Delilah slowed her run to an easy jog as she reached the strawberry fields. Glancing down at her watch, she grinned, new best time. The pale girl was clearly flushed and breathing heavily as she gradually slowed her jog into a walk. She'd pushed a lot harder this run then previous ones, as show by the blinking numbers on her watch. But it was all worth it. Rubbing her sweaty hands on her running shorts, she turned and headed back toward the cabins, she definitely needed a change of clothes, maybe a shower if she had the time. - Hey Winter! - Sebastian was asleep on the roof of the stables lying flat on his stomach in an attempt to shield his face from the sun. His arms were folded under his head causing some awkward tan lines, be he was too tired to care. His dark hair was a mess as always, long over due for a haircut. He had chosen to wear an old, navy blue tank top and a pair of gym shorts today but his feet wear bare; Bash always claimed that shoes only slowed him down if he was climbing so it wasn't unusual for the son of Hermes to be barefoot.

Vance saw Elenor’s smile and couldn’t help but be happy for her. She had found something she loved, something that made her happy. Vance looked back at the mound of clay he’d dropped, wondering how it could ever be something beautiful. However, he figured it was best not to bum Elenor out. “I don’t think I’ve ever talked to you before. Not really,” Vance thought aloud, frowning. The other cabins always seemed so close.
Elias nearly yelled out again as the Hades boy jumped to one foot. Elias still wasn’t sure where his other leg had gone. In his panic, Elias couldn’t remember this boy’s name, nor could he think of any good lies. All his brain thought of was this boy killing him with dark underworld powers.
“I am, uh, blind,” Elias lied clumsily, trying to cover it with a nervous smile and avoiding eye contact. “Thought this was my cabin. I am deeply sorry, you understand.”

Delilah passed by the stables, humming quietly to a song she'd thought of earlier this morning. Upon spotting what looked to be a camper relaxing on the roof, she stopped with an amused smile on her face. Changing her original course, she took a few casual steps toward the stables. Holding up a single had to block out sunlight, she looked up at the camper on the roof with a grin. Are they asleep?. The thought made her chuckle out loud. "How's the weather up there?" She asked loudly in a friendly tone of voice, waiting for a reaction to confirm whether they were indeed napping.

6 characters! Wow, that's a handful xD)
Delilah laughed louder as she received no answer. How someone had managed to fall asleep on a roof, she had no clue, but the thought, for some ridiculous reason just made her want to laugh harder. She didn't want to intrude, but they were probably going to get sunburnt if they stayed up there asleep for long. Holding down the waves of laughter that threatened to bubble up in her throat, she slowly jogged to the opposite side of the stable. Locating a tall stack of hay bales, she hopped on the top and then heaved herself up onto the roof. Delilah scanned for the sleeping beauty and quickly spotted him looking rather relaxed. Having arrived on the road, she could now hear the quiet sounds of snores coming from the boy. A short laugh escaped her lips and she quickly placed a hand over her mouth, her shoulders heaving as she held down the giggles. She made her way over to him, trying to avoid being too loud as she might startle him. Delilah sat herself down a reasonable distance away from him and tried to decide whether waking a stranger was really a good idea. He might be an angry napper. Shrugging off the thoughts, she decided she might as well just wake him up. She came all this way. Stretching out her leg so that she didn't have to slide any closer, she lightly nudged the sleeping campers foot in an attempt to wake him nicely.

"Well, I've only been here a few months. Plus you spend most of your time sleeping. And I'v got Asher," Elenor said, the 'which means I don't need you' unspoken but still quite clear. She wasn't even really thinking about what she was implying, so focused on the bowl slowly taking shape in front of her. It was a bad habit she had, getting so engrossed in something that she wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying. Of course, most of the time it didn't come out, because she was so shy around anyone she didn't know that she wouldn't say a word.

(xD No problem!)
Delilah could hardly contain her laughter, forcing herself to instead, laugh softly under her breath. Sliding herself about an arms length away, but feeling a bit uncomfortable with moving closer, she tried nudging him again with her foot. But that method didn't seem to be working well for her. "Wow, you're really out, aren't you?" Delilah said aloud, several more laughs tumbling out of her mouth when she spoke. Trying to suppress her laughter, she pressed her lips together and bit her bottom lip to keep her mouth closed. But the muffled sound of her giggles escaped from her nose instead. She pressed a hand to her mouth, taking long breaths through her nose to try and calm herself. Once her laughter subsided, she leaned to the side toward him and shook his shoulders. "Hope your not dead." She managed to get out in a squeaky voice as she struggled to stop another laugh from escaping.

Vance sat back in his seat and crossed his arms. A life spent listening meant that he was an expert at picking up on undertones, the subtle nuances in conversation. Vance could hear the words that went unspoken, because not hearing them was dangerous. So Vance knew what Elenor had meant, the words she wouldn't say. She didn't know him, had no desire to know him. "Yeah." Was all Vance could respond, a choking sound deep in his throat. He had come to this camp alone, Mallow had been killed by the hydra in front of his eyes. And every year he spent here was alone, with anyone who tries to make an attempt as wriggling into Vance's heart quickly realizing it was a mistake. What it really boiled down to was that Vance was unlikable. With that he let the conversation lapse into nothingness, a silence which was more comfortable than forced conversation. If Elenor had any desire to say anything more, she could. ((This time on: Vance's self pity fun corner))

Elias breathed a sigh of relief, now that this other boy wasn't yelling at him. He'd known plenty of campers - and people in general - who got enraged at the drop of a pin. As an athlete, Elias couldn't count the number of angry players who'd gotten in his face and screamed at him. Elias took a final glance at the door before stepping out into the open. He could see the other boy more clearly now, taller than him and paler, too.
"Eh, it was worth a try." Elias shrugged, pausing to stall for time. He still needed an excuse as to why he was in the Hades cabin. He had heard strange noises, maybe, but that was clearly unbelievable. Maybe he could say a Hermes kid had hidden something of his in here, or that a pet he was keeping secret had run away. "I'm Elias, and, uh, sorry for intruding," Elias' voice cracked on the last syllable, and he cringed so hard his soul nearly departed from his body.

Delilah shifted away as he finally woke up. She grinned, eyes dancing with amusement. She covered her mouth with her hand in attempt to hide her blatant laughter, she didn't want to offend him or make him angry. "I'm sorry, I don't know why this is so funny to me." She said in a bubbly tone, her laughter clear in her voice. Delilah pressed her lips close together to try to stop herself from laughing. There was no reason for it to be so hilarious. But he was completely knocked out, and snoring. He looked practically dead and just laid there limp on the roof. Just the thought almost made her laugh again and she shallowed her giggles, trying to appear normal. "You were really out, just thought I'd wake you up so you didn't get burnt." Delilah said, clearing her throat and taking a deep breath to calm herself.

"Well, I'm glad my nap was so amusing to you. Do you just enjoy watching strangers sleep?" To be honest, Sebastian was a little grumpy at being woken up. Sunburnt or not the boy liked his sleep. Letting out another yawn he rolled over and began to sit up, moving slowly as he started to stretch. Once he was situated Bash leaned back slightly so he was putting most of his weight on his arms behind him, legs outstretched in front of him. He eyed the girl beside him curiously; he had seen her around camp sure, but he never really went out of his way to talk to anyone. What's her name.... Debby? Lilac? No... Lilac doens't sound right, maybe Deborah? Bash couldn't think of her name for the life of him so he decided he might as well keep his mouth shut, no point in making her laugh at him more if he got her name wrong. "I'm used to getting burnt, it seems to happen quite often actually." He gave her a small shrug, as if him falling asleep outside and waking up burnt to a crisp was the most normal thing in the world.

Delilah laughed lightly, "Only when they're sleeping on stable roofs in the blazing sun." She smiled and shifted her gaze to take in the view provided from this perch. It was nice to look at, she could almost understand wanting to fall asleep up here. "Sounds like a good way to get blisters. And wrinkly." The girl crossed her legs and slid herself to the right so that she was facing toward him. Propping an elbow on her knee, she rested her head in her hand. "I dunno, I could see you laying out here when your 80, wrinkly and burnt like toast. And snoring loud enough to wake a sleeping dragon." Delilah commented light heartedly, a grin slowly creeping across her lips.

Yeah, college things are stressful, I'm really struggling for scholarships and stuff to get money around) Axel was a bit surprised by her introducing herself. People never did that to him. The only name he knew here was Chiron, because he always yelled at him after he got into fights. He stepped forward and shook her hand lightly, "Axel." He took a step back and eyed her cautiously, unsure whether or not they were actually having a conversation or an awkward introduction. Deciding that it was his decision whether or not it was awkward, he casually asked a question in attempt to avoid silence. "Where you from?" Omg me too DX)) "My motherland is Italy if you want to get technical." Eris confessed. She was rather proud of her heritage but it wasnt something she really thought about since her mother passed away. "But I grew up in new York city. Some slums, some back alleyways, the usual." She shrugged.

Axel's facial expression changed when Eris said she was from New York. He was impressed. "Really? I didn't hear an accent." He smirked, but his tone was light, almost playful. He noticed that she didn't mention a home or apartment, but didn't bother digging further. He hardly knew her, it wasn't his place and he wasn't to interested in hearing a sob story. Although he had the feeling she wasn't the type of person to give a sob story to anyone.

Eris rolled her eyes. "Cant pick up an accent if you never talk to anyone." She pointed out. She never spoke to anyone other than her mother, who did not have a New Yorker accent, and on rare moments her father. After that, she fell pretty much silent, telling mostly to herself or the alley cats around her. Interaction with people was saved for a absolutely necessary basis only. Not like she would ever tell him that. Her life was no business to anyone but herself

He looked at her with an arched eyebrow, staying silent for several seconds. Could you live in New York and not talk to anyone? Apparently. Because he was good with accents and she did not have one. "I'd bet even the sewer rats have a New York accent." He gave a small shrug, but decided to drop the subject anyway. Axel shoved his hands into his pockets, suddenly feeling the aged cover of his Sherlock Novel still sitting patiently in his pocket, waiting to be read. Suddenly he remembered why he'd been out here the whole time. He took a deep breath, "Well as nice as it's been being insulted, almost pummeled, and then, with a strange twist, having an actual conversation. I think I'll be making my way into the woods to continue my complete isolation." Axel's tone returning to that state of lacking much emotion or interest. A tone of voice he used toward others whenever he wasn't trying to get into fights.

Eris crossed her arms again. "Seeking isolation and reading. Got it, you're an Athena spawn." She said with confidence, pleased with her deduction. Not like she cared who's spawn this kid was, or anyone else here. She was just here until she could get a way to get gone and somewhere else. Anywhere but this stupid camp full of it's ignorant children

Axel laughed, but it was laced with bitterness. "Yeah, well congratulations," He held his arms up at shoulders height, "I'm the spawn of a lady obsessed with owls." Axel held clear annoyance and bitterness toward the mention of his mother. His gaze narrowed again, but less in regard to Eris and more in regard to the conversation. "I am just your average little Athena hatchling"-He wiggled his fingers around and scrunched up his nose in disgust-" and I like to run around and make all the Hades spawn angry so that they kill me and send me too the Underworld. That's what us, smart, logical Athenians do."

"You wanna go to the underworld so bad I can take you without killing you, it would be much more fun to watch your body decompose from being down there too long without food or water. But I'm not that sick and twisted. That's what real intelligence looks like, Bob. Thinking of the best way to ruin your enemies." Eris smiled, but not in the cute girly fashion. It was dark like hades himself was smiling. "Anyways, Axel, it's been wonderful. Always a pleasure meeting other spawn" there was clear sarcasm in her words

Axel rolled his eyes, biting back a retort, at this point he just wanted some silence. Which a fight would probably not provide him with. He gave a dramatic wave of his hand as if bowing, but failed in actually doing any kind of bow, because he didn't feel like it. "Happy shadow traveling." His sarcasm laced with an apathetic undertone as he walked forward onto the path Eris had been previously walking. Axel stuck his hands in his pockets and began walking north toward the North Woods.
