Honestly, yeah. Lately there's been a whole lot of complaining when someone posts about the topic of the book, and it ruins the excitement for me. Like when TRS came out before our version did in America, multiple people were complaining about Twigbranch's behavior instead of judging her for her growth in the later books.
There's also the fact that it just gives away a big plot twist. Like for example, you wouldn't expect the Onestar twist happening in Shattered Sky. Wouldn't you rather find that yourself on your own, feel the surprise, the anger, and shock, that a Clan leader helped make some monster?
Basically, the books have been receiving a lot of negative backlash lately, and it ruins the excitement for me. I perfectly understand TRS, because that was a genuinely horrible book, but the past half of the series other than that have been okay in my opinion and everyone seems to be overreacting about certain things or they're mad at the writers for some other reason.
I know the complaints are for good reasons. I get it. But it's honestly old, and tiring. Why get the book if you know you're not going to like it, and still complain, after reading the review? What's the point? Where's the fun in that?
Basically, leaks give away the excitement and wonder from reading the books, and I don't think I'm going to read topics on them anymore becaise most of the time people are going to complain about one thing or another and it's not pleasant to read about.
Just a tip: Don't like the books? Stop reading them. My friend stopped reading them after TLH. It's not hard.

It’s not bad for Warriors itself but it’s extremely bad for the fandom

It can effect sales if the leak is widespread enough, but in the case of the Norwegian book being released early, I don't think it's too big of a deal, especially when spoilers are mostly contained to one or two websites where there are people who are invested enough to translate the entire book (ie this site lol)
Personally, after last time, I wouldn't read another spoiler thread for the Norway version because it makes the wait extra long (7 months instead of 5), but that's your personal choice whether you want to read the leaks or not, unless of course someone is a jerk and doesn't tag something. It also made the book seem way less appealing, and after thinking about it I almost convinced myself I wasn't going to continue reading warrior cats anymore because of the lack of deaths/twists and I thought the whole "deathberries are a cure" thing was pretty dumb. but after actually reading the book it wasn't that bad, so.
I think if we do get another foreign early release, people should just think long and hard about if they really want to be spoiled or if they just want to wait.

I think it depends on what you do with that leak, not the leak itself. If the Norway version was left alone and wasn't translated, that probably would've been best and I personally saw no need to translate the book when it would be coming out later. I actually liked TRS, but that was when I read firsthand, not the translation. In general, leaks are okay but it depends on what the fandom does with that leak and whether they leave it alone or they mess with the leak. I think that's the real issue here with leaks.

Honestly? I don't think they're bad at all. But then again, I take a while to process things, even though I'm a pretty fast reader, so getting a leak helps me a lot to prepare for the official release lol I get so excited that I have a habit of reading them in almost one sitting, then I think about it in the days leading up to the release, depending on how long it is. Either way, I'm going to read it again the day that it comes out...leaks or not make no difference for me personally as an individual. When it's out for sure, I reread it slower, and appreciate it more. From what I've seen concerning the fandom as a whole, I reckon many people read it twice, too.

Do you mean leaks of official content from the series or seeing spoilers posted by fans?

I don't mind leaks. It helps me prepare myself for accepting things I might not like about the series.

I've pretty much renounced any resolutions of buying any more Warriors books, so I don't mind the leaks at all.
