You awaken. Darkness swallows you, and you are surrounded entirely in shadow. Are you alone? You blink, and the piercing yellow eyes staring down at you tell you that you are not. A warrior emerges from the darkness, his stormy grey pelt speckled with stars, and he brings with him a torrent of light into the shadows. "Rise," he commands. "I am Stormstar, the first of many leaders of StormClan, and I bring with me a proposition."

StormClan resides by the foot of a mountain, in the heart of a deep forest. The camp itself is located in a glade surrounded by tall trees -some of which separate it from the mountain itself - and is guarded by walls of thorn and bramble packed thick to keep out unwanted guests. A river of considerable size runs through the territory not far from the camp and is fed by a mountain waterfall in the far west of the hunting grounds. Beyond the forest is a small twolegplace where kittypets and rogues alike make their home, but StormClan rarely has trouble with the twolegs who live there, as they live so far into the forest. Common birds make their home in the woodlands of StormClan's territory, alongside small mammals such as mice and voles; rabbits are rare, but not impossible to find. With such little twoleg activity in their territory, the most prominent danger to StormClan are the mountain predators: eagles and other birds of prey, as well as foxes, badgers, and even sometimes cougars.
StormClan warriors are renowned for their strength and their prowess on the battlefield.
✧ REGULATIONS ✧ ✧ This is a semi-literate Clan. Please try to avoid one-liners and make your posts as descriptive as possible so that other roleplayers have something to go off, and that your own posts aren't too vague for anybody to respond properly to.
✧ Drama is perfectly fine as long as it does not interrupt, disturb or belittle any major plots. If you'd like to start any drama, please DM owlspots and we can discuss it!
✧ Be kind, courteous and polite with other roleplayers. Basic respect is a fundamental stone for any roleplay community and I will not tolerate anybody who does not abide by this rule. There are also minors on this site, so avoid profanity and do not write any mating/kitting scenes.
✧ I'd like StormClan to be as active as possible, so please try to be online at least a few times a week to respond. This helps prevent anybody getting lost in the plot and being in need of large recaps. If any one of your cats is in a (semi-)high position, please try to be very active. Any inactive cats will be removed from the allegiances after two weeks unless I am notified beforehand that you are going to be inactive for a long period of time.
✧ Nobody likes Mary Sues. Your characters must have at least one major flaw that prevents them from being perfect cats that are incredible at everything and adored by absolutely everybody. If you're struggling to think of any flaws to give your characters, just take one of their virtues/good points and turn it around! For example, if your character is bold and adventurous, they might also be too reckless, or if they are very smart they might also be pretentious and have a know-it-all complex.

✧ MAJOR PLOTS ✧ Whispers of Disloyalty
The death of Flightstar left a gaping hole in the order of Clan life, and Sunstar is struggling to hold himself together for the sake of his Clanmates. He has grown agitated and spends days at a time in his den, which is beginning to alarm some of his Clanmates. Can they rely on their new leader at all? Is he even up to the job that StarClan have given him? A few of the warriors are starting to think that Flightstar's choice of successor was not a good one, and that Sunstar is unfit to lead. After a particularly unpopular and reckless decision that almost costs some cats their lives, Sunstar's critics grow bolder still.
Threats from the Mountains
With the change of the seasons, the activity of predators on the mountain has increased: visits to the Stormfalls have become very few and far between as it is simply too dangerous to ascend the mountain. However, a few patrols have noticed strange activity in the forest surrounding StormClan's camp, and eagles have begun to venture down from the highest peaks above the Starlake to StormClan's woods. The eagles are only the beginning of a much larger, much more terrifying ordeal that the cats of StormClan will undoubtedly have to undertake. Sunstar has decided to lead a patrol in pursuit of a strange scent, but there's a very real possibility that not all of the cats who leave will return.
✧ MINOR PLOTS ✧ Bee and Hornet have been invited to the Clan after Sunstar denied them passage to the mountain because of the growing danger there. At the moment, this is only temporary at the moment, but while the majority of StormClan welcomes the newcomers, there are some within the Clan's ranks who remain distrustful. Will Hornet and Bee find a place within the Clan, and choose to stay even after the threat of dangerous predators is dealt with? They have been given mentors and will train as apprentices, but it is unsure whether Clan life is for them.

✧ GENERAL ✧ StormClan warriors are, as a general rule, strongly-built with powerful bodies built for fighting. Seasons ago they would commonly be grey or brown of fur which enabled them to blend in and hide from mountain predators, but as their ancestors would often invite outsiders into the Clan, they are now a much more diverse and colourful Clan. StormClan cats tend to be good at swimming, climbing and on-ground combat.
StormClan are a very religious Clan and place heavy emphasis on belief in StarClan: all warrior ceremonies take place at the top of the Stormfalls where the sky is in open view so new warriors can pledge their loyalty to both the Clan and their warrior ancestors. Medicine cats visit the Starlake every moon in order to converse with StarClan, as this is the Clan's most sacred and holy ground; leaders also have their nine lives ceremonies here. StormClan would never turn away or expel a cat who did not believe in StarClan or were struggling to find their faith in their starry ancestors, but a lack of belief might be met with dislike or distrust from members of the Clan if this belief was voiced often.
They do not have many rituals other than those that are standard: newly named warrior vigil, etc. Newly named warriors must stay overnight at the Stormfalls to be closer to their ancestors and perhaps share dreams with them after their ceremonies while their Clanmates who accompanied them return to camp. There is a small celebration for the birth of new kits in which the mother is congratulated and her kits are presented to the Clan whenever the mother is ready; when the kits are 3 moons old they are taken by their mother, father and at least one of the medicine cats to the top of the Stormfalls where they can be presented formally to StarClan. Similarly, there is a celebration for the retirement of a senior warrior where the newly made elder again travels to the Stormfalls to be blessed with a peaceful retirement and many seasons of rest.

✧ TERRITORY ✧ STORMFALLS The Stormfalls is waterfall that feeds the river flowing through StormClan's hunting grounds. The top of the Stormfalls can be accessed easily from the StormClan camp via the thin stretch of woods that separates the camp from the foot of the mountain. Behind the trees there is a stack of boulders from a rock-slide that took place many seasons ago, before StormClan existed, that leads up to a narrow ascending slope called the Stormpath. Following this slope one would emerge by the top of the waterfall, and due to the significance of this place, there is a small 'camp' tucked into one of the mountain faces. This camp is where all visitors to the Stormfalls stay overnight with the exception of newly named warriors, who must remain by the cliff overlooking the territory. From the top of the waterfall, one can see the stars better than anywhere else in the territory.
STARLAKE Leaders and medicine cats make the longer journey to the Starlake, which is the source of the Stormfalls. The lake resides further up in the mountain than the waterfall and it is situated in such a perfect location that on a cloudless night it seems that the whole of Silverpelt is reflected in its surface. It is here that the medicine cats converse with StarClan, and the leaders come to receive their nine lives. The elders of every generation have told tales of how the warriors of StarClan can be seen individually in the surface of the lake during the full moon.
EAGLE'S OUTLOOK A large rock in the western part of the territory that was said to have been the home of the most fearsome eagle the Clan had ever seen. Wildstar, the third leader of StormClan, took a patrol of warriors to the rock and drove the eagle out. Now, it is a spot frequented by the dawn and dusk patrols who survey the territory from up on top of the outlook before continuing on their way.
THE RIVER The river has no special name, it's always just been the River. It is the Clan's source of fish and water, but as it is not protected from the greenleaf sun by the trees that stop a fair bit away from the shore, it is not uncommon for the bed to dry out in some areas. In leafbare, the river often freezes over in its shallow stretches which makes fishing much more difficult.
TRAINING CLEARING The training clearing is located deep in the forest, not far from the camp. It is a small glade surrounded mostly by bushes and boulders with a decent space in the center for combat training. Here, apprentices learn how to fight on ground and how to use the rocks as vantage points in a fight.
CAMP The StormClan camp is located in a glade close to the foot of the mountain. The glade is surrounded by trees on all sides, but there is a small stretch of open ground on a slight descent before you reach the walls of the camp. The walls are constructed of thick bramble bushes and reinforced with rows of thorns to deter intruders. Close to the middle of the camp is a pile of stone debris from the mountain; from here the leader addresses the Clan. The dens were all constructed by paw: the warriors' and apprentices' dens are made of brambles with moss insulation, but the nursery and elders' den are constructed of softer ferns and bracken. The medicine den is located underneath an old tree stump surrounded by foliage, and the leader sleeps in a hollow beneath the gathering rock, fortified by brambles. The fresh-kill pile is in the center of the camp - to reduce the risk of scavengers from the sky, the StormClan cats dug out a small shallow pit to store prey. |

[Thistleshade] - [She-Cat] - [32 Moons] - [Deputy] - [Bisexual]
[Thistleshade is, at first glance, a rather average she-cat. A dark grey-blue with faint tabby markings, she has no outstanding markings to draw the gaze of others and her own eyes are a calm grey-green. She's noticeably smaller than most full-grown she-cats, with large paws that didn't seem to know she had stopped growing. However, Thistleshade is a small bundle of tightly wound muscle with wickedly sharp claws. The movement of her well-developed muscles is easily seen under her short, thick coat - A warning sign that while Thistleshade may be small, she is every inch a fully trained Warrior with a lifetime of experience and be it on your own head to underestimate her in a fight.
Thistleshade shows little emotion in her daily life. Her face is usually set in a calm, collect expression that rarely shifts or changes beyond the odd small smile or frown. Underneath that facade is a fiercely passionate cat who, while hard to rile up, can hold a grudge for far longer than you'd expect. Her anger burns cold and she can be very imaginative in her revenge. Thistleshade is confident in her abilities, but not arrogant. She is analytical in battle, never rushing in and thinking through every outcome before she makes a decision. On the other paw, this means she can have trouble reacting to spontaneous situations and can struggle to cope when her plans fall through. Thistleshade is incredibly protective of Silverstrike and adores her brother, however hard it is for her to show it.]
[(Open to extended family.) Thistleshade was born to a Rogue Queen called Luna and a StormClan Warrior called Finchcall along with her brother, Silverstrike. The pair were great friends, though held no romantic feelings for each other. When Luna decided she wanted kits, but had no desire to take a proper mate, she went to Finchcall who agreed to father them for her. His only request was that he be allowed to be in their lives, which Luna had no problem with. However tragedy struck and Luna died giving birth to the young pair of kits. Distraught, Finchcall buried his friend and took the kits back to StormClan where they were fed by a nursing Queen, but spent their days by their father's side as he moved into the nursery to take care of them until they became Apprentices.]

[Silverstrike is a tall, long-legged, handsome tom with bright green eyes and an easy grin. His short, sleek fur is mostly a beautiful shade of silver, interspersed with dark smoky grey tabby markings. His muzzle, neck and stomach are a brilliant white in colour, along with the toes on his front paws and the socks that adorned his back paws. For all he looks pretty bulky, Silverstrike is actually quite a bit lighter than even his much shorter sister. He relies mostly on speed and agility in a fight, because he doesn't really have the weight behind him to overpower his opponents.
Silverstrike loves to flirt, though he rarely means anything by it. He's a sweet tom, with a deep desire to have a mate and kits of his own - biological or otherwise. He has a bad tendency of wearing his heart on his sleeve, and can't really seem to hide what he's feeling. Silverstrike tries to act tough and brash, but he's a sensitive soul who's open heart leaves him vulnerable to being emotionally hurt. Bright and friendly when flirting or messing around with friends, Silverstrike gets shy and quiet around those he truly has feelings for. Silverstrike isn't much of a planner, being a little air-headed, but he's loyal and capable in a fight. He takes orders well and is an excellent Warrior, but he isn't much of a leader.]

[Badgertuft is a massive, heavy-set tom who is practically bulging with muscles. His long, thick fur is mostly black in colour, though also contains a large amount of white around his muzzle, neck, belly, front legs and back paws. He's very much a powerhouse in a fight, often enduring hits that a smaller or lighter Warrior would avoid or be downed by. Because of this, he's quite heavily scarred, though it's difficult to see the extent of it under his fur. His yellow eyes are often bright with laughter and good humour.
Badgertuft is a jovial tom who, while intimidating in size, is quite soft in nature for the most part. He's always ready to dispense advice when needed, or lend a helping paw. He can be very wary when it comes to newcomers and outsiders, but warms up quickly enough as soon as they prove they aren't a danger. Badgertuft's biggest vice is really his temper. He's a bit too hot-headed for anything diplomatic and is easily riled up, especially when it comes to his family and friends.]
[Badgertuft was born and raised in StormClan. He's had a pretty normal life for a StormClan Warrior and very much prefers it that way. TBA]

[Applepaw is a sweet-faced little cherub of an Apprentice. Having only just begun her training, she's still quite small, but judging by her parents will grow into a lithe, muscular she-cat. Her fur is quite short and not as thick as many of her Clanmates, so she can get quite cold during the winter months. Applepaw is a light red tabby heavily marking with white on her lower half. Her eyes are a bright, vivid amber and seem to almost glow in the dark. She rarely smiles, but also rarely frowns, always seemingly just content with her life.
Applepaw, while genuinely happy with her life in StormClan, is a shy little thing who doesn't really like to show too much emotion in case it draws any sort of attention to her. She prefers to stay quietly in the shadows and do her duties. Her favourite activity is listening to the Elders tell storied of what StormClan was like when they were young. She has a little bit of a kit-crush on Willownose and is doubly shy around the Warrior. Applepaw gets along well with others when she needs to interact with them, she's just never really the one to start the interactions.]
[(Applepaw is Open for siblings.) Applepaw was born to a kittypet who was given shelter the Clan while she was pregnant with Applepaw. Honey adored her kit(s) and came to love the Clan and accepted a Warrior name - Honeyblossom. For Applepaw, all she's known is the Clan and would not have her life any other way. She's grown fiercely loyal to StormClan and is looking forward to being a Warrior.]

Quailfang - Tom - 63 moons - Senior Warrior - Aro/ace Quailfang is a dark brown mackerel tabby tom with a white tail-tip and yellow-green eyes. He is long-bodied and short-furred, with overlong fangs that are just visible when his mouth is closed. His face is often solemn, and his eyes carry a deceptive dullness within them. Quailfang was born to Snakefoot and Hawkfeather of StormClan, alongside his siblings Windkit and Tigerkit. The three were made apprentices at six moons, as was custom; Quailpaw was apprenticed to the inexperienced Mudfoot and he struggled with his trials, however, with the aid of his siblings, Quailpaw was able to earn his warrior name. As a warrior, Quailfang remained an average hunter, but his tenacity and sharp mind made him a formidable foe on the battlefield. His brother Tigerfur was killed by a badger nearly ten moons ago, and now resides with StarClan; his mentor Mudfoot was killed in a confrontation with a passing rogue. His sister Windstep, however, lives on with the clan, serving as a senior warrior alongside him. Quailfoot has never had much interest in romantic entanglements. He watches the love lives of those around him with a kind of encouraging befuddlement - "good for you, make yourselves happy, but I have no idea what's happening."

Redwing - She-cat - 23 moons - Queen - Bisexual
Redwing is a tall she-cat with thick, fluffy tortoiseshell fur, even by StormClan standards. She has white paws, a white muzzle, neck, and front legs. Her eyes are a warm, unassuming green. Redwing is a warm, nurturing cat who is always willing to help and has long nurtured a soft spot for kits, as well as being a hopeless romantic. So when the handsome Cedarheart began showing interest, she was delighted. Their courtship was a whirlwind, and within a matter of moons Redwing was expecting Cedarheart's kits. Then, everything went wrong - Cedarheart was discovered to be stealing prey for a band of rogues that were migrating through StormClan territory and he was exiled after attacking a clanmate in defense of the rogues. Redwing's kits were born the same night the rogues left for friendlier forests, with Cedarheart among their number. Redwing dotes on her kits nonetheless - a litter of three, two she-cats and a tom. The first was Stormkit, a fluffy blue-gray she-kit with the same white markings as her mother; then Spottedkit, a dilute tortoiseshell she-kit with a single white paw; and finally Scorchkit, a ginger tabby tom with a white tail.

She has very dark gray fur that almost appears black and dark brown eyes. Swiftshadow is a She-Cat of few words. The only person she really talks to is her former mentor. She tends to focus more on hunting for the clan and excels at it hence her name.] [Swiftshadow is very close with her old mentor(open to anyone to claim) and has yet to fully open up to the rest of the clan.]

There is also a white splotch on the center of her spine. Her nose is startlingly pink, and her eyes are clear amber. Brackenberry is slender in form with delicate bones and graceful movements. Her mew is sweet and clear. ![]() ![Brackenberry]() Brackenberry is a very sweet, open, understanding cat who tries her best to feel what her patients are going through, and is a favorite of StormClan's kits. She has a very close connection with StarClan. However, Brackenberry can sometimes be too trusting, and willing to go against Sunstar's orders to help a cat in need, even if they happen to be the enemy. This can be quite problematic, and some cats have even gone so far as to doubt her loyalty to StormClan. Brackenberry still holds her Clan closest to her heart, and that will never change.] ![]() [Brackenberry's mother Heatherwind and her littermates Featherkit (female) and Bramblekit (male) died when she was three moons old of greencough. She was fostered by another queen (OPEN, PM ME) whom she maintains a close relationship with. Brackenberry felt motivated to become a medicine cat and help save others' lives from then on, but her father, Darkwhisker, was unsupportive. He wanted his daughter to become a warrior, and viewed medicine cats with slight disdain. Brackenberry adhered to his wishes and became apprenticed as a warrior (EX-MENTOR SLOT OPEN, PM ME), though she hated every heartbeat of it. When Darkwhisker was killed in a fox attack, she requested to become a medicine cat apprentice and made the switch. SInce then she has dutifully served her Clan

Sweet! Here's the form! [Oakpaw] - [Tom] - [6 Moons] - [Apprentice] - [Heterosexual] [Oakpaw is about average size for a Tom of his age though he has a bit more muscle to him too. He has long dark brown fur with a mackerel tabby pattern. His fur is thicker and longer thsn his sister's especially around his neck and chest. His eyes are hazel. His body language is very expressive and can easily be read. Unlike his sister Oakpaw is much more relaxed when it comes interacting with others - too much infact. He's not always the most respectful and will openly voice his opinions even if they're controversial. He can also be rather impatient and stubborn. Two traits that will no doubt impede his warrior training. At the end of the day Oakpaw is extremely loyal to his clan and fiercely protective of all those in it. Especially his sister.] [Oakpaw is the littermate of Applepaw and the son of Honeyblossom and is very protective of his sister.
