Glad to be back! I was once a heavy user of the old forums, and now I can be sucked back in I guess, lol. But hello anyways.

Welcome to the forums! I hope you come to enjoy your stay, & that you get the opportunity to reconnect with the community! If you don't mind me asking, what series drove you into the world of Erin Hunter? For me it was Warriors, specifically Into the Wild.

I think when I first started, I had accidentally read Long Shadows instead of the first book. I was really young so I had no idea lol. But yeah, the power of three I guess is the series I started with.

Hello there. Your avatar reminds me of a book I read long ago called 'A Dog's Tale' or something like that. But I believe it's from survivors, isn't it Anyway, I just (re)joined as well, coming from the long-gone OG forums.

A lot of my friends started at the first book that was in their lap. Whether it be at a bookstore, bookfair, anime convention (yea they gave the books out as prizes), or just staring at some bookshelf at school. While the books are easy to start reading into from the start, it's midway when you realize, "Um I think I missed something"

Ahh, I get that. I just remember having no idea what the heck was going on when I read one of the books for the first time. But I loved it I guess since I know own way too many of them and can't seem to escape the fandom.

I'm in that boat too. I started with Midnight first. I'm not sure what keyed me in on the fact that it wasn't the first-first book. Sadly it kind of spoiled most of the first series for me but clearly it still got me hooked

I think there was a time that I was like pulling away from the series, and then Bluestar's Propechy released and I came tumbling back.

Bluestar's prophecy is a good story! I still go back and read it for the feels. Of course since then Yellowfang's secret, and Crookedstar's promise earned a place in the feels shelf. Then all the AMV's that came out around Bluestar's prophecy, especially Allicat's animated video.
What a time to be alive! Of course now, I've been pulled away from the series. Especially with the Fourth Apprentice and near end of Power of Three. I still pick up the books to read em, but not with as much excitement. On the other hand, I have to read between two-three books a week for school, so that keeps me occupied.

Oml Bluestar's Prophecy to this day is the only book that actually made me cry. Snowfur's death was just so sudden and heart-wrenching.

Yeh, I'll have to admit that I've pulled away too. Partially because of finances (books are expensive yo) and partially because... I'm not sure. I guess I figured the main series should have ended with The Last Hope. The prequel series still interests me though, and I'd love to read some of the special editions. It's just getting my hands on them. And--I'll admit--at my age I am somewhat fearful/embarressed of being seen in college with a warriors book. >> Which is the only place I'd have time to read between classes or on the bus or whatever.
Guardian's of Ga'Hoole on the other hand...

The prequels, oh how that stirred so much agitation. Good books, but I just don't have the time to read the books sitting in shelf. Been working on research and just trying to time manage every professors high demands. Though, sometimes when my Uni has book day or an event where college students can interact with elementary/middle/high students with books; i'll go and take some warriors books to spread the word. Just to kinda get some peeps reading.
Guardians of Ga'Hoole though. That's another good series.

Can I jump into this conversation a few days late? I feel like I can relate to the sucky-ness of uni. I'm actually thinking about re-reading the whole warriors series, but I don't want to be caught dead with one in my hand and questioned by my nosy roommate as to what I'm reading. She already eyes my Canterwood Crest books that I'm re-reading, and I feel like Warriors gives off more of a child-ish vibe than that series does. I hate having to hide Warriors from people though, the books have such a good story.
