You know how people say the sequel is never as good as the original? Well you can tell those people to get ready to eat a big, whooping pile of humble pie with a side of crow because the sequel to The Comfort of A Dreamer is posted-
Dreams Unwind... . Chapter one has been posted for your viewing pleasure so head on over, get to reading and enjoy!
So Dreams Unwind takes place a moon after the events of the epilogue. It will cover the aftermath of Ivypool having kits and the trouble it's caused ThunderClan, and absolutely deal with a cat we thought was gone coming back in a big way. I'm going to post one chapter a week- I know for this I gave you guys a few chapters at once but a few things 1. I only have 5 chapters written 2. this will be a short story so it will probably be half the chapters and 3. The chapters are longer and give you a more linear story as this will take place over about a week-2 weeks tops. So I hope you enjoy!
It's been a moon since we last saw Ivypool and things have changed- the way a placid ocean builds up the energy to become a terrifying storm. To her the dark clouds seem far off, just on the horizon; and as long as she stays in her own territory it will stay that way. The funny thing about storms is they tend to hit when you least expect, and one who is unprepared for the storm is always worse off.
As the ThunderClan deputy and mother of three healthy kits, Ivypool has an idealistic life, as long as you don't look to hard. But the skeletons of her past are a lot more alive than she thought, and they've managed to wrangle up her worst fears: losing her kits. They mean the world to her, but they're also her only anchor to her past. And there's more than one cat who would like nothing more than to remove that anchor.
When you're on top, there are even more eyes on you, watching you, waiting for the moment you slip up. Waiting to destroy you. But some wish to do more than wait- and that is where we find Ivypool; at war with all the cats who want a piece of her, finding out just how far they'll go to get it.
