How do you feel about their Clan-hopping?

Dovewing and Tawnypelt had pretty good reasons, Dovewing wanted to be with her mate and felt like her kits wouldn't be treated well in ThunderClan for being half-clan and Tawnypelt felt like ThunderClan didn't care about her and went somewhere where cats actually didn't openly whisper behind her back. At first Twigbranch's clan-hopping had a reasonable explanation to go to SkyClan, she wanted to be with her family. Then it became a poor reason, both Twigbranch's and Finleap's reasons.

I'm fine with Twigbranch, Finleap, and Tawnypelt. Dovewing was annoying about it

Twigbranch’s reasons were more justifiable to me, honestly. She had no choice as to where she grew up, and she wanted to and had a right to find her family. The other times were more because she believed she was doing the right thing, and she was far more selfless in reasoning than others.
Dovewing just should have left sooner, period.
Tawnypelt left, stuck with it, and never regretted her choice. I love her for that.
Finleap was like Dovewing. More selfish, and purely affection-based.
I have more acceptance for Twig and Tawny than I do for Fin and Dove, but all in all the clan hopping was never that big of a problem for me.

Tawnypelt wanted to show loyalty to her adopted clan after Thunderclan being mean to her and Fireheart just dismissing it like it was no big deal.
Dovewing didn't wanted to separate her kits with their father and in OotS she demonstrated interest to go to Shadowclan but didn't because of the prophecy.
I feel like these two had good reasons to clan jump.

I'm fine with all of them, honestly (although, Finleap's personality is a different story entirely). The only reason I got so annoyed with Twigbranch was because of how often she left camp in general that it just felt like she Clan-hopped more than twice. Other than that, so long as they're happy in their respective environments, I really could care less.

Dovewing, Tawnypelt, and Twigbranch had good reasons to Clan jump.
Finleap's was shitty imo.

As many here know, I used to be much harsher on Twigbranch and irritated with her, but now a few threads here have softened me on her. I'm more understanding on why she changed Clans and was so finicky, even if I still think it was a bit annoying. I think part of my problem was that like 𝓣𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓿𝓲𝓮𝓵 said, she snuck out and broke rules so often that it felt like she was leaving Clan so much, when she wasn't lol On my reread when I get to AVOS, I'm going to have to stop and take notes of each times she snuck out when she was in ThC first as a kit/apprentice, then SkC as an apprentice/almost warrior, then back to ThC as an apprentice/warrior again. Dovewing...y'all don't need me to recount my feelings on her, Tigerheart, and changing Clans lol With Finleap, I kind of get it? He was young and following a pretty girl...but it was impulsive, too. If you add that with his behavior later and how he kept pressuring Twigbranch to have kits so he'd "feel he belongs" and how he'd "never feel he belongs unless they had kits," was gross. She did not ask him to go with her. He came on his own violation and insisted to both her and the rest of ThC that that was what he wanted. He was basically holding her accountable for his actions and making her feel guilty. Ugh. I would've have minded him going back to SkC, tbh. Tawnypelt is more complicated for me. She was dumb to switch Clans, but she was an older apprentice, and that was her right. She also stuck with the decision, even though out of all of them, I think she has legit the most valid reasons to change back to ThC if she wanted to over the course of the books. She's been insulted and demeaned so many times that it's ridiculous. The part that I find interesting, too, is that Firestar trusted Tawnypelt more than Bramblestar. He admits that he should feel more suspicious of her since Tigerstar was her father, too, but she didn't look like him. So perhaps that means that she could've become deputy, then leader, of ThC if she'd remained. Because Firestar did admire Bramblestar's determination, strength, and ambition...he thinks a few times, "If only he weren't Tigerstar's son/didn't look like his father!" a few times throughout the books, and that Bramblestar could make a good warrior if he didn't have that hanging over his head. Tawnypelt didn't have that baggage, where Firestar was concerned. If she had stayed, I can imagine her eventually becoming deputy over Bramblestar, but maybe that's just me ;p Her path to that probably would've had a lot less pitfalls than it did with Bramblestar...but honestly, a lot of the so-called judgement he felt was pretty imagined, which I realized recently. He wasn't getting judged left and right from TNP onward like his narrative always insisted he was. That might be why he annoys me so much in TNP.

Twigbranch: Did it because she was trying to find her place in the world, even if it was overbearingly annoying.
Dovewing: Did it just to be with her baby daddy *rolls eyes*
Finleap: Did it for a girl that he treats like crap, yikes.
Tawnypelt: Did it because of the pressure of being like her father, during all time tensions of war, and for family.
Imo the only two with at least legitimate reasonings were Tawny and Twig, the other two were for done reasons or done in irresponsible manners.

I got ya! From what I can recall, it was seven times without permission. 1) Snuck out as a kit to gather herbs for Jayfeather and Alderpaw 2) Snuck out to ask Violetpaw to help find their mother 3) Snuck out to tell Violetpaw that their mother was dead 4) Snuck out to find SkyClan 5) Snuck out of SkyClan's camp with Finpaw 6) Snuck out to the Moonpool 7) Snuck out to speak to Violetshine about appointing Tawnypelt as leader And if you wanna count them, there's also Alderpaw and Needlepaw taking Twigkit and Violetkit to meet each other, and Twigpaw convincing Ivypool to let her check on Violetpaw. And I guess there's also her going to look for Pebbleshine and later going to retrieve SkyClan, but I don't really count those since she actually gets Bramblestar's permission for these. I especially love how she even lampshades this, so she's at least self-aware.
