This was brought up in the fanart pet peeves thread but it truly is bizarre how much damage claws and bites seem to do in the series. One shot kills via claw and tooth are not uncommon and blood does go flying from simple attacks like bites and slashes. Anyone who's ever seen a real cat fight would know that even when really huge cats are involved, doing damage like that is difficult.
These tigers are absolutely going at it, and that's with teeth and claws far larger and stronger than a domestic cat of similar size(being big cats means they're more robust). Despite one of them locking in a big bite and the other raking the other's face a lot, both come out without bleeding very much. Even in fights where big cats do kill each other, it takes quite a while and is usually decided by a choke hold rather than just making them gush blood.

Well I guess they hang on to arteries and stuff in the books. But yeah I don’t know, the Erin’s probably used it for drama, more stuff. I mean if all the cat were Sphinx cats then yes they’d get injured easily lol.

I have no problem with it personally, just that it's a bit omnipresent. That being said, it'd be nice to see someone die by being strangled or bitten on the nape instead of lightsaber claws a little more. There's something rather frightening about it anyway

Yeah, cat fights are really over exaggerated in this series but I don't really mind. If every fight was written realisticly, it would be quite boring. Most cat fights are just stare downs for a couple of minutes until someone gives in and either attacks or tries to run off, followed by a couple seconds of tusseling while screeching and then someone runs away. In all of the cat fights I've seen, only one produced injuries and even then it was minor. No one would ever die from a fight in Warriors if the fights were real.

To be fair that's because those cats are less motivated. Most animal fights end up like that because no one wants to risk death like that. It doesn't apply so much to Warriors due to the willingness to fight to the death in certain charas, so them dying makes sense. Just not the method.

Bite wounds just don't have that overly dramatic anime pazzazz that Warriors requires
