What makes your favorite Warriors character your favorite?
My favorite is Dovewing mainly because I find myself relating to her a lot.

Puddleshine because he is a soft boy in a clan full of mean cats and I love that irony.
Flametail because he have a personality of an anime protagonist but choose to himself the life of a medicine cat and he have the only scene of OotS that I actually like that is him taunting Lionblaze.
I always liked Nightcloud but CT made me love her, she is my buff mom now in a platonic way.

I find myself drawn to Ivypool and Hollyleaf every time because of how strong they are, despite their feeling excluded. I relate to feeling excluded sometimes, and I want to be just as strong as the two of them. They just have strong spirits, and are truly interesting characters.

Brackenfur. Because he’s a plain as cardboard and still overrated.

Hmm. I submitted an article to BlogClan on my favorite characters (but the first being least favorite; I can see the explosion of comments on how they disagree with me already ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/6575102/images/iVhKxJ4UsBP0VgImbuAI.gif) ), it'll probably come out later this month. I'm too lazy to type my reasons, sue me. I had giant blocks of text for each one that I'm not writing down again. However, I'll edit my post with the reasons later once it comes out since it's January already. But I will list my favorites for now and add more later in order: 1. Dovewing (Article's not out, but here's an article I made on Dovewing being the third cat if it counts; wrote it in 7th grade and yet I managed to change some people's minds :0) 2. Violetshine (Article's not out, but I did make basically a VioletxTree article in but I don't think it's as well executed and just 3. Twigbranch 4. Hazeltail 5. Nightcloud 6. Squirrelflight I love Squirrelflight because she's a really strong cat for one. She's grown and matured since TNP, and has shown patience and kindness through her stubborn exterior. She was a really good mother to Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, and Lionblaze, and I really felt bad for her after the secret was revealed. Squirrelflight lost a lot, her kits, her mate, and maybe even respect from her Clanmates because of Leafpool's mistake. And yet she pulled through it all, and is a good deputy because of her experience. I'm really excited for Squirrelflight's Hope tbh, although I don't want Squirrelflight to be leader since I feel like it'd take away from her character like Bramblestar (not like he really had character to begin with since TNP; my opinion). 7. Violet Dawn Violet Dawn is one of my favorites, sometimes she's switches places with Squirrelflight and others she doesn't. But why? Because she's a background character that really spoke out to me. From her first introduction, she was pressured into being Slash's mate after Rain's (deceased mate) death. She stood up to him and said no, which I personally thought was admirable since some cats probably would give in out of fear. From this I can gather that Violet Dawn is a strong cat who stands up for what she wants (well most of the time from what we're given). She's shown to be caring for other cats and very sweet, which I really like the more soft-sided characters instead of the feisty ones, ya know? And I could call her naive and overly trusting of some cats, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing like how Dovewing's stubbornness can be both good and bad. Violet Dawn just really appeals to me. And her backstory is unknown, which is the perfect opportunity for an SE. I swear if we don't get one, then I'm writing a fanfiction cause I will be salty about it for weeks. 8. Lilyheart Even if she's a background character, I just love her sweet personality so much...she's gone through a lot when taking BrS (I was tempted to type BS if you get what I mean) into account. Lilyheart really deserves the -heart suffix, unlike some cats I could list (Alderheart really should've been named Alderblaze or Alderleaf tbh). I also loved her being Twigbranch's adoptive mother; Lilyheart such a wonderful cat that deserves to get an apprentice. Maybe in TBC she'll get an apprentice; maybe it could be a main POV (but I would prefer Berrynose). 9. Hollyleaf/Tree (It depends on my mood, just a slight preference that changes a lot) As for Hollyleaf:Obvious reasons, but Hollyleaf was such a well written main POV that I'm still salty about getting killed off. She honestly would've been an awesome leader or an awesome villain if done right. Her choices were not the best, and she ended up paying her debt for killing Ashfur, trying to force Leafpool to eat deathberries, telling the secret at the Gathering, etc with her life. Also, I'd call her a very caring sister, all except that part when she ran into the tunnels. As for Tree:I honestly don't get the hate/dislike for him. He's a pretty chill cat who doesn't really want to get involved in Clan affairs, which I get. However, spending time with Violetshine helped him grow to like the Clans and develop a desire to stay. He's also able to see both sides of an argument and seems to just want the Clans to live in peace, which I can definitely agree with. Like with the ShadowClan and SkyClan dispute, he saw both sides and tried to do his job, but both SkyClan and ShadowClan (mainly SkyClan) pushed him away and that probably made him feel useless and at least cause a spark of resentment towards them both for it. Tree also isn't pushy towards any other cat and won't use gross manipulation on someone just because he doesn't get what he wants (you know who I'm talking about). With Violetshine, he loves her dearly but if she wants to stay with SkyClan, he won't hurt her for wanting to be with them. He respects her decisions. I just find him relatable tbh. 10. Berrynose/Rowanstar/Ravenpaw (eh...it depends on my mood tbh) As for Berrynose:Background character with development and a consistent personality. He's a loving father to Molewhisker and Cherryfall and loving mate to both Honeyfern and Poppyfrost. Despite his snarky tendances, he's loyal to ThunderClan on multiple occasions and has matured a lot since Power of Three: The Sight and all the way to A Vision of Shadows: The Raging Storm. But man does that make me realize that he's getting pretty old...my fingers are crossed for another BerryxPoppy litter and/or an apprentice for him in TBC. Even better if he mentors one of the protagonists for TBC or is the father to them. Now that would be glorious to see. As for Rowanstar:Really deserved better. He was the only truly peaceful leader of ShadowClan and his Clan (except for Tawnypelt and Tigerheart) just ditched him for Darktail and his Kin. All because he seemed "weak" and that he never wanted to start unnecessary battles with other Clans. He only had his son and mate left because of his unloyal Clanmates. Rowanstar should've been portrayed as a strong leader afterwards, but *le sigh*. I'm fine with Tigerstar II, I like him even, I just wish Rowanstar stayed leader instead, and have Tigerheart become leader in TBC instead. However, Rowanstar's death was so satisfying with his sacrifice to save his mate and the kits of a rogue and a cat who betrayed him in the past. He deserved so much better. Thanks to Needletail, he had to suffer so much (I'm more neutral on her but she started the spark of rebellion in the apprentices which led to the downfall of ShadowClan). Thank you Needletail, for your wise and brave decisions. (Sarcasm if you couldn't tell.) As for Ravenpaw:
He's been one of my favorites of the first arc ever since I began reading in 4th grade. I've always related to his frightfulness, and I loved his development throughout the arc. I especially loved how he was considered to be wise (to an extent) by Brambleclaw when he went to Ravenpaw for advice on his vision. It's really nice to see how far he's grown since then. He's legit a main character in my TPB SkyClan AU. 'Nuf said. I'll edit 6-10, but 1-5 stay blank because I'm too lazy to type big blocks of text atm. And also, Moonblazer has changed my mind on Rowanstar and Berrynose. I actually used to dislike both, and now I love them thanks to them.

Littlecloud is my favorite because he’s incredibly consistent and above all, everything I aspire to be. Caring, undoubtedly loyal to the ones I love, and fair and willing to admit needing help. He’s just such a wonderful friend to everyone he cares about, and served his clan through the darkest times. He was so proud of himself and happy to give up warriorhood to become a medicine cat because he knew he needed to save his clan.
Littlecloud and Cinderpelt singlehandedly saved Shadowclan back then, and when she died, Littlecloud refused to sully her name and told his clan that he would always honor and care for the clan she loved simply because he loved her like a sister. He never forgot her actions and never once spoke ill of her, and cared about the cats she cared about.
He was just so good. So freaking good.

Honestly, Crookedstar. He’s my hero. He lost everything yet still had hope and courage to move on. He could see that there was still joy in life and no matter how bad it got he could find reasons to live and do good. And I found it incredibly satisfying when he told off Mapleshade. In general I related to him a lot.

I love Squirrelflight for her feisty personality and her devotion to Leafpool. I wish she became leader instead of Bramblestar.

I loved Bramblestar a ton in TNP because I could relate to him in his ambition, and because I started with TNP instead of TPB, his father’s atrocities became a grand mystery until I read the first arc. Especially as a kid, I tend(ed) to latch onto a very small and specific set of characters and it’s extremely difficult to get me to hate them. Bramble happened to be that character in Warriors, and he reminded me a bit of some of the characters I used to make up with my sister when we still played with stuffed animals.

Not gonna write about Hollyleaf because she's a fan favorite, but I will write about Twigbranch because she's my second favorite.
I love Twigbranch because of how relatable she is. As a kit, she feared being kicked out because of her uselessness and wanting to prove how she wasn't created an anxiety which only worsened by falling into the lake. This probably contributed in the ever-growing image she had of a perfect family, that those she shared blood with wouldn't judge her because they shared blood. So, when Violetpaw attacked her, her only known relative at the time, it shocked her and it pushed her to an edge and so, when she found out Bramblestar wasn't going to send out a patrol to search-and-rescue what were the remnants of her kin (dying out, no less), this good-for-nothing, rule-breaking, clumsy apprentice sought out to find SkyClan. She was determined and that's one of her many qualities that I admire. When she found SkyClan and returned to the lake and joined them along with Violetpaw, it felt like a dream come true, but you don't realize how much you're truly letting go until it's actually gone. She leaves, but is set in keeping her bonds with her family, even if it means loving them from a distance.
Twigbranch is a lot like Firestar, in the aspect that she will do anything as long she believes it to be right, no matter the consequence. Personal motive is only one of the reasons why she does the things she does. She rescued SkyClan; she tended to ShadowClan's sickly; she cheered Finpaw on when he was battling his own inner demons; she went to the Moonpool to see if she could help in some way; she helped to restore ShadowClan; she rescued SkyClan yet again. These were all done with the best of intentions.
She may be whiny and annoying to some, but she is also a determined, loving, and passionate young cat. She is able to hold her own and she isn't one to give in to the surrounding pressure. I was proud of her for actually attempting to follow the rules in the sixth book. It shows that she's grown. Her development is realistic. It's gradual, subtle, but there.
She's firm in her beliefs and no matter the obstacles thrown in her way, she always overcomes them and I can't wait to see her return in the next arc.

I used to have a thing for Hollyleaf way back on the old forums and would defend her to anyone who would listen, but like someone else said on this thread, she’s already a fan favorite so I’ll skip her.
Thornclaw’s my second favorite when we’re talking about background characters because 1) he’s the Patrol Guy 2) he’s insanely loyal to his Clan. He’s also one of the only background characters who has any kind of personality left in him... at least I think so.
My third and last favorite is Spottedleaf. She has a really pretty character design and always held a little bit of mystique to me being apart of the original ranks of ThunderClan in Into the Wild when Firestar first joined the forest.
