A large full moon hung over the valley, illuminating the treetops and the looming mountainside. Halfway up the mountain was a small drop of light. Like a candle in the distance. But upon closer inspection it was a fist sized fire. Sitting around the fire was a woman. She was pale as the snow with stark platinum hair. Pointed ears sticking out through her tight French braid. She sat alone by the fire, legs crossed, with a small satchel in her lap. Curled beside her was a shiny silver mound, that could easily be mistaken for a large chunk of silver. However, it was far from that. Making a small click with her tongue, the elf looked at the mound and a slender head rose with bright yellow eyes blinking rapidly. It was a full grown Lunar dragon. They stayed small, growing only to the size of the average dog. The elf flipped open her satchel with a slender hand and pulled a piece of dried deer meat from it. The dragon's groggy appearance quickly disappeared and it moved gracefully to its feet, prancing over to the elf and snatching the offered piece of meat. The she-elf looked to the sky, noticing the subtle hue of a large sun on the horizon. The peaceful gaze once gracing her face quickly disappeared to one of stern suspicion. Sun light meant sun elves. She was, after all, in their territory, and there was war happening between the clans. In the light of the full moon, her powers where tremendous in the face of even several sun elves. But as sun light came, her powers would dwindle and her small campsite wasn't exactly the best hiding spot.

((Cool! I’ll probably make another character eventually but for now I’ll stick with one. Is it alright if they can communicate telepathically? That way they can communicate without language barrier))

A pointed face glanced to the rising dawn, the sunlight catching her hazel eyes. She nodded to herself, sighing in relief. Her patrol was almost over and she could congratulate herself for managing to stay alive. Something to look forward to these days, at least. She wished she could skip this patrol, but how would that reflect on her? Besides, the sun elves took turns patrolling the woods and skipping one meant certain exile. It didn't help that she had a certain fear of the dark, which greatly slowed her patrol times (or so the general said.) She huffed as leaves crunched under her feet while she adjusted her grip on her bow, her hands slowly regaining their elven power. She absentmindedly walked to the mountains, her final patrol stop. Suddenly, her eyes widened as she saw a flame flickering in the distance. Her heart started pounding despite herself as she realized that no sun elf in their right mind would camp at this time. Her training started to kick in and she almost instinctively began running to it while preparing her bow. She looked for any figures by the flame, her light blond hair swirling behind her.

(Sure!)
The she elf lightly stroked the head of her lunar dragon as her pale eyes raked her surroundings. She needed to move, a cave would be appropriate. Absorbed in her thoughts, she was pulled back into reality as the dragon began nipping playfully at her slender fingers. "Aye, Aka, teeth." Waving her hand away from the creatures mouth, her tone taking on a motherly scold. Aka, the small dragon growled lightly and bounced away. The she-elf shook her head, the smallest gleam of a smile in her eyes. Shifting to her side, she reached for her bow and slung it over her shoulder along with a quiver she attached to her hip. Moving to her feet, she grabbed her satchel and slung it over her head before picking up two freshly sharpened daggers and tucking them inside the cloth sack.
Looking down at her companion, she bent toward the ground and picked up her groggy traveling friend. The she elf stepped toward the fire and swiftly stopped it out with a black booted foot. She pulled the hood from her shoulders and slipped it over her head in attempt to conceal her bright hair that began shimmering in the rising sunlight.

((Alright I’ll have the dragon just meet her, maybe save her from a sun elf or something))
A large, black dragon was nearby the lunar She elf, moving as quietly as possible. The dragon’s dark golden eyes somewhat shone in the morning light, and there appeared to be what looked like ghostly black flames and smoke rising from his back, though it was slowly going away as the sun rose. He had no back spikes or crazy frills on his tail, but his sleek black body was countered by a strong, pointed head and a few horns sprouting from his head. As he walked along, he sniffed the air. Finally. He thought as he walked on, having found the lunar elf’s scent. Hello? Anyone there? He called out through his mind to try and reach the female elf. Only she would be able to hear him, and it would be directly in her mind.

With the light of her fire burnt out, the air dimmed, but still held the small glint of morning sunshine. Turning to the mountainside that hovered about her, she squinted, trying to find the small outline of the mouth of a cave. Her thoughts were interrupted as a voice spoke suddenly. The bow was off her back and loaded with a razor sharp arrow within seconds. She moved in a tight circle, pale eyes hardened on the shadows around her. "I'll have an arrow in your throat before you can make a move. I would move on if I were you." She said aloud in a harsh tone. The lunar dragon once in her arms was now on the ground and stiff, wings spread out and mouth barely cracked, the light of a harsh sleeping beam glowing in his jaws. He was ready to put an stranger to sleep for his elf.

I’d advice against that, little elf. I may be the only way you get out of here alive. The voice came out again, low and gravelly. A bunch of audible draconic growls then rang out through the forest, loud and powerful, telling the smaller dragon to shut its mouth. Then, an inky grayness leaked out from the bushes then flashed out and surrounded the clearing the two were in. It blacked out everything outside of the clearing, the only light was a greyish hue where the sun was rising. The loud growls and sounds cane out again, and movement was seen at one edge of the semisphere they were in, then more movement at the other side.

Bending low at the knees, she peered through the odd gray cloud around her. Being the race of elf she was, darkness didn't have much effect of her, but with the cloud and the shadows outside it, there was no identity to match the voice. It was in this moment she realized the voice was in her head and not speaking aloud to her. She glanced down at Aka, the small dragon shook his head as if shaking out voices and then hissed in irritation, white smoke leaking from his jaws as his flames intensified in rebellion. To avoid drawing any more attention, being that the sun was on the rise, she decided on continuing the conversation on a mental frequency. She lowered her bow and hooked it around her shoulder. But she was not disarming herself. Instead she quickly pulled out her daggers, holding them at ready in her hands.I can save myself. Either show yourself or get out of my way. I've killed worse then you. Easily.

The Draconian voice came out in reply, the haze surrounding them growing thicker. I can certainly agree that you’ve killed worse than me. I’m here to save you, not harm you. The voice replied. The haze around them turned to pitch blackness and a breeze started blowing around her and the small dragon, the breeze whipping every which way. Then, small breaks in the clouds started appearing, glimmers of light against the darkness. Eventually the gashes in the blackness grew bigger, and it was soon seen that they were actually in what looked like a tornado! But the wind soon died and the blackness vanished. The surface beneath the two moved a little, and that’s when everything became clear. The tornado was caused by the dragon that had been talking to the girl, and now they were on his back. The dragon looked up at the girl and smiled a toothy grin. Hello.

The she elf yelped in surprise as a dragon suddenly sat beneath her legs. She gripped her daggers tightly. Do you expect me to just trust you when you surrounded me with smoke and appeared beneath me?! Who are you?! She practically shouted into the dragons mind, coming off very defensive.
(Sorry it's so short!)

Lol no problem))
The dragon grunted. Im saving your butts from a sun elf patrol. Look. He replied, nodding in the direction where crunches andnmetal armor clinks could be heard. Now lay down and hang on tight! He urged the girl, his wings spreading out. He couldn’t travel the way he normally would, now that the sun was up, but he could at least fly them out of harm’s way.

The elf slowed as the air around her became a thick haze. Her eyes narrowed, was this magic? The fog would diminish her powers somewhat, but she was sure she could still fight. She raised a freckled hand, creating a ball of light in it. Her eyes narrowed as the haze passed. She dismissed the light and quickly grabbed her bow and an arrow from a quiver on her back. The one she had picked out had a long yellow ribbon attached to it, a warning shot.
She clicked her tongue nervously despite herself as she looked for a figure. "I am-" She stopped herself from speaking, eyes glancing around. She prepared her bow for a shot in the distance, yanking back the string. She let the string go. She watched the arrow fly into the distance. She then called to whatever was out there. "I, Solaris of the sun elf clan, compel you to surrender immediately!" She shifted. "Drop your weapons then come forward and this will end peacefully!" Her only hope at the moment was that exactly that would happen, but she said the second part anyway. "Do not and you will face the anger of our clan!"

She glared at the dragon below her as he took off. Reaching a hand behind her to hold onto Aka. Put me down on the other side of the mountain. She said shortly. She wasn't interested in some kind of alliance between someone who sprung upon her, refused to show their face, forced her into a 'rescue', and wouldn't even tell her who they were. Her posture stiffened to show her complete irritation and anger with the newest and temporary traveling companion. The moon elf slipped her daggers into her belt so that they were ready at a moments notice and tied her satchel shut to avoid losing any of her possessions. She glanced back at Aka and slid him closer to her, loosening her grip on the dragon below her. Her sharp gaze caught a small clearing below them. That clearing will do fine. An arrow whistled by her pointed ears and the she-elf jerked to attention. Her adrenaline kicked in and she pulled her bow off her back and loaded an arrow, frantically searching the ground for whoever shot it. They were completely exposed in the air and it was obviously a sun elf based on the shouts. The sun was rising higher. The pressure of feeling completely trapped between an untrustworthy rescuer and an attacker made her heart thump loudly. Spotting a figure down below, she loosed an arrow down toward what she hoped was the attacking sun elf. It was badly aimed, but perhaps it would scare them away.

(Thanks!) She jumped and swore as an arrow from the sky whizzed almost close enough to hit her. Her heart started pounding as she looked up, quickly scanning the sky. She resisted yelling in surprise. A dragon! A full grown dragon! Her first thought was a fear of being attacked, but something under the fear ebbed at it. A dragon this size would be worth a fortune, but even in a summer's midday she wouldn't be able to handle it alone. Suddenly, another thought struck her. Somebody must've been on that dragon, which meant that they had to be a dragon tamer.
She knew she couldn't handle this alone, but her clan's royalty would probably take everything if she alerted the other patrols and they took it down together. She shifted, trying to think on her feet. What would the tamer do? If it was something like a golem she would be dead for sure. Even though she thought she would regret it, she grabbed another ribboned arrow and shot it into the sky. A distress signal for the other sun elves. She ducked under a boulder while waiting for another patrol, if one would come.

Hey I'm here. Sorry, I should have told you guys this earlier. I'm in college and my classes are primarily in the evening till late. Sorry))
The large dragon growled as he was shot at, but heard the elf on his back fire back. Hang on! We're out of here! He said to her. He pumped his wings a few times, and black flameish-smoke seemed to come off them as he flapped, and quickly lifted off.

The she-elf looked down at the dragon beneath her as another arrowed flew past her head. After ducking to avoid losing an ear, she realized sun elves would be hearing the shouts and seeing arrows fly. It wouldn't be long before there was more then one of them. "We need to get on the ground, we're easy targets up here!" She yelled over the wind to the dragon carrying her.

Sorry!))
The dragon grunted at her command and he nodded. As you wish. He replied, diving down towards the ground and landing in a thick clump of trees and rocks surrounding them. We need to keep moving. He said, starting to walk again towards the mountains.

Quickly jumping off to dismount once they landed she nodded. "They'll likely have patrols headed from different areas, a cave or some other kind of hiding place is out best chance in daylight." She said, glancing to her side as to make sure Aka was still with her. The little silver dragon moved cautiously beside her, eyes flickering to every shadow.

The big dragon beside her nodded and kept walking. I know my way through the cave system in these mountains. They won’t catch up to us. The large dragon said into her brain. By the way, my name is Aragrasse. He added.
