Windfern awakes in the middle of the night, startled to see Minnowsong floating above her. Windfern asks why such an evil cat would want to see her, and Minnowsong says that Minnow was not her. Unconvinced, Windfern tries to awaken, but Minnowsong sends her a prophecy. The silver cat many may be wary of, but breezy fronds of the sweeping willow above the trickling brook, will bring them back to peace.

Meanwhile, the Clan begin to fear of Minnowkit being simislar to Minnowaong, and shy away from her. The she cat begins to feel upset, however Breezepaw and Frondpaw defend her. The Clan becomes even more confused when Bramble returns to the Clan and Snowstar proclaims her as the “most loyal warrior a leader could ask for” despite exiling her twice in the past. The Clan remains suspicious that the murderer of the warriors is Bramble, however unusually, they pin the murder of Sootkit on Minnowkit, a horrified Willowpaw and Breezepaw try to prove their friend was with them at that time of the murder, but the Clan are having none of it, saying she is a reincarnation of Minnowsong. It is then that Windfern attempts to step up to tell them all that it wasn’t Minnowsong who was Minnow, but it was another cat who pinned it on her. However she is pushed out the crowd, and the Clan go against Windfern, Breezepaw, Willowpaw and Minnowkit. Apart from Simon who decides to try and sort out the situation. Wanting to prove everyone wrong, the small group plot in the night at what proof they have. Snowpaw goes missing. Greywind goes out to look for her. A horrified Greywind comes back with Snowpaw's body. It appears someone killed her harshly. Snowstar makes an announcement that no apprentice goes out of camp alone, and they must go with a warrior, under all means. RP: "Snowstar!" A voice calls from the entrance. It's Greywind. "You need to see this!" Snowstar leaps off the High Hill to see what was going on. Greywind is looming over Snowpaw's body, trembling. It's barely a body, just a bloody bundle of ginger and white fur. Snowstar slowly shakes her head. Greywind's eyes are lit up with dread and grief. A crowd soon gathers in silence, and the senior warriors take her to her vigil. Stormsong tries her best to clean her, draping her in lovely lavender scent, but it was unmistakable that she has been murdered. Snowstar leaps up onto the High Hill. "All cats old enough to capture their own prey gather beneath the High Hill for a Clan meeting!" She yowls, and the cats sit in front of the Hill in silence, except a few whispers. "As you know, we have lost an apprentice. This will not be acceptable for our other apprentices. From now on, no apprentice leaves camp without a warrior, under all circumstances. Is that clear?" All the cats below nodded, and Snowpaw's family solemnly lay down beside her body for the vigil. Snowstar dies of old age, surrounded by her kits and her brother, Simon. She has lived for generations, and is over 120 moons old. As she lays dying, the brown tabby figure of the Doctor appears at the entrance to her den. RP section: "You came..." Snowstar breathes, her elderly, green eyes lighting up, much as the Doctor saw them when she was simply Snowheart.
"I promised I would," He replies. The tom settles next to her, sitting between Simon and Agelessheart. The two toms dip their heads in honour - this cat has helped them all through terrible times.
"Will you help the Clan? When I'm gone?" Snowstar asks. She's getting weaker with each passing moment.
"Of course," The Doctor says. "I'll help guide Simon, too. I'll guide your kits, and your grandkits, and your great-grandkits. AspenClan will be safe as long as I live."
"What brought you here?" Snowstar asks suddenly. "What force guided you here originally, bound you to protect this Clan?"
"I don't know," The Doctor admits. "But I know that I'll see you again, Snowstar. In StarClan."
Snowstar smiles deeply, her eyes hooded. All four cats stood around her huddle close to her. Snowstar's time has come.
"Goodbye."

The next morning, the Doctor leaves as quickly as he came.
"You'll see me again," The Doctor promises Simon. "Not looking like this, but again. Guide your Clan through the times ahead - and watch out for Flutterheart." He smiles suddenly. "She'll be brilliant."
He pauses for a moment, before speaking again. "Be a good leader, Simon. Goodbye."
With that, he leaves the camp. As Simon, Bravestorm, and Agelessheart watch him go, they remind themselves of one thing - AspenClan will always have Snowstar, and the Doctor, watching over it.

No matter what, RoseClan can never leave well enough alone!
An apprentice and his similar young companions race away and plead to hide in AspenClan. As Monsterowl had spilled enough blood to take control of the Clan, and in turn had broken the rule of kits apprenticing too soon.
Some of the apprentices are so small, their bodies shiver in the late night air and threaten to push them over whenever they dare stand in the open. Others bigger were carrying kits that the queens have smuggled to out for their safety.
The clan is alerted and takes the cats in, letting them remain in the empty Elder's den for now.

Bellyblossom rejoins the warriors, and with thought had come to the conclusion that this recent influx of young cats means she must go back to her birth Clan to take care of her uncle. "Even if we can, there has been no signs from StarClan for you to do this!"

A she cat joins the Clan. Minnowkit, Breezepaw And Willowpaw remain suspicious about her, as she seems familiar. The she cat seems to get along well with Bramble. Fern tires to get involved with Simon and his leadership, but the tom ignores it. Wrenpaw thinks the more recent deaths have been the result of Monsterowl leaving behind bodies as a way to scare and guilt the young cats. Bellyblossom pulls in the apprentices, Agelessheart, Sproutwhim, Simon, and Flysnow to figure out a plan to draw out Monsterowl, saying that she wants to take on her uncle on her own.
Trickle, Wish, and Plush overhear and tell the RoseClan kits about the plan, exciting Peppermintkit, and Bluekit but worrying Windfern.
