Smokepaw - WHG
Feeling her fur burn with pride and embarrassment at all the praise she received, Smokepaw puffed out her chest and gave it a couple licks, "Well... I still consider it a team effort but thanks!" Her face emitted joy, and the she-cat was ready to do it all over again! However, hearing her sister inquire about Owlpaw, she turned to sniff at her friend's paw inquisitively, "Yeah.. that looks like it hurts! Do you wanna head back?" She knew that the little tabby was tough and eager to be out of the camp as well, but Smokepaw also didn't want her to push herself to hard. She felt a little embarrassed that she hadn't noticed earlier, herself.

OWLPAW || WESTERN HUNTING GROUNDS Owlpaw glanced at Juniperpaw then down at her sore paw, trying to flex her claws but wincing when the action caused her pain. "Uh, I'm not sure. I think it'll be okay for a while, I'll go to the medicine den when we get back to camp!" She chirped happily, swishing her tail. It hurt a lot, especially when she tried to put weight on it, but she didn't want to be the reason they all had to go home early, and she also didn't want to ruin the good mood that catching the squirrel had brought the group.
FEATHERPAW || WESTERN HUNTING GROUNDS The tall tom purred, returning Snowpaw's nudge with a flick of his tail over the younger apprentice's ear. He followed Snowpaw back to the group, having to lope along after the fluffy tom as he bounced away. When they both reached the group again, Featherpaw parted his jaws to taste the air, and to no surprise he couldn't smell any more prey anywhere nearby. "I think it's safe to say we scared everything else in the forest away trying to catch that squirrel," he quietly mrrowed in amusement, "but the prey won't have gone far." He looked at Smokepaw, waiting for the young she-cat's next 'command' with a soft contented smile on his face.

Nightwhisker - Camp - MadFaith The burly dark tom was up and going already, itching for a patrol to join or a cat to talk to. His eyes suddenly widened as he spotted Robinflight, a familiar figure looking a bit dazed but nonetheless friendly. His fellow warrior didnโt seem to notice him and paid more attention to observing the daily buzz of the clan. Shaking out this thick brown-black fur, he padded up to Robinflight slowly.
โItโs a fine day out, besides all that hubbub about Leafstar and those cats that donโt know their places. Hmmphโ, Nightwhisker commented as he sat down beside the russet-furred she-cat who didnโt seem fully awake yet.
โI personally donโt understand what theyโre trying to get at,โ he added, โclan life for those privileged youngsters had been easy enough. Theyโve never been in the thick of battle and theyโve never even been living long enough to start a rebellion.โ
With a disapproving shake of his powerful head, Nightwhiskerโs eyes gleamed with fierce loyalty to his clan. He knew that his side would prevail, and if it came to a conflict, he knew which side that he would be on for sure.

AshstormAshstorm hummed a little tune to herself as she padded alongside her much taller den-mate, head angled upwards and bobbing from side to side like she was a chipper apprentice all over again. She enjoyed the silence for a little while- when you go to her age, you began to appreciate things like that- and took in the sights, sounds and smells around her. Birds flitted overhead, chirping a melodic song as they whisked around the territory effortlessly and the wind blew easily through the forest. Ashstorm could hear the faint scurrying of prey, an occasional squeak of alarm from a piece of prey she had long forgotten the sound of. Ashstorm gazed up at the sky slightly, careful to watch her step and to make sure there were no trees or brambles in the way, as she spoke, "Snowpaw has been doing well in his training." She noted. SpruceleapSpruceleap perked up as Robinflight spoke to him, clearly eager to finally talk to someone, "Oh, I'm doing well," He mewed back, voice high-pitched with cheerfulness, "Just got back from a hunting patrol, but it's really lovely out today. No wonder everyone's going out." Spruceleap indicated with a flick of his tail to the now empty and dead-quiet apprentice's den, and odd sight to see. Spruceleap gave the she-cat a wide, toothed grin as he finished.

| ROBINFLIGHT | Camp - Nightwhisker Still not being fully awake, Robinflight's senses were not as sharp as they normally were, so it was a slight surprise when Nightwhisker's voice sounded beside the she-cat. Doing her best to hide her surprise, Robinflight dipped her head formally to the approaching warrior angling her ears towards him as she listened. Despite the serious topic, a small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, enjoying the other warrior's blunt observations. "I couldn't agree more, as a younger member of the clan, compared to some, I am fully aware of my own inexperience. There is a reason StarClan placed Leafstar in the role of TreeClan's leader. She is wise and holds what is best for the clan close to her heart." Robinflight's feelings mirrored Nightwhiskers as she shook her head sharply, "They are going to have to learn that they are not suited to lead themselves, nor that they can undermine StarClan's choice."

| ROBINFLIGHT | Camp - Spruceleap Robinflight listened intently as the tom spoke, curious as to how someone could have so much energy this early in the morning. Stifling another yawn, Robinflight smiled pleasantly as the other warrior mentioned the gorgeous day, "StarClan has blessed us, I simply wish I had woken up earlier so I could have taken advantage of more of it. I'm not normally one to sleep in but I had some difficulty sleeping last night. Might have to visit the medicine den if this pattern keeps up."

Smokepaw - WHG
Smokepaw was hesitant, she didn't want to push her friend too hard, but the excitement of hunting still ran fresh in her veins. She perked up at Featherpaw's suggestion, of moving forward, and decided to take Deputy's role again. She held herself high, grinning at Owlpaw, "Very well! I trust you know your limits." She said, feeling very mature, "But there's no shame in needing to rest." She softly touched the tiny she-cat with her tail before turning to the rest of the group, "Alright! Featherpaw's right, we should head a little farther north for prey. I'll bury the squirrel here so be sure to remember where it is!" After doing so, Smokepaw began to head off, her jaws and nose scanning the area for prey.

Owlpaw beamed happily, hopping along on three paws after Smokepaw as she tried to ignore the incessant throbbing in her foot. For now she wasn't having much trouble keeping up as the group was moving rather slowly, and Owlpaw was used to rushing around anyway, so even though hobbling at a steady pace felt a little strange to her, she still remained as bright and enthusiastic as ever. "Y'know, we should try hunting birds! Birds are fun to catch! I caught a sparrow once, it was really fast, but that's what made it fun!" She chirped, waving her tail.

Laurelwing listened to Ashstorm's humming as they walked, and remembered when he could hear it much better as a warrior. He could also remember how distraught he was when he found out his hearing was quickly deteriorating, and he'd have to join the elders soon. Fortunately, he stuck out as long as possible. Laurelwing was pulled out of his thoughts by Ashstorm again, and he flicked his ear toward her. "That's good. As is Whitepaw," he said, letting his gaze wander around the forest again. "I know they haven't been apprentices for too long, but they'll make great warriors from what we've already seen."

Juniperpaw looked at Owlpaw warily before following the group northward. She decided to stay beside the other apprentice, in case anything may happen to her. It could very well just be a strain, but that didn't mean it made hunting or walking any easier, and she didn't want Owlpaw to hurt herself further. As they walked, her ears swiveled around for the sounds of nearby birdcall. "I haven't caught a bird yet," she admitted sheepishly. "But trying to hunt them is kinda fun."

Owlpaw beamed brightly. "It's so much fun! Swansong says birds are some of the trickiest prey to catch, like fish, because you have to be really patient with them!" She informed the group, her fluffy tail swishing from side to side as she hopped along. She paused for a moment and glanced down at her paw, trying to flex her claws; it worked, but it made the dull ache a lot worse. She winced, but bravely tried to set her paw down on the ground and put some weight on it. With a small gasp she yanked it straight back up into the air before trying to steel herself. I'll walk it off, it's okay, it's fine, she told herself through the pain as she pressed a small amount of weight onto her foot. She managed to take a few very sore steps, heavily favouring her leg, but at least she wasn't hobbling along on three paws anymore.

Smokepaw - WHG
Smokepaw purred in excitement as her sister opened up a little to Owlpaw. The idea of catching a bird seemed like fun! She quickly fell back a little to match pace with the other two she-cat apprentices and twitched her ears, "Ooh! I bet it'd be exciting to try and catch one! Let's keep our eyes and ears open for one!" the little she-cat mewed, sticking her tail straight up to guide the rest of the 'patrol'. With her ears pricked, Smokepaw heard more rustling up ahead. She nudged Owlpaw, "Try to catch that one! I think it's a mouse?"

Owlpaw wriggled her haunches, lowering herself down into a crouch. She crept forward, still favouring her paw, but was able to sneak closer without making much of a noise to alert the mouse. She spotted her prey snuffling among the leaves. Bunching her hindquarters, Owlpaw sprang. This time, she slammed her paws home and snagged her claws in the mouse's fur; the mouse squealed in fright, and Owlpaw in agony as her sprained paw hit the ground hard. She hissed and sank her teeth into the mouse, blinking back tears as her foot throbbed beneath her. The mouse fell limp and she managed to stumble to a stand with her prey clasped between her jaws. "I c-caught it!" she sniffled, her voice wobbling slightly.

~Snowpaw - Western Hunting Grounds - Smokepaw, Juniperpaw, Owlpaw, Featherpaw~
Snowpaw had been trying to ignore the worry in the back of his mind, but he couldn't help but frown as Owlpaw caught the mouse. He desperately wanted to stay, wanted to try and catch something for Laurelwing and Ashstorm, but this was starting to go too far. He sidled up to Owlpaw, pressing his side against hers to try and help steady her. "Good catch, Owlpaw," He meowed happily, before lowering his voice so only she could hear, "But now that you've caught a mouse, will you let me take you back to Camp? I'm real worried you're gonna hurt yourself badly." He didn't want his fellow Apprentice to be held back any if she did something to really hurt her paw.

Owlpaw deflated, her tail drooping. "O-Okay, Snowpaw," she agreed reluctantly, "I shouldn't have pushed it." She pushed her flank against the white tom's, letting her weight fall partially on his shoulder so she wouldn't have to put any more weight on her foot. She glanced at him, ears flat against her head in defeat. "You don't have to take me back if you want to stay out longer, I can just wait here for you guys to come back or something," she suggested hesitantly, knowing that Snowpaw would probably want to stay out and catch something for the elders, "and if anyone else comes by, I can go home with them."

Juniperpaw let out a gasp as Owlpaw squeaked, but she was too frightened to move. She only slowly padded closer as Owlpaw tried to convince the older apprentice to let her stay. โI-I can take you back,โ she said, and couldnโt help but look at her friendโs paw. She hadnโt caught anything yet, but she had a feeling she wouldnโt by the end anyway. โI donโt mind.โ

((Hey, MadFaith I responded to a Robinflight post, but it also seems you're rping with Radiolizard? Let me know if I should reply to your other post, or if I should let that rp die))
Ashstorm purred happily as she recalled a conversation she had overheard between the apprentices, about how excited they were learning moves that Ashstorm considered rather basic and simple after all her moons of warriorhood. They were thrilled about getting so much as the hunting crouch down right, but Ashstorm couldn't really blame them. She had been like that once too, and still remembered the thrill she had felt when she finally managed to impress her mentor with her moves, "Yes, Whitepaw has really impressed me so far, from what I've heard, even with that attitude he has," Ashstorm glanced around the path they were taking. When she was younger, the path hadn't been much different. It felt odd, how the forest seemed to be immortal, stuck in a permanent state, "I hope they'll both grow to be good warriors, mature ones too." (( โจ nissabug โจ))
