Haven’t done one of these in a while, so let’s see how it goes with some of my go to ocs. If it’s not too much to ask I’d like reasons too c: Dimheart — Pale silver, almost white, molly with only black tabby stripes and amber eyes. (I love how this is set up. Could mean dim in color, but I honestly just like it for its originality. Only issue I would see with it is the double meaning of 'stupid'.) Hummingfrost — Pale silver tabby with a feathery tail and amber eyes. (Humming just doesn't often click very well in a name. It's hard to do right. -frost is good though. ) Snakeflower — Dilute calico molly with green eyes. (Not bad! Not a combo you see often. Animal + plant has always been a slightly awkward combo for me, however.) Hickoryburn — Ruddy tomcat with green eyes. (It's the -burn part, to be honest. It could be a name given to represent a fiery personality, but it honestly just makes me think of the injury.) Chickenflight — Black and white tom with apple green eyes. (Honestly I did several double takes here. It is a very interesting choice of names. Nothing particularly wrong with it in a logical sense, though the double take was fun. If I consider it without the double take, then it's just a bit blah.) Tawnyface — Heavily scarred tawny tomcat with rosettes and one amber eye. (I like it! I've never seen -face coupled with Tawny before! It makes it a really interesting change!) Owlfoot — Light brown tabby tom with amber eyes. (Just meh. Classic name.) Aspensky — Small cinnamon tabby tom with amber eyes. (You'd be surprised how little I see Aspen or -sky used. I like it. Very memorable.) Firefrost — Pale ginger and white tomcat with pale green eyes. (I think I've seen someone else come up with a name like it, but cold and hot isn't usually combined in a name. It's interesting.) Pebblepool — Russian blue molly with green eyes. (Very nice! It's a very pretty name. I noticed a lot of blue cats are called -pool. ) Crocodilefang — Small but muscular tawny tom with darker rosettes, amber eyes, and a bobbed tail. (Oooo! Very nice! Not used very often! Perhaps regionally it wouldn't be very uncommon, but I like that it isn't something we usually see.) Houndshadow — Long haired black Oriental tom with pale green eyes. (One of my friends has an OC with a name like this. It's very fitting for the cat, but probably unusual for the clan.)

ooh, i used to love these on the old forums. this might be a lot of names eee but here's mine. i'd love your reasoning as well! ^^
Blackriver [ she-cat ] (-river is very rarely included in names which makes this a particularly unique and interesting name.) Mossystone [ tom ] (A name that I have rarely seen, but still invokes a classic feel to it that makes it something you'd expect to see in the books.) Hickorybreeze [ tom ] (A slightly unusual and awkward feel to this name. Both the prefix and suffix are not commonly used, but this feels like a name that might be given to a cat who completed some feat of speed before becoming a warrior - making it unusual and more relevant for those who were there.) Rabbitbounce [ tom ] (A name which seems to tell me a lot of about this tom's personality even into adulthood. Good job. The originality also brings a lot to the table.) Spottedfire [ she-cat ] (I've seen this name several times, but it still isn't particularly usual. Probably used for a cat who is energetic or maybe award as a Warrior name after a battle. Either way, there's a bit of speculation there with two very common pre/suffixes being combined into something special.) Lilacsky [ she-cat ] (I had a friend with a warrior name of this. Breaking it down, the use of colors like 'Lilac' are a bit unusual. Erin Hunter never seemed to follow the color spectrum that cats can actually see, so we'll ignore it to. As it stands, Lilac is unusual both as a color name and flower name. Combined with -sky, it usually would have gotten docked because often if following general book canon names with such an interesting combination need context of the cats life. But the name's beauty and uniqueness carried it higher in points.) Hawkswoop [ she-cat ] (A classic name which is within the main Warrior series. Shows a good example of territory based names which are often given to cats based less on personality and more of the surrounding they are familiar with.) Slitherstrike [ tom ] (A completely original name given with a very particular story in mind. In this case, I can think of only two reason for the suffix. It was either awarded as a acknowledgment for battle/hunting achievements or perhaps as a punishment and warning when a cat was banished. It has the classic canon villain theme, but that doesn't mean anything at first glance. It also is coupled very well with each other, though might bring up the question of who names their kit Slitherkit.) Jayfrost [ she-cat ] (-frost is a very uncommon suffix as far as I've seen. Poppyfrost is the one I can think of off the top of my head. It is also often given to she-cats as far as I know. Originality scored you more, but the dissonance between the prefix and suffix docked points. It feels less like there might be a story and that it might reflect a cats physical description - i.e. light colored tabby perhaps - which makes me think that there might be other options. Otherwise, it makes me think that the cat might be cold in personality. Since the suffix is added later, it reflects greatly on what other cats might think of the cat getting the name. If placed in the books, this is a background character in the canon clans. A cat with a name that might have a bit less of a story to tell to the clans and maybe one who wont go down in history.) Vultureshade [ tom ] (This name invokes a very interesting idea of the territory this clan of cats live in. Also an interesting story. A cat is named Vulturekit, which as it is tells us a bit about the parents of this tom. In addition, -shade is added. This makes me want to know more about this cat. It is another that makes me think of a classic villain name.) Stagleap [ tom ] (A classic name with a good idea of where the cats are located and a cat who is known for their agility. There is nothing much to say about this cat.) Mothcatcher [ tom ] (This is a very interesting name. Moth- seems to be gendered a bit in the warrior series - usually for she-cats I believe. Or at least it is often gendered within the fandom. This makes me think this cat was perhaps named for his pelt and markings, which actually makes me think of some very good visuals for this cat. Further than that, he was given an unusual and very special suffix. This cat has a story. I am very invest in it.) Stagleap [ tom ] (Whoops! We have a repeat!) Foxfreckle [ she-cat ] (You managed to do another very original name. This cat seems to be named for her pelt for the most part. So perhaps not a major character, but perhaps a fan favorite. It also hints because of the unusual name that she might have a very fun or potent personality.) Kestrelcall [ she-cat ] (Bordering on the classic again - I've seen this name several times before.) Lynxtuft [ she-cat ] (Bordering on the classic again - I've seen this name several times before.)

Hmmm... can I get reasons too, Mint? Valleyfrost (*wink wonk*) (Not a name used very often, but also one which tells only a bit about the character and the territory they might grow up in.) Robinstrike (Robin coupled with strike makes it sound a bit awkward. Sounds like a name that was given to a warrior after a great feat in battle rather than anything personalized toward their personality.) Smokecrest (Sounds both original and like it could tell me a bit about the cat. Sounds like it might be given in honor of their coat color and perhaps about a proud personality.) Fallowrush (Very nice name, tells me about the territory and prospectively about the character.) Sparrowbreeze (Sounds like your classic Warrior name.) Swallowcall (Swallow has yet to be used anywhere I can think of, so point to that!) Kitefire (Ehhhh. Just isn't speaking to me. Kite is a awkward name to use since it it's a common item for humans and you don't at once think of the bird. Second thing is 'fire', which makes the full reading seem like 'Kite-the bird-fire'.)

Thank you for the feedback, Mint! barges in with more namesRenastream (Daylight warrior, SkyClan) (Awww! It sounds very cute! And the pieces actually sound pretty good together!) Mintyfall (also a Daylight warrior) (I gotta approve. It has 'Mint' in it!) Robinstrike (Classic warrior name, probably given to a good warrior!) Dawnflower (Very classic warrior name. I've even pretty sure it's in the books. Usually given to a queen of some sort and you forget the name because it's got two such common parts.)

Reasons please! Morningdew (Acceptable name, but I've seen it fairly often.) Valleyflower (Oh, I like this one!) Blackfeather (Kinda simple. Good classic name!) Peachstep (Unusual! I like it!) Feathercloud (I'm actually 75% sure this is a canon name.) Thistlerain (I just really like this one for some reason.) Icesky (Seems like a classic name, but has a twist that I like - I haven't seen it before.) Silverclaw (I'm a sucker for Silver- names.) Fawnspots (Awww! Cute! Seems like a slightly classic name, but almost a level up!) Rowanblaze (Eh. Lost a bit. It's the -blaze.)

ay im back with more (it'd be nice to see reasons too!) Mudberry (Original name, with a slightly classic feel!) Ratscratch (Slightly boring and easy. Can see it as a classic name.) Grackleflight ( I gotta like it. I only recently found out grackles were a thing.) Pondgaze (Acceptable, but makes it a bit awkward when it's Pond-. There just isn't much you can do with that.) Marshpuddle (I like it just because it doesn't seem like something you'd think of right off the bat.) Swifthorse (I've always found it odd that horse wasn't ever used. I think this is a fun name.) Foxfern (Okay, I'm just biased to the Fox- prefix.) Whisperwind (Biased toward this too, but I also like how I've never seen Whisper- used before.) Badgerjaw (Yesssssssss! You are on a roll. I like this one. I've never seen anything like it before.) Pebblestep (Meh. Slightly boring.)
