Okay, this was a thing for a while. And I miss it cause it was fun. The deal is you give me a list of OC Warrior names (with or without character descriptions) and then I rate them off a scale. Since this is tough, I mean TOUGH. It's just generally fun. So, for the rating scale I'll give an emoji. And if you get high enough (or wild enough) up that scale then you get into honor hall! Rating Scale: (1/10 stars: Not impressed) (2/10 stars: Very meh) (3/10 stars: Boring.) (4/10 stars: Could be better.) (5/10 stars: Getting there.) (6/10 stars: Not horrible.) (7/10 stars: There we go!) (8/10 stars: Very cool name.) (9/10 stars: Awesome name!) (10/10 stars: Literally the best name. Honer Hall!)
Other scale: (LOL Hall of Laughs right there!) HONER HALL: -- Silentshore (Hazelholly) -- Fallenfire (Hazelholly) -- Chillymist (Hazelholly) -- Snowmoth (Smore) - Curlingmist (rei) HALL OF LAUGHS: -- Rainhead (Redfleck) -- Whistlecreek (Hazelholly) -- Yarnbrain (Weaseltail) If you'd like, I can give a more detailed explanation on why I rated a name the way it was. ^^

Flashleap 7. Featherfern 8. Sunstream 9. Leopardstrike 10. Gorseflower If you want any explanation on why you got the scores you got, then feel free to ask! ^^

Ooh I’m gonna try! This is practically a family tree tbh. Pikepelt’s kits are the names 4-11. Duskstone’s kits are 6-11. And Mistygorse’s kits are Havenstorm and Starlingstorm. Just put Embertuft and littermates there because, yeah. 1. Duskstone 2. Pikepelt 3. Mistygorse 4. Starlingstorm 5. Havenstorm 6. Hawkdapple 7. Hedgebracken 8. Flyblaze 9. Mistlethorn 10. Thistlebreeze 11. Moletail 12. Windywing 13. Blazefern 15. Smokepelt 16. Embertuft ( )

1. Duskstone (While I like names with 'Dusk', when it's matched with 'stone' I find it a bit lack-luster. Dusk is a time of day/night and doesn't seem to match with stone.) 2. Pikepelt (I think I've seen it used too much at this point. Plus 'p' and 'p' sounds just make it seem a bit meh.) 3. Mistygorse (I like the use of Misty! And 'gorse' isn't used very often. But 'gorse' as a last part of a Warrior name should be used very hesitantly and I don't feel it worked out as well as it could have.) 4. Starlingstorm (Imagining a storm of starlings can be both disturbing or cool. I lean toward disturbing, with an added sense that it was just a bit too odd.) 5. Havenstorm (I liked this. It made it sound like there was a haven from the storm or a haven in the storm. As a name, it might also be very good for history, since the kit was named 'haven' but something between then and becoming a warrior added the second part of 'storm.) 6. Hawkdapple (Meh. Dapple when referring to bird names it pretty common so I've seen it fairly often.) 7. Hedgebracken (Slightly confused me. A hedge is a bush and bracken doesn't come in bushes. This is Warriors and 'Mistmouse' is canon. But Hedgebracken made me think too much about why in the world a cat would be named that.) 8. Flyblaze (Anything with 'fly' makes me raise an eyebrow and then 'blaze' is either a pelt marking or a small fire. So how a warrior would be named that was ... slightly odd to think about.) 9. Mistlethorn (Mistle doesn't get used often and the sound of the name (the 't' in Mistle' and the 't' in thorn) went well together.) 10. Thistlebreeze (Thistle and breeze is another not seen too often! And points for actually making it a decent sounding name.) 11. Moletail (But a small pfft, just not a large ha ha) (While funny, 'mole' is the sort of name which needs to be treated lightly. There are only a few endings which actually work well. ('whisker', to go to canon again, is good if we didn't mix him up with Mousewhisker.) Tail not so much, because the visual and what the name might mean for the cat and their personality doesn't really work.) 12. Windywing (Windy is never used and fits well with wing.) 13. Blazefern (Neither here nor there. It's a fern on fire, if you want literal. For a cat, they have a harsh sounding beginning and a peaceful end. The actual sound of the name is fun to say, however.) 15. Smokepelt (I'm just found of the name Smoke. It was a bias. ) 16. Embertuft ( ) (Not bad. Tuft isn't used much. However, when it is used, it's a bit tricky.) And if you want reasons I can give them! embertuft

Yeah, I really missed these too, and tbh this looks funner than most of the ones I've seen! Okay, let me shoot for it: 1. Junipersong (I keep reading it as Jumpersong, if I'm honest. Juniper as a whole isn't used to much and song isn't often used for plants. So not a horrible name.) 2. Brackenflame (Plant name, fire ending. If I had why a cat was named this, maybe, but as it stands not the most impressive name I can think of.) 3. Brackenberry (Makes me think of Brambleberry. It's just meh. Nothing out of the mainstream.) 4. Berrybright (Amusing with a 'b' 'b' sound. Rolls of the tongue.) 5. Dawnpoppy (Very interesting mental image. Nice colors that I can think of.) 6. Flashleap (Flash has never been used, so I was hopeful. But 'leap' made it loose a little charm.) 7. Featherfern (Eh. Feather and fern always seem to go together or be similar enough in sound and intention to just be eh.) 8. Sunstream (Makes me think of sunlight on a stream, so nice!) 9. Leopardstrike ( 'strike' seems like something pretty mainstream to pair with a large cat name. It's an okay name, just nothing visual that makes think 'oh, so this cat might be interesting'.) 10. Gorseflower (It just didn't do anything for me. Nothing inherently wrong with it. Unless you want me to nitpick at the fact that Gorse is a harsh sounding name wherever it is placed, so it's hard to make a name which matches the same coarseness.) If you want any explanation on why you got the scores you got, then feel free to ask! ^^ Wildbriar

Thanks for the reasons!
There are a couple of certain things to why the cats are names that way. Flyblaze was named “Fly” because she’s small and “blaze” because of her tough personality.
Hedgebracken was named “Hedge” because of her spiky pelt and “bracken” was to honour a cat that died.
And Blazefern... ”blaze” for his pale orange pelt and, then this strange reason. Blaze/Ember and Smoke knew about cats being killed in the Clan by someone, and Emberpaw volunteered herself as bait. They hid in a fern bush watching. Blazepaw used to fern bushes to his defense, staying hidden then fighting, etc. Then they were honoured with warrior names, and a piece of fern was still stuck to Blazepaw’s ear. So he got called Blazefern, to honour the night they stopped a killer.
