I'm not sure whether to believe this theory or not. I mean, isn't Harespring supposed to be older than Heathertail? He's shown to at least be the same age as Berrynose since both were shown as apprentices in After Sunset: We Need To Talk (assuming it's still canon). Heathertail is older than Lionblaze, but only by at least a moon and a half since that's how long she'd been an apprentice when she first met him.
Unless Heathertail was apprenticed late or Harespring became a warrior early, but she didn't seem to be as old as Berrynose was at the time, either, or at least wasn't mentioned to be. The only other in-universe explanation there would be is that they're actually just half-siblings instead.

I suppose it depends on when the play takes place. After reading Leafpool's Wish, I assumed the play took place after that. But I wasn't one hundred percent sure that Sorreltail's kits weren't apprenticed yet.

Well, Harespring could be Heathertail's older brother.

Well, Harespring could be Heathertail's older brother. That still wouldn't work, though. Queens are pregnant for two to three moons and their kits usually become apprentices at six moons. Harespring is about the same age as Berrynose and Mousewhisker. Heathertail is more or less about the same age as Cinderheart and Poppyfrost. Note that all four cats trained together, too. It wouldn't make any sense if Harespring was Heathertail's older brother.

I've always liked to imagine Kestrelflight being Heathertail's brother, but I also like to imagine them both being adopted, so whatever.

Maybe Harespring is Heathertail's older brother from a previous litter?

Heathertail is the same age as Cinderheart and Poppyfrost judging by what Heathertail said in the sight. Harespring is the same age as Berrynose judging by that play. So them being siblings is highly unlikely. I'm glad, since I lowkey ship them.

I still believe they are littermates and Kestrelflight is their brother. It would make sense for Heathertail to be apprenticed late if we go off of that theory. Or maybe she was apprenticed normally and her training just took very long.

I still believe that they are brother and sister, with Kestrelflight being their sibling. Yes, I know all three got their full names far away from one another. But they could still be siblings. Thistleclaw got his full warrior name before Rosetail and Raggedstar got his full warrior name before Scorchwind.
So, maybe Harespring did something to get his full warrior name first? Thistleclaw fought the dog and Raggedstar made up that plan against the rats.

I personally believe Harespring, Heathertail and Kestrelflight are littermates and the kits of Whitetail and Onestar. That would explain why Harespring was made the deputy although he trained in the Dark Forest. And personally, I think that Sedgewhisker, Thistlepaw and Swallowtail are the kits of Gorsetail and Onestar after a one-night stand or something. Though that's mostly due to my dislike for the amount of forbidden couples in the series.

Harespring appears to be older than Heathertail though, so if they are littermates, she might've just been apprenticed late. And it's already been established that Gorsetail's mate and the father of her kits was Beechfur of RiverClan, though I assume you know that already.

Just personal preference honestly.

Definitely read Warbreaker before The Stormlight Archive, though.
