Fawnstep brushed her tail against Shadefang. "Alright, time to catch some birds since you totally backed out last time." She knew the warrior didn't actually back out, but she wanted to remind her how they had planned to hunt together in the beginning.

Snaketooth had already begun to take a bite out of the prey, his mouth full. He looked at her quizzically before trying to speak "Wha is it?" He noticed his speaking was muffled and he quickly swallowed, wiping the prey from his mouth. "Sorry, what's wrong?" He seemed concern that it might be something bad, could it be? He got off his belly so he'd be standing at eye level with her.Had he done something wrong?

Fawnstep looked between Ashpelt and Shadefang, letting out a low sigh as she decided it might as well be her to break the news. "No, you need to be six moons to be an apprentice. You could get hurt, especially where we are going. Even some of the apprentice's aren't allowed up there. A hawk could easily swoop down and snatch you up." She hated using the fear tactic but she felt like it was the only way to get her point across, and it was technically true.

Fawnstep moved her whiskers in amusement. "I'm sure you think that, but hawks are bigger than you think. You could easily fall down and hurt yourself too up there. It's best for you to stay in camp. It's only one moon, it won't hurt you. Just make sure to be on your best behavior and you will be an apprentice in no time." She nodded, proud of what how maturely she was handling the situation.

Shadefang looked back at Fawnstep and purred. "Finally," she mewed as they started toward the entrance of camp. "It feels like forever since we hunted together." They'd been on hunting patrols with her, of course, but not with her. Shadefang wasn't sure why, but hunting with Fawnstep made her feel more comfortable.

{Nissa I'm living for it, I know I married a dude but I'm more girl leaning. So these are making my heart happy. }
Snaketooth's eyes widened and he felt like he was choking. He started coughing uncontrollably now, dry heaving almost. It was loud enough to echo off the walls of the clan's camp and he finally settled down after a few minutes. When he did he looked at her, a weak smile placed on his muzzle. "Kits? With me? You're...not kidding. They could easily have my overbite, Robinsong, would you be okay with that?" He asked, his voice hoarse now from his coughing fit.

With the kit running along, Fawnstep made her way to the entrance of camp. "Let's go Shadefang before Silverkit decides to follow us and I need to drag her back to camp!" She exited into the dim sunlight, letting the warmth run over her pelt. She closed her eyes for a few heartbeats, relishing in it. When she had her fill she opened her eyes back up and continued on her way up the side of the mountain. She wondered if they would actually catch a bird of prey, either way she was happy to be spending time with Shadefang on her own. She hadn't had a moment with her since she had returned.

Littlepoppy watched Silverkit go to the other warriors, and he let out a sigh. That kit was just itching to become an apprentice any day now. The other kits were much too young for her to play with. He finished stretching before padding outside of the nursery, but he paused when he saw Snaketooth and Robinsong in front of it, and the word "kits" floated by. He wanted to say something, but he didn't want to interrupt the two.

Fawnsteps eyes narrowed as she heard the twig and turned around, approaching the rocks. She sniffed around, the fresh scent of the nursery wafting over her. "Shadefang, come here!" She called out, tail tip flicking irritably now.

"I wouldn't put it past her," Shadefang said as walked alongside Fawnstep. Kits in general just seemed to get on her nerves sometimes; how did Littlepoppy put up with them willingly? The she-cat let the sunshine soak into her long fur, glad she had already shedded down a lot of it. She pulled herself up onto each rock with ease, and remembered with amusement how much trouble she had when she first joined the Clan. "What is it?"

Snaketooth let out a small purr at her comment, he had a dream recently about her having his kits so maybe it was some kind of sign? He glanced to the nursery, then back to her. "Are you willing to give up your warrior duties for it? I mean..I can't carry them, though I look like I could." He gestured to his belly with his tail, trying to make a joke out this. "I mean, Robinsong, I'd love for us to have kits I just want you to be extra sure about this."

"Nursery smell, she did follow." She sat and curled her tail over her paws, drawing her paw to her muzzle so she could lick it and clean her face. "Silverkit, you are really troublesome. I don't think it'd be wise to follow us any further. I'm serious." She narrowed her eyes into slits before nodding to Shadefang to sit beside her. "Fogstar wouldn't like the idea of a kit out of the nursery, if you go back to camp now we won't have to tell him." She didn't seem too bothered, it gave her time to assess the mountain top ahead of them. "It's Green-leaf, hawks will surely be up there."

Shadefang watched Silverkit scamper away, then rolled her eyes. Although there was a bit of sympathy as she was probably really bored. "Let's keep going so she can't keep up with us," she said to Fawnstep, then began climbing up the rocks again. They were getting steeper the higher they got, and eventually, they'd have to start leaping up which was even worse for kits.

Fawnstep got up and followed her close behind, leaping from rock to rock. She could see the top almost and her heartbeat quickened with excitement, she couldn't wait to see what they could catch. "I bet we bring a big enough bird for the whole clan!" She guessed, landing neatly at the top now. She took a moment to look across the territory, she still found herself captivated by the land she had found beyond her two-leg den.

Shadefang reached the top as Fawnstep did, and took a deep breath. The air up higher was always better than the air in the forest. "What, like an eagle?" she asked as she moved to Fawnstep's side. Eagles were hard to come across, and she'd only seen someone catch one in her time in FogClan, but it would feed cats for a quarter moon. She gazed out into the territory, watching the fog swirl around the trees below. "It's wonderful up here."

"It is, I never imagined I would one day be standing on top of a mountain like this. This is so much better than the kittypet lifestyle." She admitted, looking to Shadefang with a small twinkle in her eyes. "And yes, perhaps an eagle. Though I'm not sure we will find one." She didn't bother to check behind her just yet, she was still looking below. "Do you see that small den, with the white barrier around it?" She pointed with her tail to a small green two-leg den near the edge of the Flowing Stream. "That's my old two-leg place. Before they left." Her voice got softer, she hoped the two-legs were okay but even if they did somehow return one day she never imagined herself going back to the life she once had. She had too many friends here in the clan.
