Hidden well in the shadows of a few alleyways, Revy’s tail flicked languidly as he listened to Dragonfly’s sultry gossip. Revy’s claws released from the juicy squirrel he had hunted in good favor of the helpful informant. After all, Revy liked to be in the know as much as he could. Apparently, a new face had come by to talk hush hush with cats from Greaser’s group of followers. Dragonfly’s description of the black she-cat was that she looked incredibly powerful and dangerous.
Inwardly, he hoped it was Spade, and yet Dragonfly’s description did not match her. This strong she-cat had thicker fur, larger paws. Grit in her mew. And she had let the words Skyclan and Thunderclan rasp from her. His father detested the Clans… yet, it seemed that they were not the only ones. If Clan cats were coming towards the city, then Revy had a calculated thought that maybe they could be of use, if Greaser struck them first. Revenge was a strong motivator, after all. Grinning at Dragonfly, he purred.
“You, my dear, are a delight to work with.”
“Not so bad yourself, gorgeous.” Dragonfly flirted, looking Revy up and down as the older tom slid the squirrel over with a long flex of his paw, before slipping back. There was work to do now.

Shade ignored him, having half a mind to leave his tail stuck here. He couldn’t though and he knew it. He still felt loyalty towards his apprentice. He moved around the edge, trying to see if there was a way to move something to get Sparrow out.

He moved around the edge, trying to see if there was a way to move something to get Sparrow out. “That stoic cat, he pushes something in front of the den to close it up, but I’m not sure if there are any guards right now.” Sparrow finally decided to be helpful, hopeful that he could at least get out, so he could run and get Echo before Thunderclan flung into battle.

Nettlepatch looked more and more nervous as they approached the twolegplace border. He willed himself to be calmer. He was leading the patrol after all! He glanced over at Whitesun, "Shall we split into slightly larger groups this time to prevent poisoned prey from going back to our camps?"

Jadefeather nodded once, looking at Whitesun as she offered. “The apprentices should stick together, closer to the border here. Maybe Nettlepatch and Ravenshade could go with them, and the remaining four of us head a bit deeper in to hunt?” She looked at Silvercloud and Arcticbreeze with a tilt of her head.

“That’s a good idea.” Whitesun agreed, giving Nettlepatch a small nod. “We can all meet back up here once we’ve caught enough prey, and we shouldn’t stray too far from each other either.” He added.

Silvercloud padded over to Whitesun and Jadefeather, perferring to stay with her own Clan this hunt.

Nettlepatch dipped his head to the other half of the patrol, smiling encouragingly to Arcticbreeze before he turned to face the apprentices and Ravenshade, "Now, Ivypaw and Hawkpaw. Promise you won't run off okay? Stay with either me or Ravenshade. This is unknown territory for all of us."

Promise you won't run off okay? Stay with either me or Ravenshade. This is unknown territory for all of us." Ivypaw stood stock straight to show he was listening. "Of course!" The last thing he wanted to do was be alone in the Twolegplace. He was overwhelmed with all the new smells and sights already, pelt prickling out.
He reminded himself of why he was here. To help his clan, to hunt and bring back food. He was fairly confident in his hunting skills - he was light, and careful, and quick - but he wasn't sure how he'd compare to Hawkpaw. He felt a rare bubble of competitiveness in his chest as he glanced over at her as nonchalantly as possible, sizing her up.

(Does someone mind reminding me/including in their post some description of the Twolegplace? I'm remembering it as kind of suburbs, but I'm not certain if it's that or more like a city or rural town.)

“Got it!” Hawkpaw mewed, following after the ThunderClan warriors and apprentice after saying a quick goodbye to her parents. “What do we do if we come across any poisoned prey? Do we just bury it?” She asked, glancing around at the many fences that separated them from the twoleg nests.
Arcticbreeze watched her clanmates leave before turning to the three SkyClan warriors, suddenly feeling a bit awkward, “So, uh, where should we go first?” She asked.
Whitesun glanced around the surrounding area briefly before looking at his group, “Let’s try and check out the places that are furthest from the twoleg nests. We might have a better chance of avoiding any prey that has been poisoned the further away we are.” He suggested.

(Does someone mind reminding me/including in their post some description of the Twolegplace? I'm remembering it as kind of suburbs, but I'm not certain if it's that or more like a city or rural town.) The place the patrol is at is more near the outskirts of the twolegplace, so it’s mostly just houses and fences, some are abandoned while others are being lived in. The further you go in, it starts turning into a city like setting and gets bigger and more crowded.)

Silvercloud nodded to the deputy. "That's a good call. I know a few areas I used to hunt at we could try if you want to look there?"

Jadefeather’s bright energy seemed to flicker out ever so slightly at her mate’s suggestion. Each step deeper into Twolegplace got them closer to the city. Even after all these moons, she hated the thought of old ghosts coming back to haunt her. She shook the fear away. She was a Skyclan Warrior. Not a rouge, not anymore. She smiled, nodding once.
“Good idea.”

“Sounds like a plan. Lead the way, Silvercloud.” Whitesun agreed, stepping aside to let the senior warrior take the lead. He fell into step next to his mate, giving her a light nudge. “You alright? It looks like something is bothering you.” He murmured quietly.
Arcticbreeze followed after the SkyClan cats, glad that there was someone who knew their way around this area with them. She shook her uneasiness away and opened her mouth to scent the air, keeping her ears perked for any sounds coming from prey.
Hawkpaw nodded her head, “It smelled more enticing than regular prey, but there was an underlying sickly sweet smell with it too.” She mewed.

She felt a bit of guilt again, of all she had never told him about her kithood and past. When she came to the Clans, even on the brink of Adderclan’s rise, it was still more favorable to the life she would have been expected to have had she stayed. She looked at Whitesun, soft and loving. “I’m okay. It’s always just a bit odd, coming back to these places.”

Nettlepatch's ear flicked to Hawkpaw as she answered correctly, "Sickly sweet is correct." He nodded to his own apprentice, "Remember that okay Ivypaw?" His voice was gentle as he corrected the apprentice. "Now let's get going, we won't move too far away but I don't scent any prey directly around here. Which way would you two like to go?"

Silvercloud swiftly led the way through the twoleggednests until they opened up to a cul-de-sac where development was abandoned. She slowed and nodded curtly to herself, a bit surprised she remembered the way. "This place was always reliable. Whenever I couldn't find something to hunt, I came here." She looked back at her clanmates. "It should be perfect for what we need."

Whitesun nodded in agreement to Jadefeather’s statement, glancing around at the abandoned area. “This is perfect, Silvercloud.” He mewed, turning back to the senior warrior, “Shall we then? I’m picking up a mouse scent trail going that way.”
“And I can scent a couple birds in that direction,” Arcticbreeze chimed in, pointing her nose a few tail-lengths away from where Whitesun’s mouse was. “I can go after the birds if that’s alright.”

You go get that mouse. I’ve got no doubt in you, ever.” She purred, before turning to look at the younger she-cat, still feeling a sense of familiarity in her. She really did look so much like… Jadefeather shook her head. Arcticbreeze was Shadowblossom’s sister, from what she recalled. Jadefeather’s mother was a street-born, and street-loving rogue. Ignoring the memory, she padded onwards.

Whitesun gave a soft purr, giving Jadefeather’s cheek a quick lick before he set off after the mouse, dropping into a hunting crouch as he got closer to it.
Arcticbreeze gave Jadefeather a small smile as they started towards the birds, “I think there’s only a couple, so it should be pretty easy for the two of us.” She mewed quietly.

I know I look short compared to my Clanmates, but I’m every bit a bird catcher as any clanborn Skyclan cat.” Jadefeather assured, easily leaping up onto a root to slip into the overgrown vegetation clinging to a twoleg nest wall. She nodded. “Spook one over to me, and I’ll catch it with a leap.”

His voice was gentle as he corrected the apprentice. "Now let's get going, we won't move too far away but I don't scent any prey directly around here. Which way would you two like to go?" Ivypaw ducked his head, ashamed despite his mentor's gentleness. A mistake like that could have cost the life of one of his clanmates. And making a mistake like that in front of another clan reflected poorly on Thunderclan. He'd have to be better than that. "Of course, I won't forget," he said.
After a deep breath, he looked around, considering which way to go. It was odd looking here, with what he could only conceptualize as thin, tightly packed trees creating obstacles. It seemed like they could go around or even over them, though, so he didn't think it would be too much of an issue. He scented the air, trying to pick out prey but only picking out the faintest smell of something enticing. It smelled like prey, but not like prey. Like smoke, but not like smoke. He didn't hear any fire either, so he wasn't too startled, just curious.
"What's that smell?" he asked Nettlepatch. It seemed to be coming from behind one of the barriers.
