“You know them more than you think. They all had your sense of wonder, and dedication. Dreamlily is kind and gentle, with a loving heart. Whisperstone is level-headed and clever, a true thinker… and Echowing is… she was a force of nature. Nothing could stop her from accomplishing what she wanted to do, for Skyclan. Everytime I looked at them, it was like seeing you, and all I could do was love them for the both of us.” Frostyfoot mewed softly, heart aching in his chest. “Skyflight mentored Whisperstone. She’s one of Skyclan’s most respected Warriors. Dreamlily was mentored by Nightsky, and they both had a whimsical air to the way they interacted. And Echowing, her mentor was Swallowsong… losing her, I think it pained Echowing more than she ever could admit. She loved her, deeply.” Opalmist nodded, eyes watering as she learned more of the kits she had barely known, though she had loved all the same. "Losing Icefire was hard, even though she wasn't my mentor for very long. I can't imagine the pain I would feel if I had lost Snowdance." she murmured softly. "I hope Echowing is able to find peace, perhaps she will feel like she belongs more with us gone. I can't bear the thought of her hating herself." “The tragedy is how little she thought of herself. Oh, Opalmist, she was always prodigal, worked so hard, she wouldn’t have been seen as lesser, I just know it.” Frostyfoot sighed. “But I suppose nothing can change a mind that’s made up. I hope our leave has brought her peace too.” He blinked. “Now. Your turn… because I want to know all I can about your incredible skills.” He praised warmly.

Opalmist licked her chest, looking shy as he asked. "Oh.. I don't think I was a very good medicine cat to be honest. I broke the code after all." she mewed softly. "Snowdance taught me everything their is to know though, and there was a lot to do after we lost so many clanmates in the fire. So many burns to put salve on, aches to treat, wounds to patch up. We had very little herbs to do so though, and many of our clanmates have scars to prove it."

The codes were always too strict on controlling who we could love. You did great work, whether you had kits or a mate or not.” Frostyfoot argued, knowing how much she loved her work. “I don’t regret seeing you continue as a medicine cat. Seeing you happy, nothing could compare. Nothing.” He mewed, eyes flashing with passion.

Captain twitched his whiskers. Some of these loners and city cats really knew how to rub his fur the wrong way, but he agreed with Fiona. It wasn't his place to judge, he supposed. "Well, let's be thankful we three escaped unscathed at least, hm?"

"Well, let's be thankful we three escaped unscathed at least, hm?" "Thankful indeed! Another day livin' is another day alive!" Fiona chirped brightly, tail curling as she purred. Lybex was far less enthusiastic, but she shrugged lightly in agreement with the kittypet. "Yes... you could say that."

Nightmare frowned at her failed attempt to trip Harlow up and jumped back to Rocco’s side. “Farland is right. We need to work together.” She grumbled with a lash of her tail. Nightmare eyed her siblings for a moment before leaning closer to Rocco and whispering quietly to him, “If you can distract them for a few moments, I can come in from behind and trip one of them up. Just keep their attention on you and off me, sound like a plan?” "Sounds good to me!" Rocco grinned, quickly shifting his face so that he focused back on Harlow and Shadow. He gave a lift of his muzzle, challenging. "I bet I could take you both on here by myself and still stay standing on my paws." "Hmph!" Harlow glared at the challenge, ignoring Shadow's whispered call to wait a moment, before she was already making a lunge for the tom. With no option but to follow lead, Shadow darted in to join his sister on the team strike. Nightmare slipped back now that her sibling’s full attention was on Rocco and circled around, making sure to stay out of their line of sight. Now that both Shadow and Harlow were distracted, it gave her plenty of opportunities to strike from behind. Nightmare waited for the right moment before lunging at Shadow’s unprotected back legs, aiming her front paws to sweep them out from under him.

Chaos padded towards the prisoner’s den in Greaser’s hideout, carrying a mouse. He came to a stop once he reached the entrance and gave a flick of his tail to the guards to move the scrap of metal blocking the entrance. Once it was clear, Chaos stepped inside and dropped the mouse and pushed it towards Sparrow. “Eat.” He said before he started backing back out of the entrance.

Once it was clear, Chaos stepped inside and dropped the mouse and pushed it towards Sparrow. “Eat.” He said before he started backing back out of the entrance. Sparrow scoffed at the prey, brow lifted as he sneered. “You really think that I’m going to trust any prey you bring me?” He rolled his eyes, glancing at the mouse. “Took you all day to catch it, I bet. Tell your leader to take a fat bite of my hindquarters.” He taunted.

Chaos glanced at Sparrow, unfazed by his sharp words, “Why would we bother keeping you alive if we were only going to poison you later?” He stated with a shrug, “If we wanted to kill you, it would have already been done. Eat, don’t eat. I don’t care what you do.” He added, continuing on his way.

Eat, don’t eat. I don’t care what you do.” He added, continuing on his way. “Who knows why filthy rouges do anything, really! And kill me! Hah! That’s hilarious. Half your cats look skinnier than sticks.” Sparrow called after him, scoffing again at the mouse and kicking it to the side. If he was hungry enough, he’d eat it later. For now, he sighed boredly, hoping that Echo hadn’t been caught. A part of him felt a prickle of nerves. Why would Thunderclan even waste their resources to help him of all cats? Echo was probably chasing a worthless cause.

Sparrow sat silently in his prison for once, now wanting to listen in on as much information as he could. Surely he could see how far these rouges were willing to go to get their paws on his former home. He scowled, eyes narrowing sharply as he tried to listen through the gaps in the monster carcass den.

Chaos eyes the group of cats that was gathered as he waited for Greaser. He scraped his claws against the concrete in anticipation for the upcoming ambush on the clan cats that were hunting in the twolegplace territories. Chaos flicked his ear at the thought of the dark she-cat that had approached Greaser with an offer of information on Lightningstar and his clan in exchange for this attack on the patrol.

Shade slunk his way down next to the prison. He had been watching for a few days and decided to make his way down now that the gang seemed distracted. He moved towards the back of the prison and whispered. “What are you doing here.” He peered through the bars at Sparrow.
Greaser was waiting for the cats to gather. His famous scowl still on his face. He was anxious to get this going.

He moved towards the back of the prison and whispered. “What are you doing here.” He peered through the bars at Sparrow. Greaser was waiting for the cats to gather. His famous scowl still on his face. He was anxious to get this going. Sparrow’s body froze up on instinct at the new voice he heard. As new as it could be, when it was burned into his mind and heart like an ember. Nothing could ever get him to forget that voice. Sparrow’s fur bristled slowly, his claws extending and sinking into the ground as he stared forwards. He didn’t need to face the tom through the gaps to know exactly who it was. “You…” Sparrow started, voice deep with every emotion he could think of, before cool anger replaced it all. “Is this your new plan? To get back at the Clan that you… that we tried to steal?” He knew he couldn’t excuse his own valiant and foolish support he showed Shadeclaw. It was hard not to idolize him, his mentor, the cat who taught him to fight… and yet, Sparrow was no longer a young apprentice. He was no longer hungry for recognition or power. Shadeclaw’s promises had withered away the moment he had sunk his claws into Tigerpaw’s back. “I’m not your follower. Not anymore.” He seethed.

Chaos turned to Greaser after awhile, “I believe everyone is here now.” He said quietly, watching the other tom closely. Chaos had his own reservations about this plan, but he knew better than to voice them at this time.

Shade watched him, seeing the emotions go through his former apprentice. He felt a wave of guilt and averted his eyes from the Tom. “This isn’t my plan.” He spoke. “I’m not apart of this group.. I don’t do this anymore.” He turned to look at him. “I came to see what you were doing here.”
Greaser nodded and stood to jump up to the highest junk pile. “Gather to me.” He shouted. “It is finally time to strike against our enemies! We’ve gotten word an enemy patrol will be close to our territory today.”

We’ve gotten word an enemy patrol will be close to our territory today.” “I thought I’d just enjoy my time here in this lovely den of monster shells.” Sparrow seethed, a vicious sarcasm streaming from his jaws as he finally turned to face his former mentor for the first time in a long time. “Thought I’d take a stroll around the bend, what do you think I’m doing here?” He kicked the measly half-eaten mouse that Chaos had brought him over to the gaps in the wall. “The hospitality is SO nice!” He rolled his eyes angrily, before he suddenly stopped, able to faintly hear Greaser’s words. He seethed. “Hush! Shut up, I need to hear it. What’s he saying?” He rushed over to the side of the den to try and hear better.

Seated below the junk pile, a brown tabby tom looked dutifully up at Greaser. Jax’s eyes shone with determination to see Greaser’s orders through. He could see that Manx was excited to fight, judging by how the smaller, cream-colored tom’s claws dug into the ground. The strange black she-cat that had given them such detailed information about Thunderclan had only stated that they merely had to strike a small patrol coming around that had some Thunderclan cats present. Kill as much of the patrol as possible, but leave the youngest cat alive to tell her Clan.
That should be easy enough. The Clans were the ones trespassing this time. They’d pay the price for it.

“They’re going to attack Thunderclan.” Shade spoke. “No need to hear cause you can’t do anything.” He spoke. “I guess Thunderclan is doing patrols in the twoleg place.” He shrugged. “I meant what are you doing away from Thunderclan. Why are you captured by this lot.”

Why are you captured by this lot.” “I can at least try and do something! Unlike you, I’d like to do what I can to make it up to Thunderclan… even if I left.” Sparrow shot tightly back at Shade, ears falling as he mewed. “When I realized that all your words and promises were wrong, I knew I couldn’t stay, not until I learned how to make my own decisions instead of blindly worshipping yours.” His eyes narrowed as he lifted his chin. “And I have now. Which is why I am going to do what I can to help Echo out. I’m here because I gave her time to flee. She is… a friend.” He decided, realizing how genuine he was in that deduction. He snorted. “And what are you doing here? I thought you’d be long gone. Hoped you’d been hit by a monster.” He muttered, knowing the words were immature, but his moons of anger had built up to this moment, one he had feared.

After what you did?! You banished elders into the cold. You threw Hollowkit out like crowfood! You put your claws on MY brother! He was a kit! And for what? For power? You didn’t even get nine lives, you didn’t succeed!” Sparrow ranted, letting everything out, before forcing himself to calm down as much as he could. “And I… I let you. I supported you. I can’t possibly be forgiven for that, what makes you think either of us can be forgiven, huh?” He demanded, before he kicked a stray piece of metal across the den floor, the anger he felt turning into a pained ache. “I really believed in you, you know? You were everything to me. I wanted to be just like you, because I thought you were strong, and brave… I thought you would change everything for the sake of us, maybe selfishly for me, but all you did it for was yourself…”

“Yes I remember.” Shade snapped back at his former apprentice. “I know what I did and I know it was wrong.” He spoke. “You don’t understand what was happening and how manipulated I was.” Shade looked away. “You were just my apprentice. No one would blame you for having believed in me.” He shook his head.

Poor, poor Shadeclaw!” Sparrow mocked with a whimpering tone, before his eyes narrowed once more and he hissed deeply. “Even if nobody blamed me, I will always blame myself. I should have known better than to ever look up to you.” He let the words go in a moment of cold silence, before he turned his back. “Unless you have a way to get me out, Thunderclan very well could be sending a patrol out to help me, if Echo is as persuasive as she seems. As much as I’d love to stay here and claw up this rat-infested group, I’m a little outnumbered here.” He snorted coldly. “I’d also pray that you’re nowhere near Bloom and Cricket. You’ve already terrified and hurt them enough to flee from you and the Clan you overtook, the last thing they need is to ever see you again.” He felt protective over the two, and the kits he helped sneak out of Thunderclan so Bloompelt could be happy with Cricketsun.

Shade looked away bitterly. It was clear Sparrow wanted nothing to do with him. Conflict brewed inside of him. He wanted to save him but selfishly also wanted to leave him. The old part of him felt Sparrow should be begging him for help. Instead Sparrow seemed content to stay if it meant Shade was gone. “I told you I don’t do that anymore.” He growled softly before turning back to look at him. “So quit complaining. So what I manipulated you. You weren’t the only one. Get over it so we can figure out a way to get you out.” He snapped.

I’m sure you still keep count.” Sparrow sneered, attitude still as ferocious as ever. As soon as he got out of here, he would ditch Shadeclaw, and hopefully never see him again. He forced himself to play along, needing a way out. “But I’ll play nice. How does that sound. Just this once. Now are you going to find an opening for me, or are you just here for a stroll?” He scoffed, padding closer to his former mentor so he could see through the gaps in the den wall.
