According to Molepelt, Brokenstar was always meant to be evil, so if we take his words as truth, they probably would've just delayed the inevitable. The kits would've still been raised by Lizardstripe, who was a big influence in how Brokenstar turned out. Yellowfang wasn't allowed to be a mother to him, and the closest thing he had to a positive influence in his life was Raggedstar, but we all know how that turned out.

Like Mothflight said, Brokenstar would of been exile no matter what.
It's not impossible for Wishkit and Hopekit to survive, though it's would be tough. Since 3 or 4 kits is considered a large litter in the series, a single cat may not be able to handle 6 kits alone and have them all survive. A Caring Queen would probably struggle, either due to lack of milk or not able to give enough attention to each one. And the chances get even slimmer when we take into account it would be Lizardstripe needing to look after them. She hated needing to adopt only 1 kit, on top of her own unwanted kittens, physically and verbally abusing him. So I can't imagine how bad it would be if Lizardstripe needed to take care of two more. Probably flat-out refusing to take Yellowfang's litter or Lizardstripe's abusive behaviour would lead to the death of a kit if the previous factors haven't already done it.
Depending on which kit dies due to Lizardstripe being overstretched, different things would happen: If it was Runningkit, Yellowfang would either have a different apprentice or not have at all. The same effect could happen if Runningkit's littermates, Deerkit or Tanglekit were to die. Even with Runningkit alive, his littermate(s) could put him off ever taking the Medicine cat position in the first place. Another option, is that a former Queen could return to the Nursery to raise them like Poolcloud, Brightflower etc. Though it unclear if they could start producing milk quickly enough without nursing biological kits of their own.
Or, Yellowfang would be forced out of hiding to feed her kits herself. As Featherstorm was allowed to get away with mating with Hal, I don't think Yellowfang would be severely punished. Maybe losing her rank as Medicine cat at most. Raggedpelt may also lose his rank as Deputy as well for being mates with a Medicine cat. So by the time of Into the Wild, Shadowclan would probably have entirely different Leader and maybe Medicine cat if Yellowfang differently return later on.
If Raggedpelt remains deputy, there's still a good chance Brokentail could still become Leader, though with more with of a contest. Raggedstar would certainly choose one of his kits, though he's more likely to favour one of his daughters who ain't destined to be evil. With Brokentail never being in power, either it's a littermate or unrelated clanmate instead, he may try to cause a rebellion, however since he would have no entitlement to the Leadership position, he'd wouldn't have enough supporters. Brokentail would be reduced to an overly aggressive warrior like Mudclaw or Thistleclaw or killed/exiled if he still attempted crimes to become Leader.
If Brokentail never become Leader of Shadowclan: Yellowfang wouldn't be exiled. Shadowclan would have more members without all their kits dying. Spottedleaf would be lived longer. Brokenstar's followers wouldn't be exiled (If they didn't rebel). Clawface wouldn't be killed.
If Brokentail did have a shot in becoming deputy through Raggedstar or his littermates - He would attempt to kill to his littermates like Raggedstar, only with more victims. Yellowfang may of killed Brokenstar earlier due to that, like when she blinded him. Without Brokenstar's connection/rouges, Tigerclaw would need to find another way to kill Bluestar, which this may successful. Tigerclaw being Thunderclan's leader is a whole can of worms in itself, so I won't be going into that. Or still be exiled but without his Shadowclan connections can't join them and remains a rogue.
Without the threat of Brokenstar, Bluestar may of never felt forced to accept Rusty.
