I just don't like how Sol became a villain. Because Leafstar told him to wait? Boo hoo. She said (from my memory, I haven't read the manga in years) that he'd make a promising warrior with the right training, and he wanted the full name right away. Since then, he put innocent lives in danger just because he's impatient.
I find him rather pathetic, tbh, and if Sol comes back, I'm going to flip a table. Sol's gone. Hollyleaf kicked him out and she would have killed him right on the spot - but chose not to. Sol knows that he failed twice to destroy the Clans. If he comes back and tries to do the same, he will only fail.
I don't want Sol back. We need new villains!

he may have failed before but this time he has vicious rogues who can do his dirty work for him maybe pull a string or two, which he is capable of doing. what i don't like is how i always got the impression some cats were being dumbed down to make it easier for them to be manipulated and thus make Sol look even more threatening. and even then he only managed to disassemble a Clan for a few chapters and cause the Thunder vs Wind battle in the tunnels.

I liked how Sol wasn't the typical "hitler" villain. He was the only villain who, until then, attacked ShadowClan at it's roots: StarClan, quickly causing damage to their belief in the warrior code and everything that kept their clan alive. If he hadn't been stopped he could have taken over all the clans without having to raise a single claw.
The whole SkyClan and WindClan thing was trash though, I admit that.

Sol is rather petty. It was only thanks to Midnight that he managed to cause any kind of damage to the Clans.
Without his knowledge of the Clans, he would've been chased out of the territory immediately.

We don't really know if he was telling the truth, though. Sol has no problem lying to cats.
However, if it was his backstory, he is pretty petty, but then again, so are most villains.

I liked him as a villain but I agree about his backstory. It was totally lame and should've been much cooler! I liked how he presented himself to the clans as a prophet of sorts (especially with his name lol)

If Sol does come back, I want him to be aligned with Darktail. Then, when the Clans are at their weakest, Sol could go on a rant about how he's at the top now only to be killed by Darktail for simply annoying him. It'd be a fitting end and I think it would be realistic for Sol to go off his rocker in the end.

I liked him before they threw in his weak backstory.

I think that Darktail killing Sol in the end would prove that a vicious killer is more powerful than the faux prophet of the Clans, and would be a fitting way to go. However, part of me thinks that if the Erins do bring him him back, Sol would eventually will have to side with the Clans against Darktail and his rogues. His persuasion skills would be effective at trying to stop Darktail, but would end up going badly, thus Darktail kills Sol end the end.

He was in the SkyClan manga. Yes, but he was telling Leafstar his backstory in first person. He could have easily been lying to gain sympathy.

His back story seemed weak to me too.

I like to think he was lying for sympathy...but knowing the series it's almost certainly true
