A lot of people don't like Sandstorm for bullying Fireheart or acting jealous towards Spottedleaf, which I understand, but I feel some fans are a bit harsh on her for not forgiving her for this. Like, I understand if she never stopped bullying, but she did and began to respect Fireheart after he saved her life. What do you think?

Yeah, Sandstorm was only a bully as a very young cat with a close friend who egged her on (I love Dustpelt, but they were both so rude lmao). Once she was forced to come face-to-face with the fact that her object of ridicule was an actual person through realizing that she almost died and he was the one who saved her, she adjusted her behavior and matured really quickly. And her jealousy of Spottedleaf isn't undeserved considering Firestar was still in love with her, and she visited his dreams so often. Plus, she didn't even go that overboard about it, if I'm remembering correctly. Like, she tells him that she doesn't want to his second choice, which is entirely fair. She becomes a very strong, level-headed, and mature cat. She's a fantastic character imo.

She matured a lot. I don't understand why anyone would still hate her.

She's matured a whole lot as a character and has had one of the better developments for a first arc character even. I don't get nor will I ever get why people still hate her for being rude to the protag for a single book compared to the whole rest of the arc when she showed a much less rude side. It's not like she was an ass towards Firestar the whole time, she changed her behavior after she saw he wasn't just some weak kittypet and grew to respect him after F&I. Heck, she goes into detail about it in her short story ""A Change of Heart: Sandstorm Speaks" so I really don't understand the logic/reason to keep hating her personally. :/

Oh, come on. She was an apprentice. An apprentice is not a fully mature adult. Of course she's going to change and mature with time. Hating a grown cat for how they acted when they were young is rarely warranted.

I don't know how anyone could argue she hasn't matured? I also don't know why people still old her apprentice self against her?

I don't care for the pairing, like Blossomfall and Ivypool, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I never cared for it since. I acknowledge that Sandstorm has matured as a character, but how she was written into Firestar's love interest was just not very appealing for me at all. I personally prefer Firestar with someone like Cinderpelt. Imo the two of them had a much better bond and friendship.
