"The four clans have fallen a countless amount of moons ago. With no one to look over, StarClan had begun to disappear as well, leaving Silverpelt empty and lonesome. Though when a prophecy foretells of a leader rising to bring back the four clans, those can only wonder if this prophecy is real or fake...."

PROLOGUE.
All was quiet. The moon in the sky, the wilting grass, the trees and the lake- everything was at standstill; time seemingly stopping. In any other circumstance, it would of been calming. Tranquil. An average night, with no signs of strife or pain. But in this instance, it was the exact opposite. It was eerie- as if an invisible fog had swathed over the entire lake, and then some. It was something that the residence of this territory was not used to. They weren’t used to this eerie silence, this indescribable feel, for one simple reason.
There simply wasn’t enough creatures in the land to feel it.
In fact, all but one group of people managed to stay in the all too slowly dying lands; ThunderClan. Standing on it’s last, dying breath. The majority of its population perishing in the past few months, leaving only but a few.
A few that the leader himself couldn’t bear to look at.
With his head held low and his heart burning with shame, the leader of this dying clan looked upon the outlook of the lake before him, eyes all but filled with emotion. Thoughts stirred in his mind: was it his fault for killing off the clan? Was he the one who did this to all the others? Was he being foolish for keeping this clan on this territory? He had lived the majority of his life in this place, and he had felt deathly loyal- was his own loyalty the key to ThunderClan’s downfall? His tail twitched, and the leader felt another surge of dread and pain at his own swirling thoughts.
“Bramblestar.”
Ears perking, the brown-furred tom turned his head to look behind him, seeing the visible shadow of a lithe, slim figure approaching him. Her paws careful on the aged bark of the branch, she settled herself lightly next to Bramblestar, her blue eyes casting down to the scene before her. Her tail flicking, the she-cat spoke, her voice old and cracking with age. “I’ve evacuated the rest.” Her voice shook with reluctance, letting out a soft sigh. Bramblestar could see the sadness in her deep eyes. His tail brushed against her flank in calming comfort.
“Don’t be ashamed, my dear deputy. We both know it was inevitable.” Her look said otherwise, and the leader couldn’t help but chuckle. It didn’t last long, however, though his grey muzzle still held a smile. “I can never get through to you, Ivypool, but even through that stubborn brain, you know I’m right.”
Ivypool, her fur slightly bristling, could only roll her eyes. “Cut the dung. This is a serious moment, you know.” Her bemused gaze drifted off into that of sadness once more, and Bramblestar felt the same pang she felt. This truly was the last moments of ThunderClan’s life- the two of them, watching the stars, paws sitting on the branches of Fourtrees, gazing down at the now empty clan territories. As Bramblestar looked down upon his home, and contemplated silently, he spoke. “I know.”
Silence followed, between the two of them. From the corner of his eye, he could see Ivypool looking up at the stars above, the scars on her slender body making her seem more crooked and battered than she should of been. The male absently wondered if she knew every story behind each of those scars, if she could remember each warrior who had inflicted each one. If she could think of a time when all the clans were here, even if they were all going through something horrible. Those scars led his eyes to wander to the sky above, and he himself wondered. Does Silverpelt look down upon us and think these same things? Is this the biggest scar of all: the Clans division?
Ivypool’s voice brought him from his introspection. “Silverpelt seems empty.” Her brows knitted, as non existent as they were, pupils intent. “I think… StarClan had left with them.” There was no panic in her voice, only shame. They both knew that the death of the four would lead to the death of StarClan; Silverpelt losing each star above as each StarClan cat was forgotten, or even left the lands of the stars altogether. They didn’t know much about StarClan at all, but they believed their superstitions were true. Bramblestar believed it, at least.
“We can’t do anything about that,” He advised softly, looking over to his forlorn deputy. “the best we can do is live in these lands, and preserve them the best we can. In hope that…” He paused, heart clenching, and before he could speak his deputy spoke for him. “In hope that others will found them once more.”
Ivypool looked away after those words, letting out a soft sigh. Standing on the branch, she stretched, giving Bramblestar one last look before turning and scrambling down the massive tree. “I’ll check for anyone else lingering.” The leader nodded, and he soon found himself sitting in the eerie silence of the lake’s night. He let out a low sigh, his shoulders slumping, and watched as everything he worked so hard for came crashing down into nothing. He knew that there was nothing he could do, nothing he could do in the last few moons of his final life.
All he could hope was that someday, someone could bring not only ThunderClan, but all clans back to life.
