I never really paid attention to Bluestar, but I was watching a MAP about her, and it made me realize how much I actually love her as a character. Mosskit’s death was definitely emotional, as Bluestar’s herself was too. I didn’t like when she went mad as such, but she’s a well developed character and I appreciate her.

I love Bluestar. She's amazing but flawed and... such a good character. Her descent into madness was awesome to read about and done pretty well! Bluestar's prophesy was a banger of a book and my favourite SE!

Not a fan of her tbh. Her SE didn't make things better either.

If I would have an opinion of her only in the first arc, I would be neutral, but with her in starclan and the huge amount of bias that she have in her SE I can say that I dislike her, she never did anything to deserve the deputy position, only got there because Sunstar was her mentor.

I like Bluestar! She's like my favorite crazy aunt, lol. In all seriousness, I liked the relationship between her and Firestar, and after reading her SE I just grew to like her even more. I can see why some may not be a fan, but Bluestar is one of the more well-developed characters in the series, and they can't really argue with that.

I think she's an okay character. Her super edition was pretty decent, and she was a good leader (up until near the end of her life, that is).

I liked her. She was a very well developed character. Better than most of the characters in POT and OOTS.

I don't care for her, he ideologies always bugged me, she's also a big hypocrite, honestly, her SE ruined her character for me, and I'm still not over her idiocy concerning her treatment of Brightheart. I only really tolerate her because she's not as relevant anymore, and I liked her Little Pistol Animation by Nifty.

Puzzlii kind of sums up my feelings about her. As I got older she kind of drifted from my favourite characters list and them completely drifted into a zone between neutral and dislike. A purgatory in a way, but for my feelings.

As someone who really enjoys complex and morally gray characters, I love Bluestar! I feel as though the Erins did a really good job with her development, and made sure that every decision she made and action she did was in character for who she was and what was going on around her at the time. While I definitely disagree with her on certain things--the Lostface thing being a pretty good example--understanding her as a complex character and as someone who was struggling heavily with her mental illness and the overall weight of her life makes me adore her character and cherish every time she was given a moment in the book. Watching her grow and change as things occured to her was simply fantastic. I wish we had more cats like her and more cats developed as carefully and purposely as her. (I might be a bit biased, as I'm rereading her Super Edition, but honestly, it's one of my favorites. I can't help it.)

A lot of my love for Bluestar comes from childhood nostalgia and seeing her as a mentor/mother figure. I love that aspect of her, but her character was ruined while she was in SC imo. Never read the super edition.

I love Bluestar, and even her SE is wonderful to read since it actually can make me cry cause I can understand Bluestar alot more. She's a strong cat, she had to shut up over her mother's death, and even over her sister's death. People get over grief differently. Yes I understand that her clan needs her and she needs to stop being sad, but it was hard for her since she started to blame herself for her sisters death, her kits death and she also was young at the time her mother died. Her whole life has been painful, and the only faith that pushed her to keep being strong was that her clan needed her and it wasn't really her all her fault for Brightheart's injury and Swiftpaw's death. They decided to go and put themselves in danger to prove that they're good enough to be warriors. I agree that she shouldn't have named Brightheart Lostface, but seeing how broken down and insane she was turning she wasn't thinking right, while Rainflower she was perfectly fine so idk why people are comparing them to each other. Bluestar's mental illness was that bad that she started losing trust in people like Firestar and Whitestorm, but that was mostly because she put her trust in Tigerstar and then he tried to kill her. In the end she said so herself seeing the strong help the weak made her realize that she was being an idiot and probably thought that Thunderclan was better off without her cause she was being dumb those past books and they had Firestar who will save them, so she sacrificed herself as a last thing she'll do for her clan.

I'll probably get flamed for this heh- She had a consistent backstory and was a good character in the early books of the first series. However, I don't like her- she's pretty hypocritical and selfish. She looked down upon Snowfur for taking Thistleclaw as a mate, (despite it not being against the warrior code in any way??) and then she took a Riverclan mate. When she grows insane, although I understand that she had depression and was mentally disturbed. However, that's no excuse to neglect your Clan and accuse your warriors of disloyalty. She gets no better in death and acts like the leader of Starclan and complains about the smallest things. She's an irritating character tbh :/
