Perhaps if there was absolutely NO romance in a complete series of warriors books, more people would complain less (like me lol. i know im guilty).
Is it really too hard to ask for a complete 6 book series of warriors books to NOT have ANY romance AT ALL!!! No talk of romantic love, mates, cats having kits being a focus of a subplot, etc.
How about they actually focus on the prophecies and conflicts and adventure rather than romantic relationships. I'd much prefer reading about a she-cat and tom being best friends and having a good adventure without anyone bothering to ask if them if they will be mates or want kits, etc.
NONE OF THAT!
Romance should NEVER be the focus of ANY character unless they are super unimportant background characters that don't even get much screen time!
Plot and action comes FIRST.

Not really tbh. I don't mind the romance, I like romance and all that sappy stuff, I just wish it was done better nowadays.

I don't mind the romance, I like romance and all that sappy stuff, I just wish it was done better nowadays. so many people these days focus solely on shipping ( not just in warriors, but other series in general). i just want an adventure series to not have romance for once and with warriors' history of bad romances and horribly written ones, it'd be fresh as heck to not have any next time.

Yeah I love all the sappy romance stuff so it doesn't bother me that much. It would be cool to have a book that isn't so focused on it though, the latest Survivors series barely had any romance stuff in it and it was pretty refreshing compared to the rest of the Erin Hunter books.

I'd like to see a relationship develop over a few arcs.

I don't mind romance as long as it's written well and is consistent as the story/series progresses. Like Firestar x Sandstorm, for example.

Like others have mentioned, many romances in Warriors leave a lot to be desired. I wish all POV character pairings could be written like FireSand. Even some background pairings like BrackenSorrel, CloudBright, FernDust, and IvyFern were written well. If all POV pairings were developed naturally like FireSand and not "Omg I Love You After Seeing You Once," I genuinely wouldn't mind it, because we'd have substance to the pairings we're supposed to care about. Instead, almost all other romances for POVs seem too rushed and shallow, or just plain unhealthy and forced. Rather than getting more FireSand-like couples, scenes with pairings center-stage like JayHalf, LionCinder, and TigerDove just irritated me (but I did actually like LionHeather at the start...the only forbidden relationship I liked!) to no end.
