Introduction It is almost a given that in every story, book, movie, anything that the heroes have to win. That the pretty princess and popular princes have to beat the villain, have their romance, and leave everyone else in the dust of their glory. What if though... just once... villains were on top. That, when King Beast tried to round up all the villains and banish them, they fought back. Hard. For once, villains ruled the world. Overpowering the heroes and sending them in a scatter, they created their own world order, with three families in particular coming out on top. The cunning Mother Gothel, the manipulative Scar and, head of the current leading family,... Chernabog. These three houses held their ground among the other villains, most of whom look to them for leadership. However, that doesn't mean that they're all working together. The threat of heroes is surely gone, but Lord Chernabog and his House are threatened by the other two leading Houses, who lately have had their eye on the spot of "baddest of them all."

Groups House Chernabog: Ruthless, calculating and intelligent, House Chernabog has remained on top ever since anyone can remember. Even before the fall of heroes, many feared the Demon God and his army of the undead. This House values strength, smarts, fear and intimidation. Why bother fighting if your display does it for you? These people take pleasure in watching others suffer, relishing in their fear. Most other family became well-known for their cunning and determination, but House Chernabog took the top with sheer strength and demonic power. > Head of House: Chernabog > Lady of the House: Maleficent > Second in Command: Roger Cherna, > Third in Command: Milana Cherna, > Members: Raiden Yu,
House Scar: Led by Scar, this House values the hunger for power. Being strong does indeed help, but sometimes the strongest are not always on top, but rather those who choose to take the leap into power. For the longest time, they have wanted to be on top, to be the baddest of them all and to have the glory of command over all the lands. However, only one other House really stands in their way of course, Chernabog and his family. The top dogs due to their power and ability to cast fear into the hearts of many. This family hopes to one day outmaneuver their tactics though, so that they may one day be the ones looking down on everyone.
> Head of House: Scar > Lady of the House: Zira > Second in Command: Pending > Third in Command: Hasir Negasi
> Members: Amandla,
House Gothel: The other two Houses have determination and power on their side, but this family has cunning. Most of them are absolute snakes, even more so than House Scar. Wip > Head of House: Mother Gothel > Lord of the House: Hans Westergård > Second in Command: > Third in Command:
> Members: Corvin de Vil, Scylla King,
Rebels: This group consists entirely of offspring. Children of villains. None of them either conformed to a house or had been born into one. So they came together under their own leader and function separately from the other Houses. They still wish to be on top though, with desire to dethrone Chernabog and keep the other Houses from the top. Their leader also seems to want to ally with hero kids. Auradon kids, and this divides the group cause not every villain kid wants them to be supported. > Leader: > Second in Command: > Advisers: Ma'at, > Members: Dersnatch Negasi,
Unaffiliated: The ones who don't wish to side with a House or even run with the rebels go in this division. A lack of division. Some are explorers, some are merchants, and some are merely wanderers. Either way, they do not affiliate with any official group, wanting to find their own ways, perhaps steering clear of the fighting. > List: Balor the Mountain, Daisy,

Locations (wip and to be added to as rp progresses)Triglav Manor: The main HQ of Chernabog's family. The manor itself is a massive structure built to house both his family and higher ranked comfortably, and then some. Made of stone and marble, with pillars set up around the larger building, which is surrounded by smaller housing and other structures such as, surprisingly, a garden of grand scale. Wip. (Specific locations will be added to as I see them.)Gothel Manor: Just as the other top-tier families live grandly, so does this one. However, Mother Gothel wanted something that spoke royalty more than just a nice home. This family lives in what's fashioned a bit more like a castle, with tons of rooms and hidey holes just like that tower. And speaking of, there's a single, large tower built on the far end of the property, and no one is allowed in or out without Mother Gothel's permission. What could be up there, you ask? Well, Rapunzel of course! How else would Gothel continue to look so young? Wip Prideland Manor: wip Ruins of Auradon: King Beast had already opened up Auradon Prep before the villains had taken over. It was relatively new, not even opened yet. It's the only structure that remains of the lands of "Auradon", though its buildings and such are in ruins rather than pretty towers and the like. Mainly just there just to be there, maybe as a reminder for any heroes who get stupid ideas! Cities: There are plenty of small cities across the land, each with all kinds of places to visit and goodies to find.

Amandla found herself wandering through the manor. She is ignored by the various lionesses that walk past her but she knows they were most likely eyeing her warily. "Dumb lions." She muttered shaking her head. One of these days, someone was going to show them who was boss. She stopped to look at a portrait of Scar and rolled her eyes.
Raiden swings his sword around as he approaches the training yard. He didn't have anything to do and didn't want anyone to lecture him about random stuff. His father was off doing who knows what. A part of him wished he could be spending time with him. He reaches one of the dummies and starts slicing and slashing at it.

Scylla KingDaughter of Ursula and the Horned King
It was always a wonder. To watch the others. Not because they themselves were interesting, not really, but because of their behavior. It was absolutely fascinating, mainly the other two Houses. They thought themselves so high and mighty, yet almost every last one of them would return to the dust from wence they came. Back to her father's domain. Back to her. The thought made her lips curl slightly, and she felt a little better as she walked the grounds of the manor. It was indeed a grand place, such being the way of arrogance. She didn't mind it though, as it was better than scrabbling around in the dark. Scylla always used to be reminded by her father to not be swamped by the idea of luxury. That she needed to learn how to live like those who didn't have luxury so she wouldn't become one of the snobs. She wondered if her father had grounds to say as such though, given that he was a king. He didn't exactly live in a grand palace or the like though.
As she toured the grounds for the millionth time, looking around at the nice plantlife and smaller surrounding buildings for various storages or housing, she couldn't help but frown. Yes, plenty within House Gothel were living well, basically all of them were, but it was evident who were held in any true regard. Just Gothel's children. Even the second in command was not as favored as her kids. "Makes me sick," she grumbled softly. There wasn't much anyone could do besides complain though really. And even that would get them scolded or the like. Sighing deeply, she looked over at the friend on her shoulder. "What do you think, Tox?" He of course didn't answer, merely looking at her with his hollowed sockets. Nodding to him as if he said something, Scylla looked ahead while saying "I agree. Our heads of house don't even listen to the second all too much. Why'd you two pick her if you didn't plan on listening, right??" She briefly ran her fingers over his skull to pet him before dropping her arm. It was then that her second friend showed up, appearing out of absolutely no-f*cking where. She wondered where he went when he left, but she decided not to comment. "Hey, Rich." The skeleton looked down at her before looking ahead again, just walking with her, threads of magic keeping him from collapsing into a pile of, well, bones.
Most would be uncomfortable by the presence of the dead, but not her. They proved to be better company than a considerable amount of the living after all. They were more grateful for life than the living as well. The fact made her laugh a little, and she looked between her two closest friends. Tox waved his tail, and Rich merely tilted his head while looking at her. "I know. They just don't appreciate things like we do, do they?" And no, she didn't care that it looked like she was talking to herself. Half of the time she was. It helped her think, and thinking was what she did best, and that helped with her favorite thing. Having things go her way. Now, she wasn't an ambitious person, not at all. Well, not in the sense of wanting spotlight. Light was... well, too light. She liked to be in the darkness, so to speak. Darkness gave her cover, and cover allowed her to safely watch and observe everything and everyone. Doing so allowed her to plan properly and accordingly.
There was a problem though. There was... well, there wasn't anything worth paying attention to. Not really. The plotting against other houses was usually done by the higher-ups, and even then they apparently never got anything done. Tsking, she shook her head again. Honestly, House Gothel altogether was just a joke. At least under the current rule anyway. Against Chernabog and Scar, the two wannabes leading the group had no chance at being "baddest of them all." Still, Scylla didn't want to join either Scar or Chernabog. They were too... open about their ambition, albeit achieving it with different methods. "Too "out there" for our liking, right?" She patted the scapula of Richard, cracking a slight smile at the rattle of his bones. "No matter though... they'll be at my beck and call one day if they push their luck just far enough." The idea delighted her, though the only evidence of such was the slightest smile as she finally reached the doors of the main housing.
Richard opened the door for her, and she hummed her thanks as she walked past him, Tox still comfortably settled on her shoulders. Now completely surrounded by grandeur, she almost pulled a face. It was quite funny, knowing that the beauty surrounding her was meant as a statement more than a welcome. The style and decorations were that of Gothel's world and vision, and anyone not in her blood family were just being allowed to live in it. To live in her world. "Joke's on them though, right Rich?" No response. "They're allowing us to live in their "world" when they aren't even on top! They live below two other groups!" And no she was not afraid of the wrong people hearing her. She wasn't scared of much these days. Such was beaten out of her. Quite literally at one point too. That was all behind her now. Now, she was free to do as she wished, even though it didn't look it. After all, she claimed allegiance to another. It was only because she didn't want to be scrounging around ruins and the like just to survive. Not that she relied on anyone else there. As of now, she only trusted the two accompanying her on her little walk. Tox had been with her since she was a year old, and Rich since she was two. She hadn't learned to communicate with or summon them until she was older though, her father ordering them to stay with her at all times until then.
Ugh, now she was bored. Glancing to Rich, she spoke aloud again as they walked. "Maybe we should head out to one of the small towns or something for a market? They don't have any cinnamon rolls here." They didn't have much of anything she wanted here, really. It was just that a cinnamon roll was an easier thing to acquire at the moment, whether she was the one making it or not. It would be for her of course though. Tox and Richard couldn't eat, obviously. At this point though, she just wanted ro be out and about. For food at the moment. She didn't really spend a lot of time in the main housing because she saw it as a constant reminder of the higher-ups viewing literally everyone else as inferior. All three manors were not there for Chernabog, Scar and Gothel to be nice. They were built as a display of their authority and influence. Outward power was not true strength though, and the thought made her feel better again. Continuing on her little trek through the home, looking around at portraits, objects and other decor, she shook her head a little. Did she like it here? Not exactly, no. If anything it kind of irritated her to live there. Did she miss home though? Not one bit. Her father had been more ambitious, yes, but what his ambition was aimed at was a bit of a let down.
"Alright, you two. I think I've had enough of my brief reminder for today. Let's go look for that cinnamon roll."

Balor the MountainSon of Cyclops and Madam Mim
He wondered what it was like. To shave off three or so feet and just walk among others like a regular person. Well, as regular as someone like him could get. It was funny to think of their view as an entirely new world. Much more crowded, but a new world nonetheless. Hmm, now that he thought about it, he didn't want to change his height, not that he could if he wanted to. Balor wasn't able to shrink beyond his actual, original height of 8'11. Not that he minded in all honesty. He liked it, being able to see farther than most. Be able to get to things easier that would be out of reach to most others. Not for him though. His father always told him that he was strong and that he could do almost anything. Not that he wanted that though. That likely meant that he would end up having to hurt people, and he didn't like hurting anyone. Not for no reason anyway. Hunting for food involved killing, and he needed to eat.
"Igzy, come."
He heard the increasing sound of the padding paws as the wolf trotted up to him, nosing his leg with a soft whine. His companion wished to get going too. Smiling, he ran a hand through the fur on his head and he said "We'll go a little north this time, huh? There should be something there." He only got a few sniffs in response, but he kept his smile. Moving from his spot, he walked to the entrance of the small home he lived in. Well, sorta small. It was crafted to accommodate a man of his... height. It was one of his mother's gifts, helping him build it. His father insisted that he live in a cave or something of the like. And he had before, for a long time. It wasn't really his style though, not that he minded it. It was satisfying to just live completely off the land. Still, having a house was nice, in the sense that it provided good storage. He actually didn't even have a bed, instead having a huge nest of blankets and furs. Sighing, he grabbed his favored choice of weapon before heading out. A spear, crafted from wood and steel. If he wasn't able to catch the prey by hand, he would get it with his weapon, or Igzy would run it down.
With Igzy following beside him, he began the trek toward the desired grounds. And where was that? Just a ways west of one of the manors. Chernabog's, actually. Balor was usually left alone when hunting near there though, thankfully. That was mainly because he cleared out before he was seen, as well as leaving no trace behind. He just made his kill and left, just as he was to do again in the nearby forest. There would be deer or something running around hopefully. Just the idea of another hunt made him smile with excitement. He didn't necessarily enjoy the killing part though, just the thrill of being able to provide for himself, to catch his own food. Yes, he could always go and buy something, but he found that his stomach preferred more... primitive meals, he supposed. As if sensing his thoughts, Igzy barked and growled playfully. Balor laughed a little. "I bet you're ready to go too, huh? Yeah, city food isn't my favorite either." He got another short bark in response, and then the rest of the walk was in relative silence.
Upon finally getting to the desired area, he looked around for any signs of life. He heard birds, and even saw a few squirrels. None of those would do though. Not unless he was really hungry. As he looked about the trees and bushes, he noticed Igzy looking to the left. Arching a brow, he turned his gaze in that direction. His eye narrowed a little as he saw it, back towards him with its head tilted down as it ate the grass. Deer. Keeping himself a little crouched, he made a motion to Igzy to try and get on the other side of it. As the gray wolf disappeared into the bushes, barely making a sound. Gently setting his spear down, he waited for his companion to move. This was how they did things sometimes. Teamwork. He didn't have to wait long though. Hearing the cry of the buck, he watched it rear back a little before turning. Balor got ready to snatch it up. To grab it, and snap its neck. He didn't want him to suffer.
But the buck went left.
Grunting in surprise, he grabbed his spear as he moved from his spot, beginning to chase after it. "Igzy, follow!" He heard the growl of determination as the wolf began to pick up speed, charging ahead in attempt to get in front of the deer. To cut it off or at least slow it down. Anything, so Balor could catch up and get ahold of the buck. If he did, the buck was done for. Still running, he had a ways to go before he'd get tired or the like. Hopefully he'd make the kill before the buck outlasted him and Igzy. He had small bits of food and snacks back home and the like, but not anything he could make a proper meal out of. And he was always iffy on just going and buying something. It wasn't like he had no money though, as his father and mother had... acquired plenty of it. He just didn't like to go and waste money on temporary things when he could catch his own meals. He was able to think of all this as he followed the buck. Hefting his spear, he stopped before throwing it. Not to hurt the deer though.
He watched him be scared to the left. That's where Igzy came in though, snarling and snapping as he got on the left of the buck. The poor animal immediately turned around, hoping for a way out of the situation. For some sort of doorwayto more life.
Not that time though.
The buck cried out as Balor caught up, avoiding the swinging horns and grabbing his neck. He made sure the animal was looking at him though, so he wouldn't go into the next life alone. "Thank you," he grunted before finishing him off. One quick movement. One single, clean snap that caused the buck's wide-eyed gaze to become permanent and glossy. It made him frown though, eye studying the frozen expression. He needed to eat though, and at least he wasn't going to just take one part and abandon the rest or anything. He made sure every part of his kills were used. Settling down where he was, taking a few minutes to catch his breath, he looked over at Igzy, who whined softly. "Oh, fine. Here." Reaching over to the buck, he grabbed a leg, twisted it until he heard a snap. Then, he pulled, the haunch coming off rather easily. He set it down by Igzy, who dug in eagerly. What he didn't eat, Balor would just carry back home for his companion to have later.

Daisy
Daughter of Sunflower and Father Pegasus
Quiet. Quiet meant nothing was around, and that was good. There were obvious reasons as to why things were more difficult these days. Difficult for people like her anyway. For the "good guys", though she sometimes wondered about which interpretation of "good" was actually good. After all, it had been an attempt of heroes to try and run out all the villains, mad their kids to. To banish them from the desired lands and box them into a prison. That was what Sunflower told her anyway. And in all honesty, that didn't sound like something that good guys did. Maybe the villains should've been given another chance. The ones that were willing to try anyway. Daisy doubted that demon gods and dragon ladies would want to change their ways. The thought made her laugh a little, and she continued on her way.
She wouldn't mind attempting to make peace where she could, if she knew it would !and a difference for the villains, but she doubted it. They wouldn't ever take notice of one centaur, especially one who didn't classify as a "villain." The only people who got noticed were the main houses and those rebels. Speaking of, she had come across the rebel group. Met them, spoke with their leader. No fighting though, because the leader apparently didn't mind non-villain descendants. Daisy had received invitation to join due to her curiosity and bright mind. It was tempting, as it would basically be another herd. Another group watching her back, new people to befriend and protect. Still, she had a hunch that things wouldn't turn out well for the group. She just... didn't want to see what the trouble and fighting would do to the group. Not amongst heroes and villains, but what the main houses would do to the rebels.
Doing anything to attract attention wasn't always a good idea. That was why she didn't join the rebels, even though the leader had extended invitation for "hero kids" to join. Daisy knew the rebels wanted to try and butt heads with the big houses, and that honestly would just cause much more conflict and probably death than needed. Why couldn't everyone just get along? Put aside hate and try to work things out? Honestly though, she knew not to expect such from villains, especially ones who were well-known. It was all about status with them. 'I wonder what it would be like for them if the heroes had won?' She tried not to think about it too much though, cause it seemed it would remain only a dream. Never to be achieved, forever locked away in the darkness with no hope of getting out.
It was nice to dream sometimes though.
Smiling a little, the centaur continued on her way. Where was she headed? Nowhere really. She just... tended to go wherever. She was never bothered, and was usually able to avoid any conflict. She could shapeshift, but if she came across something that could handle a horse then she was done for. She usually just became a pegasus and tried to flee at that point. A fighter wasn't something she was, nor ever wanted to be. Leave that for the scrappers and villains. Not that she couldn't defend herself though. She needed to be able to, lest she be captured, killed or the like. And that wasn't exactly an interest at the moment. She was perfectly fine with little conflict, just looking to go about her travels. Daisy wasn't looking for any daring adventures or anything though. She just liked... traveling. Seeing the world and where it took her, and if she happened to come across something interesting, then she would investigate. Learning new things was almost always a yes for her, but if it seemed the process would be too dangerous she would either not expend effort or try to get help.
That made her think of her herd again. 'I wonder how they're doing.' She had gone to visit not that long ago, checking in to see how her mother, aunts and cousins were doing. It was always great to see them, as they are the same as her. Traveling freely and without destination. Neither hero or villains messed with other creatures much these days. They were either fighting each other or squabbling amongst themselves, though that was the villains mainly. As she thought about it, she looked up to see her friend gliding down. Jericho landed neatly on her back, ruffling his wings before looking up at her. "Hey, you." He tilted his head a little at the greeting, causing Daisy to smile before looking ahead again. She was thinking of heading into a nearby town to pass through and maybe find something to eat. She would need to be careful though, because tons of bad people were running around. Well, they were almost anywhere so she supposed she always had to keep her guard up. In official settlements anyway.
Her hooves pressed near soundlessly against the ground with each step, carrying her to her next destination. And where she was headed wasn't one of those modern cities of anything. She knew about technology through her friend, Lilith, but Daisy much preferred spending time around nature, with animals and trees rather than buildings and computers. Still, such was knowledge through, and she certainly made sure she knew what was what about technology before moving on. It would perhaps come in handy one day, should she ever find herself in such a situation. "What do you think, Jericho?" The falcon merely chirped as a response, and she laughed a little. And so the next while was walked in silence, Daisy just taking the time to look and take everything in, watching the occasional bird fly by or see the occasional berry bush. She of course ate off the land, as she lived in a wild herd up until a year or so ago, but she found herself interested in "human" food. It was... different to say the least, but usually in a good way.
Upon seeing the small town in the distance, she glanced back at Jericho. The falcon took flight with a few clean sweeps, and Daisy changed shape. Rearing up, she changed in a bright flash of light. The centaurs had been replaced by a human girl, and she watched Jericho fly above as she finished the walk on two legs.

Corvin Jay de Vil Son of Cruella de Vil and Jean-Pierre la Pelt
They say that before every bad event, there was an omen to precede it. A sign, of sorts, that gave warning to those smart enough to find it. Bad news could come in many forms, some vague, and some blatantly obvious.
This message, it seemed, arrived in the form of a cat.
Before Scylla could get too far away from the Gothel manor, a cat detached itself from the shadows -- not fat, not scrawny, but a big cat nevertheless. The feline wound it's way around the legs of the daughter of Horned King, before fixing her in a lamplike yellow gaze that looked too intelligent to be some stupid animal.
"She wants one as well. And I'd do it, too. Malachite gets a tad...miffed, if she's told no." Right on his pet's heels, the de Vil boy appeared, regarding the daughter of the Horned King in a cool, neutral stare, a hint of amusement on his pale features. "Mentioned it before, you'd have to be a git to argue with her. She's incorrigible." This being said, Corvin wasn't too familiar with Scylla. Not at all, really. The boy kept to himself, dutifully following the orders of Mother Gothel whenever she mentioned him, and making sure failure wasn't associated with him.
There were...rumors, perhaps, that while failure wasn't associated with him, that perhaps he made sure it was associated with others of their standing.
Nevertheless, he was a rising star in House Gothel, and since Mother Gothel so far had no true heirs to her name, he was one of the many who made an attempt to be the next in line. And was stiff, serious competition, at that.
"A bit dodgy, though, wandering around the castle looking for a cinnamon roll. It would've been easier to start in the town, don't you think, hen? Did you want to make this more difficult than it was, or did it just not occur to you?" While it could be taken as mildly insulting, the young man's face remained calm, neutral, like he hadn't meant any offense. In fact, he seemed to have his mind on other things while he was making idle conversation about pastries, his hands tapping a quick, soundless tune on his leg, next to the sword on his hip.
The large white cat made her way back to her master's side, done rubbing up against the King girl, and hopping up to settle on Corvin's shoulder, still not taking her eyes off of Scylla.

Scylla KingDaughter of Ursula and the Horned King
At first, he only recieved a hum in response. That, and Richard stepping casually in between her and Corvin. Not in a threatening manner really, just to not have Corvin too close as they walked. The cat though, special or not, could likely be dealt with a little easier. "If she would like one, I'm sure either of you can go and get one yourselves." Not that she assumed otherwise. "With six legs between the two of you, I'm sure something can be done about it." She ran a hand over Tox's skull again, the opossum skeleton making a chattering sound. And then Corvin continued speaking. With the assumption she was doing something just for the heck of it. They weren't exactly close though, so she couldn't say much on the matter. Humming again, she shook her head. "I find that I come across things I want almost anywhere but here." She took a pause in her speech, just walking in silence for a moment.
"I had just been taking a walk." Glancing over at him, she took a moment to study him. Whether to study his looks or not, stare she did. It wasn't his face she was trying to remember. Faces could be damaged. Cut, burned, ripped away. No, it was his soul she was studying. The core of a soul never changed, and therefore was permanently unique. Never to be forgotten by her. She even took a look at the cat, looking straight back at her. Both moments of study lasted about ten seconds altogether before she looked ahead again. "And once I had become bored with the reminder of my perceived inferiority, I decided I could use a snack."
It was another moment before she spoke again. "Quite a smart and ambitious guy you are, so I assume there is at least some reason besides cinnamon rolls for talking to me." And though her words might have been taken as sarcastic, her tone was simple. She meant what she was saying. Ambition got a person noticed, and she noticed quite a lot of things. It was a pastime of hers. Especially when that ambition was aimed toward being on top. Casting him another brief glance, her dark-brown eyes focusing on him for a second quick moment before looking ahead again. Her new destination, apparently with company, was only a short walk away, and hopefully her desired pastry would be found. She seemed to go into her own thought for a moment, zoning out and leaving Corvin and his cat to themselves.
Tox paid them some mind though, "sniffing" at them and clacking his jaw. Richard even looked their way, apparently watching the pair as well before losing interest and turning his attention somewhere else. "My apologies if they bother you." Though she mainly only said it just to, well, say it. In the sense that Corvin would simply need to tolerate them until they left on their own accord or until the two parties went their separate ways. Either way, moving skeletons were not the most offputtng thing you could see these days. Not at all.
Eventually, she could see the small town in the distance. Could hear the noise of a busy place even from where they were. Perhaps it would've been ideal to send her familiars away, but no. She couldn't care less what people thought of them, actually. They were favored more than actual people to her, she wasn't going to send them away just because a few living creatures got scared. And since she didn't really care for much of the living, the closest to such being paying attention to someone saying something important, she usually ended up doing most things alone. Be it an order from Gothel, or to find a cinnamon roll.
Not today though, it seemed. It was a little odd for Corvin to show up. Perhaps he had simply been bored enough to see what she was up to, because as stated before they weren't enemies or friends due to barely ever interacting. That was why Scylla had even let him stick around. It would be illogical to pass judgement on a person who had done absolutely nothing to you, good or bad.
