The calm before the storm Galeclan is very different from your average clan. Ranks have been tweaked throughout the many seasons Galeclan has been alive to fit their way of life. The warrior code has had rules added and taken away. Ceremonies have become customs that no other clan has done before. Some of these change during a monarchs rule, and then change again when another comes into power. Don't worry, stranger, all will be explained in due time. x-- Read through the front page. Galeclan is not an average clan. There are many changes in ranks, warrior code, etc. I will be able to tell if you haven't so you may as well at least skim through.
x-- Do not join as a position of high power. These include Emporers/Empresses, Nobles, Dukes/Duchesses, or a Regent if there is one needed. Either the Emporer/Empress will appoint these positions, or you must have been an active member of the clan for at the very least a week. Keep in mind, if I do allow you to make one of these characters, they must have a relation to Gale, Storm, Rain, or the current emporer/empress. The only exception would be for a plot, prophecy, etc. Also, please don't join as a queen, or have two of your cats be mates. You may join as a kit only if you ask me and I say yes.
x-- This is an advanced clan. I'm sure by now most of you know what this means, but in case you don't, this means you must proper grammar, spelling, etc. I will also expect at the very least 3-5 lines per post, per character. I understand we all have our off-days, but persistent one liners will not be accepted.
x-- Follow forum rules. This should be a no brainer, but I will put it here anyway. You must follow forum rules at all times while on this thread, or any thread for that matter. I put a lot of thought and work into this clan, and I would not be happy if it got deleted.
x-- Be active. Do not join and never come back. As said in the rule above, I put a lot of though and effort into this clan, and I won't accept inactive members. The bare minimum would be an hour or so of role play twice a week, but more would be preferred. I understand we all have lives, but if you can't be here that often, then please refrain from joining. If there is an emergency, you are going on vacation, or you get grounded, tell me and I will not delete your cats.
x-- Do not join as a mary/gary-sue/stu, powerplay, etc. This is obnoxious, and won't be accepted. It makes the role play boring, and I will not hesitate to delete your cats if this happens.
x-- Be nice to other members and myself. Arguing, complaining, insults, etc. will not be accepted. This clan is a place to have fun and role play, and I will delete any member immediately if any bullying occurs.
x-- Other rules. Ask me before any major plots occur. When joining, make your cats interesting. Your joining form must have at least 5 lines or more, and try to be kept under 20. Do not join with a crush; They must be developed in role play. There are no limits to the amount of cats you can join with, just make sure you can keep up with them. If not, I will delete the most inactive ones. NO spamming, although you may ask someone to come to another thread if necessary. And last, but certainly not least, everything on this clan is mine. The coding, writing, everything besides the members characters. If I see you stealing, I will report you immediately, no exceptions. x-- About Galeclan Galeclan has many things that make it a unique clan. There are two types of cats in Galeclan. There are cats that are very muscular and large. These cats are able to overpower many enemies and use that to their advantage in battle. The other cats are more lithe and agile. They use speed and strategy to their advantage in battle. Although the build of Galeclan cats may vary, our pelts do not. The vast majority of cats in the clan have black, brown, or gray. Russet and light brown cats are very uncommon, and there are almost never white cats in the clan. Eye colors vary greatly between cats, but Galeclan cats are very well known for their tracking and battling skills. x-- History Galeclan was founded by three cats: Gale, Storm, and Rain. They were a group of loners, previously banished from a clan known as Crowclan. They traveled far, each one with their own suggestions on what to do since their banishment. Gale suggested making a clan of their own, and Storm and Rain were on board, but where would they get enough cats? During their travels, they went from a group of 3 to a group of 4. Then a group of 4 to a group of 6, and so on. Eventually they were a large group of cats, each interested in the idea of clan life. Now they just waited until they found the perfect territory, and not long from them they ran into the forest that Galeclan resides in today. At first, clan life was just like the clan the original three came from. But as more seasons went by, and new leaders came to be, Galeclan eventually turned into the clan it is today. |

Below are the ranks of Galeclan explained.
x-- Emperor/Empress
The emperor/empress is the "monarch" of the clan. What they say goes, and most often they are a descendant of Gale, Storm, Rain, or the previous emporer/empress. They are given 9 lives by Starclan when they come into power.
x-- Emperor/Empress Regnant
Sometimes called the Regnant, the Emperor/Empress Regnant is the Emperor/Empresses mate. They are not nearly as powerful as the Emporer/Empress. They have more influence, and are seen as royalty to the clan, but other than that they have no extra duties or power than the average warrior.
x-- Duke/Duchess
The Duke/Duchess of the clan is most often first born son/daughter of the Emperor/Empress and will take their place after their death. If the Emperor/Empress has no daughters or son, then this rank will not be fulfilled and the Nobles will choose who takes the position of Emperor/Empress. The cat in this rank has only slightly more power than the average warrior, as he/she will have more influence on the Emperor/Empresses decisions, and the Duke/Duchess is seen as royalty. Other than that, the Duke/Duchess has no extra duties or power than the average warrior.
x-- Regent
The regent of the clan is a cat who will fulfill the role of Emperor/Empress until the Duke/Duchess is old enough to be considered the Emperor/Empress, which, as stated in the warrior code, is 25 Moons. There will not always be a Regent in the clan. The regent is elected by the nobles when one is needed.
x-- Nobles
The nobles are a group of cats who are descendants of Gale, Storm, or Rain, or are a son/daughter of the Emperor/Empress. There can be no more than 7 Nobles at once. When one dies, the remaining nobles with elect a cat to take their position, most often a descendant of Gale, Storm, or Rain, or a relative of the Emperor/Empress. The nobles have more power than the Duke/Duchess. They are also very well trained in battling skills, as one of their biggest duties is protecting the Emperor/Empress at all times.
x-- Medicine Cat(apprentice)
The Medicine Cat and/or their apprentices is not much different from an average clan. They heal injured clanmates, however, they are not the specified cat to speak to Starclan. The Medicine Cat and their apprentice are to only heal their clan mates, and nothing more.
x-- Star Speaker
The Star Speaker takes on the role of speaking to Starclan that originally the Medicine cat(apprentice) would have. The take the Duke/Duchess to speak to Starclan to get their nine lives, and once a moon at the least they will speak to Starclan as well. If they need to speak to their ancestors at any time, they are given the right to do so.
x-- Warrior
Warriors are no different from the average clan for the most part. The highest duty is to protect the Emperor/Empress at all costs. They hunt and fight for the clan. They are to protect others in higher power at all costs, especially the Emperor/Empress, and then the Duke/Duchess, the Nobles, Medicine Cat, and Star Speaker. Only when they are protected do they protect fellow Warriors, Apprentices, Mothers, Elders, and Kits.
x-- Apprentices
Apprentices are no different from apprentices from the average clan. They are training to become a warrior, and do so after passing their initiation at 12 moons. They hunt and fight for the clan, but they also have the task of changing bedding, fetching herbs with the Medicine Cat (apprentice), and doing anything the Mothers ask.
x-- Mothers&Kits
Mothers are the equivalent to Queens in an average clan. They are pregnant or nursing she-cats, and they live in the nursery until their kits become apprentices. Kits are to stay in the nursery until half a moon old at the earliest, and only then can they leave the nursery. Kits older than half a moon are to stay in camp with no exceptions. They become apprentices at 6 Moons old.
x-- Elders
Elders are Warriors who are unable to continue their warrior duties, whether it be to age, or anything else. They can leave camp as they please, although it is preferred they spend most of their time in camp. x-- Territory and Camp Galeclan resides in a temperate deciduous forest. This means every leaf-fall and leaf-bare the trees lose their leaves. We have warm greenleafs and mild leaf-bares. Below listed are landmarks within the territory, including Galeclan camp.
x-- Camp
The majority of Galeclan territory is very thick forest, but camp is located in an area where the trees thin out. It's not exactly a clearing in the forest, but Galeclan chose this as camp as the trees do provide a small bit of protection, and in the case of Camp getting raided, they can use it to their advantage. It was also chosen because of the stream that circles it. The Emperor/Empresses den is cave-like opening in a huge boulder opposite of the side of camp entrance. The entrance to the den barely fits one cat, but the inside is huge with a single nest in the back. The Duke/Duchess and Emperor/Empresses Regnant share a den with the Nobles, so it is commonly called just the Nobles den. It is under a fallen tree that is surrounded on the outside by large, thick bushes. The Warrior and Apprentice dens are both burrows in the ground with a small entrance but a large inside. The Nursery is a large, abandoned fox den, the closest den to the Emperor/Empresses den. The Medicine Cat and Star Speakers den (most commonly known as just the Medicine Cat den) is located on the other side of the nursery, and it is in between two huge boulders leaning against each other. The Elders den is just past a thick bramble bush near the warriors den and the inside is surrounded by more bushes. Clan meetings are held under the Giant Elm Tree, where the Emperor/Empress will climb onto the lowest branch and address the clan.
x-- The Clearing
There is a single Clearing the vast area of Galeclan territory, which is on the far, western side. Here is where any member of the clan can practice battling skills, hunting techniques, etc. This is where the clan hunts rabbits and field mice the most.
x-- Pool of Stars
The pool of Stars is where the Star Speaker goes to speak with Starclan. It is behind a waterfall that is just outside the territory to the north of camp. There are rocks that lead up to a cave behind a waterfall where there is a pool of water where the cat places his nose to fall into a deep sleep.
x-- Main River
The Main River is where the stream surrounding camp gets its water supply. It's not far from camp, just to the east. It's a good place to go fishing or hunt for prey drinking the water. Sometimes cats of the clan like to swim for fun here as well. Sometimes Twolegs can be found here in Greenleaf, so it is advised to be on your guard when hunting here in Greenleaf.
x-- Twoleg Place
Just outside the territory to the south, is a relatively small twoleg place where kittypets and dogs roam, however very rarely are they a threat. Sometimes twolegs can be found at the river, especially in Greenleaf.
x-- The Peak
The Peak is a mountain to the east of camp, past the Main River. No cat in Galeclan history as either climbed nor gone farther than the mountain, and the base of the mountain is where our eastern border is. It is forbidden to climb or go further than the mountain, as no cat knows what lurks beyond.
x-- Foxstars Army
Foxstars army resides in a clearing not too far outside of Galeclan territory. Foxstar sleeps in a burrow, just like the ones in Galeclan camp, which is always protected by two warriors at night. The army sleeps in an abandoned fox den relatively close to Foxstars army. |

Emperor Badgerstar died roughly 15 moons ago. Which meant his youngest daughter, Foxpounce was to come into power. At first, the clan was very happy, as Badgerstar had been a tough leader who gave cruel punishments for any reason he could find. However, this state of comfort was short lived. Foxstar didn't seem to be much different from her father. She was just as tough, if not more, and she proposed outrageous additions to the warrior code, requested that apprentices be made warriors sooner, kits be made apprentices sooner, and warriors to train claws unsheathed. She force rogues to join unwillingly and train as apprentices. She wanted to make Galeclan as strong as it could possibly be. This led to a state of great amounts of death, causing the clan to become the opposite of what she wanted. As bad as it seems, not the whole clan opposed. However, a noble by the name of Hailstrike had enough of the clan helping him, and he was able to seize the position of Emperor. She was banished, and with her went her followers. But Foxstar isn't about to give up. She has been growing her gang of followers outside of clan territory, and she will come back to regain her position of empress. Will she usurp the usurper? Or will Hailstar be able to hold onto his position of power?

x-- Defend your Emperor/Empress above all else. Any cat who is a higher rank than yourself must be protected after the Emperor/Empress is safe.
x-- Do not hunt or trespass outside our boundaries.
x-- Emperor/Empress and the Regnant eats first. Then the Duke/Duchess, Regent, and the Nobles. Then Kits, Mothers, Star Speaker, Medicine Cats, and Elders. Warriors and Apprentices eat last.
x-- Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
x-- A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
x-- Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil outside the Emperor/Empresses den for one night after receiving their

Hailstar
Hailstar is a large, hefty tomcat. His muscle show through his dark gray tabby fur, and he has a very intimidating look. With a professional aura about him, yet with a powerful demeanor, it's no wonder why the clan chose him to replace Cedarstar and Emperor. His blue eyes can send chills down any cats spine, especially an enemies in battle. He is arguably one of the biggest cats in the clan, and one of the most skilled in battle. However, he can be lazy in his duties and tends to just hand them off to his nobles. He's not very accepting of outsiders, and pretty closed off from his clan. He doesn't want to make friends, he just wants to lead them to be a powerful clan. He is looking for a mater, however, to keep his legacy going through his family.

Otterswipe
Otterswipe is a descendant of Rain, which is how she holds her current position as a Noble. Her body is lithe and agile, and her pelt is a dark Russet, which is uncommon in the clan. This would make her seem like a lesser noble, but she doesn't allow that to happen. She is a very demanding, powerful she-cat. If any cat dares to comment on her pelt color, she will rip their fur off. She knows her power, and she won't let anything take it away from her. Within her rank, she's very friendly to the other Nobles. She tends to look down upon the warriors, but doesn't show it, or tell anyone. She seems to have a big ego, and doesn't plan on changing that. She knows her place in the clan, and holds that above the warriors even if she doesn't say it out loud.

Ashleap
Ashleap is a smokey gray tom with dark, menacing amber eyes. He has a large, muscular body, and he knows how to use that to his advantage in battle. Ashleap has no relation to Gale, Storm, Rain or Hailstar, so he's come to terms with the fact that he will probably never be chosen as a Noble, despite his ambitions. However, he's still a friendly cat to his fellow warriors and still respects the Nobles and all those above him. He's not afraid to speak his mind and is an outgoing cat. He can get a little flirty sometimes, but he doesn't care. He's a playful cat, and doesn't like to be serious, even in situations where he should be.

Antpaw
Antpaw has a pure black pelt with a very dark green eyes. His body shape is very lithe and agile. With a skinny body, he can run and swim faster than some of his clanmates. He's small for his age; He was the runt of his litter. It's one of the things he hates about himself, but his personality makes up for the lack of body size. He's very outgoing, and has no trouble making friends within the clan. He can get very easily angered though, and he doesn't like being teased. Someday he wishes to be Emperor, but having no relations to Gale, Storm, Rain, or the current Emperor, he knows that won't happen. Deep down, he really just wants to live a full life serving his clan the best way that he can.

Foxstar
Foxstar is a she-cat who is lithe and agile, yet still has a considerable amount of muscle to her. She has a powerful, yet royal, air about her, and it almost seems like she's a sweet she-cat when you first meet her. But cross her, and she is dangerous. She has absolutely no patience for any cat doubting her leadership, and will order attacks on them on the spot. Prove you're loyal, and she will promise food and protection in return. However, this isn't true. She will send her army to fight for her in a split second if need be, and is planning an attack on Galeclan to regain her born right as Empress. She has a big ego, and knows that she is pure royalty. If anyone disrespects her, she isn't afraid to use her teeth and claws. Her pelt is dark brown with darker tabby markings, and she has dark, intimidating amber eyes.

Coldsnap
Coldsnap is a gray tom with darker gray tabby markings. His eyes are a cold, icy blue, from which he got his name. Coldsnap is loyal to Foxstar down to his bones. He is very battle hungry, and jumps at the chance to defend his Empress. He practices his fighting skills everyday, and has become one of the best in the army. He isn't the friendliest cat, and it can be difficult to get on his good side. It's hard to become a friend to this cat, but once one does, he's very loyal and would do anything for them.
Hollypounce
Hollypounce is a pure black she-cat, with a lithe and agile body shape. She's very agile, and excels at dodging hits in battle and using her speed to retaliate. She has a big ego, and thinks she is the best cat in the army and Galeclan. She thinks she should be Empress herself, being a descendant of Storm, but since that isn't happening anytime soon, she swore loyalty to Foxstar. She very highly looks down upon those with no royal descendant, and shows it too. Because of this, she tends to get in many fights only for it to be broken up by Foxstar. But Foxstar knows she is one of her most loyal followers, and doesn't dare to pick a fight with Hollypounce, because, technically, Hollypounce should be royalty as well. |
