(That's okay, I was just at school!! ^^' I'll have Snowclaw sprint the whole way there don't worry, he's not too far away)
Snowclaw ran. He ran like he'd never run before, as though the ache in his leg that had prevented him from running since his accident had never existed in the first place. He was not far from the river, he could make it. He would make it. The yowling grew increasingly louder, and before long he could see the surface of the river through the undergrowth ahead. "Ravenstar, I'll kill you!" he hollered, "You leave them be!" His eyes locked on the black tom where he stood by the riverbank, only briefly noticing the patrol on the other side of the river as he emerged onto the bank. He cannoned straight into Ravenstar's flank, slamming all his weight into the black tom.

Ravenstar felt the air knocked out of him and he hissed loudly, rushing to his paws and glaring at the tom. "Snowclaw! How are dare you?" His fur was prickling and his eyes looked to be full of rage. He launched himself on top of the tom, ready to attack him to his full strength. He dug his claws into his sides, trying to get a firm grip on the warrior so he could possibly toss him aside if he needed to.

(Perhaps Redtuft was silent for a reason and I didn't want to make him a bad dude)
Brambleflower warily eyed the fallen log in front of her. "Kitepaw, are you sure this is safe?" she asked, turning to her son where he stood at her shoulder. He merely blinked up at her, silent, as though nothing needed to be said. She sighed and shook her head, already extending a paw to press it against the rough bark of the log. The water wasn't flowing awfully fast, but it was cold, and Brambleflower didn't particularly fancy taking a swim this close to giving birth. She was halfway across when she felt the log giving way beneath her, and her chest seized with panic. It rolled slightly, and her paws began to slip even as she dug her claws into the bark. She lunged for the opposite bank, her forelegs outstretched and her claws extended, but as she leaped she knew that it would not be enough. That's when she felt teeth sinking into her scruff, and heard the snarling of a cat in pain as she was hauled to dry land, her tail and hindquarters soaking wet. "Kitepaw?" she choked out breathlessly, snapping her head upwards to meet the eyes of her saviour. Redtuft stared blankly down at her, his amber eyes void of any expression. Brambleflower's fur bushed up immediately, and she took a step back away from the russet-furred tom. She parted her jaws to speak when Redtuft beat her to it, his gravelly voice as monotone as ever. "I'm sorry they had to die, I would have saved them if I had known," he meowed, lowering his gaze for a brief moment, "but you don't. Be safe, I'll tell Ravenstar I couldn't find you." With that, he turned tail and vanished into the trees. Brambleflower stared after him for a moment, tears brimming in her eyes as she processed the red tom's words. She felt a small nudge at her shoulder and looked down to see Kitepaw, his fur wet from his swim across the river and his round orange eyes gazing up at her. "We must go and meet the others," she managed to mew after a moment, her voice tight, "I will tell them about Redtuft." Kitepaw nodded, and the pair of them began to walk in the opposite direction to where Redtuft had disappeared into the darkness.

Snowclaw ripped himself from Ravenstar's grasp, wincing in pain as the black tom's claws tore chunks of fur and flesh from his sides. "You poisoned her mind with your lies!" he spat viciously, his mismatched glare burning with pure loathing as he stared into Ravenstar's eyes. Now he could see the others: Ashpelt, Dappleleaf, Gingerstripe, Hollycloud, Snaketooth, Waspwing and all the others. They were watching him, their eyes trained on them as they fought. He lunged again, aiming to tackle the CedarClan leader to the ground.

He fell to the ground as the warrior tackled him and spat at him. "You are the one with a head full of lies! Betraying your clan to run off to that coward of a leader!" He struggled against the tom that tackled him, lunging his head to any part nearest to him.
{Sorry these replies are shortish, I don't want to do something that you're not alright with Also I like Redtuft, very much so. }

(Absolutely batter him, he's going to die so we might as well make it intense hehe don't worry about it ^^ I think Brambleflower is going to name one of her kits after Redtuft because he saved them and lied to Ravenstar to keep them alive (and I think it's a sweet thing to do to name your kits after cats who you appreciate a lot), although Redtuft might get found out and maybe killed for helping Brambleflower and Kitepaw escape)
"You murdered Finchpaw and Sparrowpaw! They died because of you, and your Clan has become nothing but a band of rogues!" Snowclaw hissed. He yowled in pain as Ravenstar's claws dug into his flesh again, and he could feel the blood spurting from the wounds. He pummeled at Ravenstar's stomach with his hind paws, hoping to weaken the CedarClan leader at least a little bit. Ravenstar was much younger and fitter than he was, and he had four strong legs; in this fight, experience would count for nothing.

Waspwing stared, horrified, at the scene unfolding on the other bank. When Snowclaw had burst from the undergrowth she had been relieved to see him alive, but he had taken his charge at Ravenstar and now the pair were locked in vicious combat. "We have to help him! He's going to die!" she cried, turning to Ashpelt with pleading eyes, "Ravenstar will kill him!" She could see Shybird's body on the opposite side of the river, her tabby fur being tugged at by the small waves that lapped at the embankment.
She plunged into the river. The sudden, ice-cold chill of the water shocked her into a harsh gasp, and she lunged for the opposite bank before her body had the time to freeze up. Her claws dug tightly into the earth and she heaved herself onto the other side. But instead of racing to Snowclaw's aid, Waspwing darted towards Shybird and sunk her teeth into her Clanmate's scruff, hauling her back into the water. Her paws flailed as she tried to paddle, but the weight of Shybird's body dragged her down. Huffing and puffing and gasping for air, she struggled her way across the river, paws churning at the water around her as she kicked and pushed.

{ I love that too! Honestly I think it's super sweet c: And omg I just realized we are about to have a lot of kittens in the clan yay!
I will honor your wishes. uh also can I get help on Twistedpaw's warrior name? I'm really struggling here because I'm not original. I've been looking over list and they're not helping}
Ravenstar scoffed at his words and tried to avoid the tom's legs but he couldn't. He lifted up one of his paws and raked it across his face, in an effort to silence him. "Those apprentices were weak, weak cats have no place in my clan." He pushed the warrior down onto the ground and closer to the water with his paw that was still on him. He didn't plan to drown him but he thought just in case, he might want that option available.

Snaketooth's eyes widened at the sight of Waspwing going after the fallen clanmate. He raced to the shore to help her get back across, he stood up to his belly in water now. "Waspwing, if you can come over here I can try and pull you the rest of the way!" He took a timid step forward, now needing to lift his head above the current. He didn't want to see anymore of his clanmates die today, he refused to. He knew Snowclaw would want him to not get involved though, so he tried to help his other friend.

(How about something a little cool and unique, like Twistedroot? I'll have a look for some others that might go well)
"You're a monster," Snowclaw spat, his chest heaving as he fought to push Ravenstar off of him, "and you deserve the worst death imaginable, even the Dark Forest is too good for you. How does it feel being the leader of a Clan that despises you? Your 'loyal' Clanmates whisper in their nests at night about how you deserve to be left for rats and crows to pull apart, piece by piece. Fogstar was always a better leader than you, even now that you think you're so strong that nobody can touch you." He heaved his haunches into the air and struck up with his hind legs, hoping to wind Ravenstar enough to escape his grip. Run! StarClan, he wished Ashpelt would just take them and leave. Run and don't look back, don't let him catch you.

Waspwing lunged in Snaketooth's direction, heaving Shybird's body along with her. She finally found a pawhold in one of the shallower parts of the river and was able to propel herself further towards the silver-furred tom. "Take her!" she hissed through the tabby fur between her teeth, jutting out her chin as she stretched her neck towards him. She found a purchase in the bank large enough to balance on, and used it to turn around, backing up onto dry land just enough so that only her forelegs were submerged in the water, but Shybird was too heavy.

{ I was actually wanting to get rid of the Twisted part and change it a name that resembles courage, so Fogstar can right one wrong in his life, I do like that name though! Also excuse that two, I have severe insomnia and type really fast so they slip by me a lot. }
Ravenstar let out a small oof as soon as his paws made contact but he managed to keep his grip, leaning down towards his face. "Just remember, the last thing you'll see in your pathetic excuse for a life is my face." He grabbed Snowclaw by his neck, but didn't deal a finishing blow just yet. He wanted to make the tom suffer for what he had said. He knew the cats feared him and probably hated him but that was no concern to him, he had taken his rightful place as a leader. He raked his claws lightly over his chest, still making sure to not kill him. He also tried to move himself so he was standing more to the side, refusing to be kicked like that again.

Snaketooth swam a bit out, reaching the for the fallen warrior with his teeth. When he had a good grip he furiously padded against the water to get her to shore, trying his hardest to keep his head above water while doing so. He could feel himself being dragged down by the weight but he refused to let go, he wouldn't let her wind up as a cat floating down the river. He tightened his grip as he felt himself almost touching the beginning of the shoreline. He would be able to just drag her if he could just land his paws on the ground.

(That's such a nice idea, I'll definitely keep my eye out for something that sounds like it would fit ^^ Maybe Eagle or Lion would be a good fit? They both represent some form of courage bravery I suppose Also Snowclaw.....dude's unhinged like I've never written more intense dialogue in my life)
"Shame your mug's so ugly," Snowclaw sneered, gritting his teeth through the pain as he felt Ravenstar's claws dragging along his chest. "You kept me around for so long, even after I got my limp. Why is that, Ravenstar? I'm old and injured and yet you didn't kill me, not like you killed our medicine cat. How does it feel, murdering innocents, Ravenstar? Were you scared? Did you keep me around because you still needed Snowclaw, CedarClan's veteran of a hundred battles, to look after you in the aftermath of what you did?" He lurched upwards again, but missed his blow as Ravenstar had shifted his bulk to one side, at an angle he couldn't quite reach with his legs. Snowclaw held Ravenstar's piercing glare with his own, holding his head high even as he lay powerless beneath the CedarClan leader. "StarClan never gave you nine lives, did they? You're just like me, like Finchpaw and Sparrowpaw, like Snowfinch and like Stormscreech and all the other cats you led to their deaths. They're all gone now, and you will be too, before long." He craned his neck to the side, turning his head in Ashpelt's direction as he locked eyes with the grey warrior. "Ashpelt, you tell Fogstar... You tell him I'm sorry. I would've followed him to the ends of the earth, but I was a coward," he gasped out, feeling his throat tighten as Ravenstar pressed his weight into his chest, "I'll see you again one day, brother." With a surge of strength the old white tom didn't know he had, he rolled to the side and sent himself skidding across the floor, breaking free of Ravenstar's hold. He scrambled to his paws and bared his teeth, hackles raised.
(I'm thinking that maybe he makes his final charge and Ravenstar meets him half-way and absolutely finishes him, as much as it pains me to say it)

With all four paws now back on solid ground, Waspwing skidded to the edge of the bank and reached out, digging her claws into the earth as she stretched one paw out. Whether she was reaching for Snaketooth or for Shybird, she didn't know, but her claws found a grip in Shybird's soaked tabby fur as Snaketooth came within reaching distance. She heaved, straining to help pull them both out onto dry land. "Come on, mousebrain!" she hissed, her hind paws churning the dirt as she pulled.
(I can totally see Waspwing and Snaketooth with a brother-sister like dynamic at some point tbh especially after this whole ordeal, Waspwing definitely won't forget that he helped her get Shybird across the river even if she won't admit how grateful she is to his face, and Waspwing and Robinsong too I feel like they could become a lot closer after their talk)

Ravenstar's eyes flashed at the words spilling out of his mouth. "You think Fogstar is so great do you? There's a reason he made me deputy and I promise you it's well beyond my way with words. He may be a coward but he's not fox-brained, he could see who I was as clearly as anyone else." He chuckled to himself, rushing at the tom now, claws out and ready to kill. He didn't have time for playing with Snowclaw anymore, he wanted him gone, wiped away from this territory like the piece of waste he thought he was.
{I like both those names! I was thinking something pertaining to his pelt color but..we have a Raven already and I do not think it'd be wise to reuse that name rn lol.
Poor Snowclaw! I'll probably make a Starclan side to the warriors page just because I don't want to abandon the cats completely. }

{I love that idea tbh, especially since Waspwing was the one who told Robinsong about his lil crush. }
Snaketooth climbed to shore, his breathing hitched. He looked to Waspwing for a moment before turning his clan mates. "We have to go, I know we don't want to leave Snowclaw behind but he's doing this on purpose, I feel it in my heart. We need to get out of here now." He turned to Waspwing, sniffing at her. "Can you help me carry Shybird away from here?"

(Crow, Shade, Shadow, Dark, Night, Spider, Rook and Bat all work!)
Snowclaw snarled, drawing himself back and squaring his shoulders as he prepared to meet Ravenstar. "Fogstar is a thousand times the leader you could ever be." He surged forward, ears pinned flat against his head and claws outstretched. Ravenstar is going to kill you. There was that voice again, the same one from before. He ignored it; he knew Ravenstar would kill him, and he was not afraid to die. Frostflower, I'm so sorry.
He lunged, spitting fury at the CedarClan leader, his eyes wild and burning with a thirst for the black tom's blood. He collided mid-air with Ravenstar, and aimed to sink his teeth as hard as he could into his back, right between his shoulder blades. But he'd left his throat exposed, and he realised just a second too late.

Breathless, Waspwing met Snaketooth's gaze with her own piercing yellow one. At the mention of Snowclaw, she turned to look over her shoulder; Snowclaw had collided with Ravenstar mid-air, aiming for a vicious attack, but she had a feeling that Ravenstar had spotted his exposed throat even before she had done. "S-Snowclaw," she gasped, her ears flattening to her head. She took a step forward instinctively, wanting with all her heart to save the old white tom, but Snaketooth's words drew her back. She looked down, at Shybird's body by her paws. "We'll bury her in her home, where she belongs," she agreed in a whisper, forcing herself to look away as Snowclaw's body fell to the ground.
(I'm actually...so sad I love Snowclaw)

He met him in the middle, preparing to launch an attack. Ravenstar bit at his throat and brought the tom down to the ground, he turned to him and bit down hard, he badly wanted to ruin his opinion on Fogstar but he had more important matters at paw. He felt the warrior growing more limp beneath him and when he knew Snowclaw had passed, he dropped him down, whispering into his ear. "You always were weak. You couldn't even bring yourself to follow the leader you claimed to love so dearly." He licked the blood around his muzzle and stared at the cats across the river. He felt like he had his fill of them. "Go to Fogstar and tell him I'll be there soon to finish him off just like this crow food." He kicked Snowclaw's body aside as he turned and left. He had to find the cats in his camp to discuss his new plan.

I love those warrior names btw}
Snaketooth heaved Shybird up and looked across at Ravenstar as he walked away. He was unsure of what he meant but he didn't dwell on it too long, instead he focused on bringing Shybird back to their camp. "Ashpelt, let's please go home." His voice sounded dull, lives were lost today and he wished he knew how to prevent them. He turned and started his way back to their territory, tail drooping.

(I might've just had an idea for what I'm going to do with Frostflower. I wanted to make a form for her and have her somehow find FogClan or at least have some form of redemption arc, but I think I might focus on her kits instead. She's expecting, but not terribly far along and will probably give birth in a couple of moons. After her argument with Snowclaw and Snowclaw telling her that her kits will die if Ravenstar is allowed to have his way, she returns to the camp only to flee that night (perhaps with Redtuft's help I'm not sure yet) and escape the territory. If I decide that Redtuft helps her get out, he's caught by Ravenstar and will be executed, because Ravenstar will probably figure out that Redtuft found Brambleflower after all and let her go. Frostflower will try and search for FogClan but will not be able to find it, and she'll eventually die as a loner when her kits are about 6 moons old. Her kits, however, will eventually find FogClan at some point but I haven't really worked out the details of that yet)

"You filthy, murdering piece of rat-dung!" Waspwing screeched after Ravenstar as he walked away, her hackles raised and eyes sparking with fury. She stared at what remained of Snowclaw on the opposite bank. Once a noble, proud warrior, a cat who had risked his life to help them get Twistedpaw and the others away from Ravenstar, now reduced to a lifeless shell, his strange mismatched eyes dull and empty as they stared across the river. She nodded in agreement as Snaketooth spoke, fighting the tears that she could feel welling in her eyes.

Snaketooth rest his tail on her shoulder, trying to calm her down now. He didn't like looking at Snowclaw's body but there was nothing he could do now, he just need to keep going forward. "Waspwing, he's with Starclan now. He will always be with us." He gently mewed to her, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the fact he couldn't joke and make her happy. He let out a deep breath through Shybird's neck and steered Waspwing around to follow him.

Brambleflower hesitantly emerged from the bush in which she had been hiding, on the edge of the bank a tree-length or so away from where Ashpelt and the others stood. She had seen Snowclaw's final moments, his courageous charge and the scathing words that he'd spat to keep Ravenstar's attention on him rather than his Clanmates, and her eyes had filled with tears as she watched her dear friend fall at the claws of that vile murderer. "You were brave, Snowclaw, the bravest cat I've ever known. Find peace in StarClan, old friend," she murmured, hanging her head. Her paws were weary and sore as they carried her along the bank of the river to where Ashpelt waited, Kitepaw trotting along beside her. "Ashpelt," she called out, her voice hoarse and tired, "you waited for us." She spoke almost as though she didn't quite believe it. And in a way, she didn't.

Waspwing sighed, her tail drooping as she nodded her head. "I know," she murmured, "but he didn't deserve to die like that." While she hadn't trusted Snowclaw at first, the more he visited their camp each day with freshly-caught prey and a kind, fatherly smile as he spoke about how good life would be in the new Clan when they'd rescued everybody, the more she'd grown to like him. He reminded her vaguely of her own father, and watching him die like that... It never gets any easier. She cast one last, sorrow-filled glance at Snowclaw's body; they wouldn't be able to bring him over the river the way they'd brought Shybird, Snowclaw would be too heavy. She followed Snaketooth, her shoulders sagging, but she made an effort to nose her way underneath Shybird's haunches to prop her Clanmate's body on her back.

Snaketooth was at least glad they managed to get a lot of warriors and the apprentices out of the camp when they could. "Fogstar will still hold a vigil for him, I'm sure. He's always been the type to do that." He tried to reassure her, noticing how badly it was upsetting her. He glanced to the cats around him then to the mountains, his heart tugging him towards them. He had been away far too long from his other clanmates and he hoped they would return home soon so he could sleep in his own nest, and try to forget this happened.

Brambleflower nudged Kitepaw in the direction of the patrol, and the young tabby tom bounded ahead of her to speak to the rest of their Clanmates who had managed to escape. She approached at a much slower pace, her paws dragging in the dirt as a wave of fatigue washed over her. "Is Frostflower here?" she asked, glancing around at the cats around them; she couldn't see the silver-and-white queen, but Dappleleaf, Gingerstripe and Hollycloud were all present, "she left the camp with Snowclaw as Kitepaw and I were leaving." Brambleflower had never really liked Frostflower all that much, the other she-cat was a supporter of Ravenstar, and had always had an aloof, snappy manner about her, but, like her, Frostflower was a queen expecting kits, and she was worried about her safety.

"She never came." Snaketooth grunted, he didn't know why she didn't, unsure of it all. He knew someone had to have told Ravenstar their plan but it was up in the air who. She probably did though, that's why she isn't here. He didn't like the idea of a cat turning against them but he knew the situation she was in, it had to have been a rough choice for her. He had no idea how he would have felt or reacted in her fur.
{I am off to bed, if smokey comes on you can drag Snaketooth back to camp with you guys ^^ }
