained, "a hawk had spotted her but fortunately I got there in time and managed to kill it. How often does she run out of camp like that? I think that's the third time I've seen her do it."

Honeykit's ears perked up at the sound of their uncle's voice, and he bounded over to Tigerstripe. "Uncle Tigerstripe!" he purred, pushing his head against the large tabby tom's foreleg. "We were just about to start playing," he mewed importantly to his uncle, craning his head up so he could meet the warrior's eyes, "do you want to play too?"
