Now that the blurbs have been released, what are some predictions you may have for them? For ST, I'm hoping that the reason Bramblestar is acting unusual has to do with him being possessed, most likely by Ashfur.

ST- I am SO on board with Ashfur possession, if this happens then maybe by the end of this arc he’ll finally go to the Dark Forest, but I hope it’s for some other reason than being Squirrelflight’s mate. Here’s to hoping if the purge doesn’t happen in SH or LS it’ll happen here,
SH- I have no hopes for this one. I hate Squirrelflight, and seriously, ANOTHER rouge group? If I wasn’t so dedicated to this series I would just skip out on it, but I know come September I’ll be buying this.

Ashfur possession? What's the story behind that? I'm interested, though admittedly I'm kind of over StarClan being so over involved in the clans. I would like to see a return to the original spirit of warriors- less magical mumbo jumbo and more warriors fighting for what they believe in. ThunderClan is looking a little full...the writers could take an axe to their roster. lets make it bloody!

TST: Ashfur possession, for sure. Nothing else it can be.

I hope Bramblestar is either possessed or haunted by a ghost. I might be in the minority here, but I kind of like the idea of it being a brand new villain. But I'm super cool with it being Ashfur too. Or maybe even Sol? (who would have had to die off screen beforehand, of course.) I predict Shadowpaw being fundamental in uncovering whats happening there.
I see either Bramblestar or Squirrelflight dying by the end of the arc, and ThunderClan getting a new deputy. -crosses fingers-
I wonder how Bramblestar lost his first life, and if it had something to do with the harsh winter

I'm... really doubtful that Ashfur is involved at all. All we know is that a controversial character is returning, but that could be so many potential cats. and as much as I'd like a possession plotline I just can't see that happening. also I'm doubtful that its rabies as well, even though that would also be really cool.
its really hard to make predictions when we know next to nothing about this arc. in a way its good, more things are a surprise, but as far as theories go im coming up blank

I think Bramblestar dies in LS due to the harsh leaf-bare (I hope others without nine lives die too), then Ashfur's spirit hijacks his body. The book ends with him attacking or killing someone.

why would ashfur wait so long to do something as a spirit? makes no sense. leave ashfur alone. he's old news lol Bramblestar being possessed would be something new to the series and Ashfur is the only cat who has any sort of animosity towards him and his family now that Tigerstar and Hawkfrost are dead (again). Plus, it wouldn't be the first time old villains have become a major problem again (not necessarily in this series although I guess you could argue that the Dark Forest was this in a way, but I mean more in general), so Ashfur could've just been biding his time until there was a right moment to strike. Plus, there's the thing about a controversial character returning, and if TBC is just one big excuse to either finally punish Ashfur or perhaps even redeem him, then I'm all for it. One of my biggest disappointments was that Ashfur being in StarClan didn't really add anything to the story, so I'm hoping this arc will change that, especially since it seems to be so focused on the afterlife moreso than the other arcs except perhaps OotS and AVoS, and even then the former was more about defeating the Dark Forest while not much was done with the latter except for some new info regarding that wandering and tethered spirits are indeed a thing in this universe. Or maybe I'm just that petty.

I want the leaders and deputies possessed and some are driven out. Basically the clans are led by possessed cats and that’s how they are turned away from Starclan. Oh also, Evil Shadowpaw.

Now wondering who the cat on the Silent thaw cover is. Is this the mysterious Rootpaw? Or the new villain - s/he looks rather intense. Of the cats we know there aren't that many, it could be Heathertail (it would be nice to see her have a role). It also looks like Flametail (given StarClan has a big role, and he would be the obvious choice for Shadowpaw's StarClan mentor/guide. And given what he tried to do to Jayfeather in TLH and the whole thing about StarClan trying to drown Shadowkit...). Flametail would actually work well as a sort-of villain, where he is frustrated with how StarClan essentially caused his death die because of their bickering about separating the Clans, how they dragged him into it and deceived him into thinking separating the Clans was the right thing to save them. Yet when he and Jayfeather stepped up to unify the Clans it saved everyone, and inspired by that example he starts taking things into his own paws and intervening in morally suspect ways, starting with the Raging Storm incident, to make sure the Clans stay together and at peace and nothing like the whole OOTS drama ever happens again.... And he ends up roping Shadowkit into it, who he cares for but though he doesn't admit it, part of him still hasn't gotten over his deathh and wants to live vicariously through his nephew, or even to punish him. this causes a conflict in StarClan about how much to intervene that leads to the non-interventionist faction of StarClan shutting everything down altogether in the midst of said cold winter, cats die and Flametail or one of his allies decides to possess Bramblestar believing that's the only way to save them from StarClan's deadly embargo... and then maybe Ashfur would come in there, because he's the one who possesses Bramblestar. But it turns out that unlike Flametail, he never had good intentions - and now Ashfur is StarClan's only representative in the Clans, with a chance to either redeem himself as the only one who can save them or doom everyone...
Ok, this is a tangent but it could make an interesting plot.
Ok, that was a bit of a tangent but I think
And the unrest in SkyClan and ShadowClan thing might make me think of Molepelt what with his cursing Brokenstar thing, or ghost Darktail or something.
