Hi there! My name is Maplee, and I am not entirely new to the forums! I used to use this forum before I got locked out of my other account!
I also have Warriors Amino as well, so let me know if you would like my username there!
I love to do art and I consider myself an artist, and I am currently trying to develop my writing skill! uwu

So, what you you usually draw and write about? I'm curious. Usually just cats and humans, but I have been experimenting with drawing dogs and might write about them in the future!  Most of the writing I try to do is unfinished and mostly consists of fanfiction, although I have written some (pretty bad) original stories that have been lost with my old google account :') |

Almost exclusively lineless. No matter how I upgrade the easy for which I can draw lines I never seem to do it very much. I have to wonder whether it'll change if I get a tablet.
Do you draw fan art or personal art?

That's pretty cool! I think it's pretty impressive when people draw only in lineless, but them again, they're probably pretty used to it, just like someone who draws using only lines.
I do both! Most things I draw are just doodles with no plan or purpose, but when I do plan on drawing scenes they are usually fanart, and I really like interpreting what the characters from the books look like when I imagined them while reading. I do draw a lot of personal art, but it's pretty much all cats with some humans sprinkled into the mix so I guess it would be kind of hard to tell them apart. What about you?

Exactly.  I also mostly do traditional. Pencil is my favorite medium and then watercolor. Do you work in traditional at all? I almost predominantly do fan art. I seem to motivate myself more to do that. But sometimes the art I do is fan art for RPs, which include my own characters or a scene. For example, I drew an empty room looking out at a new york skyline. This is still a scene from an RP, but it doesn't have to be used as one. I enjoy drawing things which others will enjoy, so with fan art I know at least a handful of people who will like it. My personal work will be hit and miss. But I do have a far bit for personal as well. I also tend to get the reject art in my art class. So someone ruins a piece, I take that piece and redo it into something else. |

Yeah I do traditional! Most are super messy sketches that I'll take and make into something digital later if I see anything I can do with it. Most of the time I sketch traditionally even if I'm planning to make a digital piece, but sometimes I'll sketch on Ibispaint. I find sketching traditionally much easier. And that's super cool! I've never thought of taking someone else's ruined artwork and creating something new with it, that seems like a really cool idea. Have you made anything you think is specifically cool with any of the artwork you've saved? |

I don't often make my traditional drawings digital. They're usually two mediums which I keep separate often. I actually didn't think much about transferring them to digital ... I think the last time I did one of those was in November. I usually can make intelligible sketches traditionally, but I tend to sketch digitally more. Which just look like scribbles to anyone but me. Actually, speaking of squiggles, have you ever tried randomly squiggling on a piece of paper and seeing what you could make out of it. Huuum. I'll go fetch one. I actually only recently thought of doing before and after pictures, so sadly I don't have nothing to show for what this looked like before. My phone camera wasn't so good. It started out as a lion and even then it was ... nothing like this. I usually try and keep as true to the original that they gave me (and then turn around and make something complete) but they requested changing it to this, so it shifted much of the original concept. |

And yeah, I do that sometimes! A lot of the time when I can't figure out what to draw I'll start drawing circles and they'll turn into something. I'm starting to break away from my 'i can't draw anything except cats' mindset so I've started drawing a few humans and dragons, and usually those start as squiggles. All though there are times when the squiggles stay just as squiggles and look like nothing :')

XD I only broke out of the 'I can only draw cats' mindset by starting to RP in things other than Fan Clans. Because fan art is my motivation I had to start having human characters which I was motivated to draw. I don't draw dragons too much, though I have done a could FR or DragCave dragons - either my own or other peoples. Do you have any OCs or characters you particularly like to draw? |

My friend dragged me into the Supernatural fandom so I do try to draw art for that sometimes, although for SPN my thing is mostly creating edits for characters (said friend dragged me into that as well and I ended up loving it)
I've gotta say I don't really have any canon characters for anything that I absolutely love drawing, yet.
A favorite oc of mine to draw would have to be this one that doesn't have a name yet, but they have this long, fluffy as hell tail and flowers in their fur, I absolutely love it! For a non cat character, I really don't have any yet, but I'm pretty sure I have a sketch of a girl based off Twizzlers somewhere in my old sketch book, and I do remember how I designed her, it's probably one of my favorite human-like things I've designed. What about you?
