Like I said, it's your tone that makes it seem like you're annoyed with ppl. If it's just a misunderstanding then it's okay, but try to be careful with your words because I understand why Rainleaf was upset with your comment. I don't like feeling like I have to hold my tongue just for folks to not misinterpret my tone wrong in text so I might fail on that note. >.> Are you even understanding what I'm trying to tell you? I'm not telling you to hold your tongue; I'm telling you to try to be careful with your words because you may unintentionally upset people.

You're trying to talk to me about tone and wording and yet you're seeming as if you're getting upset at me.

Fine, jeebus. You're trying to talk to me about tone and wording and yet you're seeming as if you're getting upset at me. I'm not. I've been trying to tell you to just be careful with your words so people won't get mad at you. You weren't understanding me. But I'll just pass on this and move on. Do not hint out at me being a hypocrite when I was simply trying to warn you.

I mean yeah. She broke the code and because of that stepped down as medicine cat- what more of a punishment would she receive? taking a mate from another clan isn't really something you get banished for (with the exception of Mapleshade who most feel was unfairly treated on that aspect and her banishment had more to do with her lie about the father being the dead son of the leader so it was retaliation rather than a fair punishment). In all honesty she's been suffering the entirety of her life, not being able to actually be the mother to her kits when they were young and then having them reject her when they're adults. Then not being able to do the one thing she loved, the only thing she had left was hard too.
I always say learn to let go. Lionblaze, Jayfeather and Hollyleaf forgave so they could move on. She's been working twice as hard to be the best medicine cat she can and after all, she did give birth to 2/3 of the 3 so that probably counts for something.

Brindlefern & @dawnstream — Work on your netiquette. This entire ordeal was avoidable.

Me personally? I think she should just be left alone now. Leafpool's done her time. Can't honestly remember if Hollyleaf forgave her mother, but I think Lionblaze has, even if Jayfeather hasn't. Fans should stop hanging onto the past.

Fans should stop hanging onto the past. Hollyleaf started forgiving Leafpool in Hollyleaf's Story and finally made her peace with her while she was dying in The Last Hope. Lionblaze and Jayfeather have as well, though if TRS is anything to go by, there are still some feelings of bitterness. Or, like everything else in that book, it's just another inconsistency.

Even though she deserved to be punished why did Yellowfang and Bluestar agree she couldn't keep her duties. I know that Bluestar wasn't a medicine cat so it isn't as bad but come on yellowfang. And she was punished enough so I forgive her.

oh absolutely! starclan is a big hypocrite mind you, they will lie and manipulate for 'the greater good' ugh. leafpool made a BUNCH of mistakes and she accepted it, she accepted the fact that she may be hated by her own children, her clan, her sister, forever. she didn't even get mad because she KNEW what she did was wrong but at the same time, did she have to come back? no. she could've turned a blind eye and joined crowfeather when he told her to stop caring about thunderclan, she didn't. she came back to her clan knowing how bad things might go and not caring. when the truth came out (and no leafpool did not convince squirrelflight nor tell her to not to brambleclaw, both sisters are not to blame here) she defended her sister, because she knew it was HER FAULT. leafpool accepting the blame and knowing what she did is a major improvement to a lot of cats in Warriors. so i believe she deserved the forgiveness, she tried to make her amends and do the best thing that she could for her clan.
(but i like despise crowfeather so,,,)

My take on this is that she's one of the most skilled medicine cats in Thunderclan. Why punish her and make her suffer when it decreases the effectiveness of your clan to deal with injuries or sickness.

How can anyone compare Leafpool's actions to Graystripe, Bluestar, Dovewing and even Yellowfang's? The thing that takes the cake for Leafpool's idiocy is the fact she, a medicine cat, left her Clan who had just barely recovered from a battle with WindClan, and were barely adjusted to their new territory? It would make sense if Cinderpelt didn't warn her, but no, I can't even defend her on that.
She knew that in a new land with danger around every corner, the shock of battle and the exhaustion from the travel that she should have at least waited. It would even make more sense if she was already pregnant, but once again, no.
After that, she practically drags her sister down into her dump, and ruins Squirrelflight's reputation as well her already-up-in-flames relationship with Brambleclaw. If I recall correctly, I can't remember any part-- no-- any sentence in any book where she tried to redeem herself as a warrior or an overall person. All I know is that she was bad at it and she moped for rest of her existence. She should have suffered more than a temporary rank ban considering she put the Clan in danger for some 5-minute love affair.

Spottedleaf pretty much gives Leafpool the go ahead to go with Crowfeather, probably cause the three need to be born and then they're like 'Man. Leafpool. You screwed up.'
