honestly i rarely view him with either clan - to me he's more of a glorified rogue than a warrior. but, for the purpose of this thread, i'd say i categorize him with shadowclan!

Tigerclan
I always lean Thunderclan? But it depends on what stage of life we are discussing. Him as a kit, him as an apprentice, as a warrior? Thunderclan. As a leader? Shadowclan.
So most of his life, to me, he was Thunderclan.

honestly i rarely view him with either clan - to me he's more of a glorified rogue than a warrior. but, for the purpose of this thread, i'd say i categorize him with shadowclan! Okay yeah I see him as more of a rogue. Because being honest here, his biggest impacts on the clans were terrible, naturally most cats will remember him as a rogue rather than a clan cat, because in terms of psychology, and reflecting on human history, in which the books are based with human interactions and communication(in most aspects), the catβs will naturally try to ignore retelling of the bads, and moreso of the goods(glorification of the clans, an example; Skyclan being an unknown for a very long time, and the eventual ignorance of them having to leave). So I feel that even to the clans, heβs going to be remembered as a rogue, a fiend to the clans more than being a leader to them at one point. Either that or the clans will fall back into the routine of war again, and βTigerstarβ will be said to belong to any other clan to reject blame for his actions. Because letβs be honest, Tigerstar could be considered Riverclan if we stretched it. Heck, maybe Windclan at one point. What Iβm trying to say, is, you could justify him being literally any clan, due to his actions and responses. To me he was Thunderclan born, but in the end he did give up on the clans, so to me heβs a rogue. To me, heβs both Thunderclan and Shadowclan. Usually in cases like this, I alliance the cat with the clan they chose to be with in their end. Like Yellowfang, to me, sheβs Thunderclan, because she chose that. Tigerstar did choose Shadowclan, but he didnβt at the same time. It was a pawn to him, he never really belonged there. He belonged to Thunderclan, and left out of ambition and spite, but he still would choose Thunderclan if he could get his way. Arguably, this could be said for any cat and clan.
Whoops look at me reading way too far into things.

Still ThunderClan tbh. No matter what he did it always involved them and any other clans/cats he was with were just tools. I suppose at his core he could be considered clanless, as at the end of the day he didnβt care which clan he was leader of as long as he could have power. But at the same time so much of what he did was to punish ThunderClan- to first kill Bluestar, then kill the whole clan, then kill Bluestar and Graystripeβs kits, and ultimately try to destroy ThunderClan again with Scourge. Someone whoβs truly clanless wouldnβt really discriminate, and I almost feel like he never got over being exiled because he could never consider himself not ThunderClan deep inside- regardless of how poorly he treated them. Itβs hard to explain.
