question about the unofficial forums?

This feels so weird to be posting honestly. I'm sure a lot of you can relate--I was on both versions of the old forums way back when, up until the forums officially closed. When the announcement came that the forums were closing, I sort of just left. I tend to avoid things when I'm faced with change or things that make me sad, go figure. Long story short, I was feeling heavy nostalgia for the forums tonight and searched for them on a whim. I knew I wasn't going to find the old ones, but finding this new unofficial forums caught me completely off guard. I'm happy, but I'm also feeling sort of hesitant.

Anyway, I sort of wanted to ask because I went MIA on all things warrior cats after the official forums closed--how did the unofficial forums come about? When and how did it start? Because this is pretty great, and I wish I would've found this earlier.

Btw, for anyone who cares or on the completely slim chance anyone from the old forums recognizes me, I had three different accounts that I sort of started over with one after the other. The first was whitepoppy, the second was dappledrose<3 in some sort of fancy font, and the third is the current one I'm using again, embercurse (also in random fancy font on the old sites). My haunts were usually the WFC and OTRP.

So yeah, that's it. ^^' Thanks for clicking and reading and allowing me to soak in the nostalgia.
