Firestar's LionClan, not current day LionClan. Which group is the strongest and would win in a huge battle?
Darktail's group is all the cats in the gorge and let's add loyal members of The Kin. Dark Forest is solely the invasion force in TLH not all. LionClan is solely Firestar's TC and Tallstar's WC combined.
We're just going to pretend there's two Tigerstar 1s, one for TigerClan and one for the Dark Forest.
No alliances. No dodging the fight to come last minute. Who wins?
Bonus points if anyone wants to do some juicy writing.

Yeah, probably Lionclan. Bramblestar’s lives come into play as well as having two clans both with cats who have trained in the Dark Forest and who combine two different fighting styles. Imagine fast Windclan cats darting in and out to disorient the rouges while big Thunderclan cats strike and take the opponents down.

That will be a change in scale because now Darktail’s group is OP. Even so, I still think Lionclan would win it mostly because now we have two leaders with more than one life each, with complete loyalty and control over their clans. Windclan is clearly fighting for their literal lives and will throw everything into it, and Thunderclan still has warriors who are strong and capable. It’ll be close, and Lionclan will lose many numbers, but Firestar and Tallstar alone could easily kill Darktail and break apart the control of the rouges, while still also having Whitestorm and the Windclan deputy who I believe was still Deadfoot be able to take control if Tallstar was taken out.

The Kin was not exactly impressive in terms of numbers of good warriors and lacks good unity or discipline of any kind. They only became a threat at the lake because Shadowclan joined them and they were facing a rather anemic effort from the other three clans.
The Dark Forest invasion force relied a lot on shock and awe and trying to break the will of their enemies with a quick lightning strike. Without kits and queens to target and no element of surprise, however, they are not potent though they'll inflict horrid losses on the more competent teams. They suffer hugely from lack of discipline and loyalty among their conscripts which really blows up in their faces; they should have indoctrinated them more.
Tigerclan is hard to give judgement too since we're not sure just how much Riverclan would fall in line for Tigerstar. However, we know for a fact that if Tigerstar dies, then they immediately break and flee without the slightest bit of further resistance required. That's rather problematic in a huge melee like this, but thankfully for them, Tigerstar likes to lead from the back. Even so, I doubt Riverclan's resolve and Shadowclan's willingness to die for the cause. They liked Tigerstar, sure, but there was always a sensation that they might turn on him if he wasn't bribing constantly.
Bloodclan fights with utter fanaticism and no regard for their own self worth and also seems to have the most swollen numbers of all the cats here given they were considered a good match for the fully formed Lionclan. On the other hand, their morale lives and dies with Scourge, who unfortunately likes to lead from the front and puts himself directly in the fray. On the other hand, Scourge's powerful attacks are sure to be huge demoralizing factors on the enemy. The Bloodclan cats could probably break the Kin just with their initial clash, and I'm not certain the Dark Forest would be able to rally very well against them either. Only Lionclan and Tigerclan have the morale to stand against them, but Tigerclan I think would not be able to succeed due to Tigerstar ending up getting himself killed by an angry Scourge.
Lionclan against Bloodclan is difficult, comparing the heroes of Thunderclan against the numbers and fanaticism of Bloodclan. I think Lionclan would still win as happened in canon, but it'd be vastly bloodier with many, many more cats on the Lionclan side killed by the battle.
EDIT: Wait, is this assuming modern clans? Oh, nevermind then, Bramblestar's an ineffectual leader who cannot commit to hard decisions and Harestar has not yet shown much to impress. While Thunderclan is larger than before, most of them are also far less impressive and their very best are old and out of their prime. There is no real vanguard anymore as with Lionclan in its prime, and I think they won't stand against Bloodclan's power.
Modern Tigerclan would be an utter joke given how Shadowclan's morale has been demonstrated to be so bad that they're liable to switch sides on a dime and Riverclan has not shown much impressive. They might well be weaker than the Kin, that's how pitiful the modern Shadowclan is. They are only slightly better off than a pack of disorganized rogues because Riverclan at least seems better off.

I got BloodClan taking this. Even with all four clans united, BloodClan was winning the battle as Firestar stated before he fought Scourge. And with LionClan and TigerClan being two clans, I think they would get stomped pretty badly. Darktail's group plus The Kin would be strong, however besides Darktail (who isn't that strong), I don't think their cats are as strong as BloodClan's cats. BloodClan cats were raised in the harsher environment of Twolegplace while Darktail's cat I don't think are in an environment as condusive to fighting as BloodClan's. I haven't read AVOS so Darktail's group I'm most unsure of.
The Dark Forest I think just underperformed, there was never a portion they were winning and they couldn't take out clans even when they were divided into different camps.

Was thinking first about modern Firestar LionClan and ThunderClan to separate from those big cat ancient clans. But some people interpreted to be modern as in present day combos. I guess including modern day still could be interesting solely because the new ThunderClan is huge with 3 medicine cats. The Kin was not exactly impressive in terms of numbers of good warriors and lacks good unity or discipline of any kind. They only became a threat at the lake because Shadowclan joined them and they were facing a rather anemic effort from the other three clans. The modern Lionclan just suffers from so many problems compared to the old one. Like, let's just count the best fighters in Thunderclan at the moment. There's Bramblestar, Lionblaze, Ivypool, MAYBE Sparkpelt, and that's really about it. Everyone else is either very old, very green, or not given enough feats. Windclan just flat out has no impressive warriors at all at this point that we know of. Its one advantage is great numbers, which allows it to take the lesser opponents here but doesn't make it Bloodclan's equal.
By comparison, the Darkest Hour era Lionclan had Firestar, Cloudtail, Brightheart, Graystripe, Deadfoot, and Mudclaw to their names along with the resolve of Firestar and Tallstar's good sense. It's practically a gathering of legends, and they don't give in easily. Now them I can see defeating Bloodclan, even if it's while suffering horrid losses. The modern Lionclan, on the other hand, would just bleed and bleed in the face of such a determined foe. They couldn't even make the Kin rout despite having the advantage of superior numbers over them, and the Kin was composed of mostly prisoners who would have terrible morale.

The modern Lionclan, on the other hand, would just bleed and bleed in the face of such a determined foe. They couldn't even make the Kin rout despite having the advantage of superior numbers over them, and the Kin was composed of mostly prisoners who would have terrible morale. also a big factor of LionClan vs BloodClan or BloodClan vs whoever is if and how fast they can beat Scourge. Scourge fleeing in the very beginning was probably purposeful because he knew that he held the clan together. If LionClan is halved, it would take a longer time for Firestar to fight Scourge because there's less cats to take on BloodClan numbers which means more cats Firestar has to fend off and fight. And I believe Scourge knew to not go in quickly to fight ThunderClan, he'd probably be chill with just avoiding him for however long. Also the duration of the beating would be longer and more intense as well because of the fewer cats. We could see double teaming and BloodClan cats just 1v1 were strong. Bone is also a factor, he beat Whitestorm who wasn't even that old back then and I assume still very strong. I can't think of single cats beating Bone and with smaller numbers, teaming on Bone is much, much harder. Also a more wounded and tired Firestar could even lose to Scourge who does his 9 lives slash which I think Firestar barely missed in Canon. So with LionClan vs BloodClan I either see BloodClan just demolishing LionClan or Firestar killing Scourge after so much damage has been done and the rest of BloodClan retreat. I lean more with a BloodClan win because I think Scourge would take advantage of the smaller numbers and may even realize that the strategy might be to just set havoc and then perhaps 9 lives slash a weakened and exhausted Firestar if they meet.

In order of who I think is most to least likely to win BloodClan LionClan The Dark Forest TigerClan The Kin
At the end of the day, I think it really comes down to numbers.

Because the OP mentioned writing it out was okay, here's my impression
-------
The Kin broke within seconds. The ragtag bunch had expected a clean, easy brawl, inexperienced as they were with the ways of the savage forest and Twoleg place cats. Instead they faced cats with terrible, dark silhouettes and fiends with dogs' teeth dangling at their collars. Queen and tom alike scrambled over each other in a frenzied rout, fleeing in all directions. It had taken mere seconds of fighting before their fear scent poisoned the air and Darktail was left alone. The black and white tom alone fought ferociously, calling out insult after insult to his fleeing Kin but they fell upon deaf ears. Dog's teeth scored down his flanks and his cries were cut off as Bone and Brick savagely tore him to pieces just as quickly as his dreams of conquest had faltered.
Elsewhere, Tigerstar faced Tigerstar. One of them glowed with the ebony light of a dead cat while the other fought with Riverclan cats at his side. Though the Dark Forest host was frightening, the living Tigerstar killing the dead Darkstripe in a single blow proved that these ghosts could die. Even so, the fighting was horrendous, with the Dark Forest cats inflicting savage and terrible wounds even as they were driven back. Riverclan in particular cowered from them, and Leopardstar could offer no assurances. After all, she was nothing in Tigerclan. It was only Shadowclan and Tigerstar who held the line even against the fearsome Brokenstar, Mapleshade, and dead Tigerstar. The three remaining Dark Forest cats could put up little challenge, but the dead Tigerstar knew exactly what to say. He taunted his living counterpart, sneering out insults and proclamations of his fate. With a howl of wild rage, the living Tigerstar charged right at him...only to be tripped and then lose his throat at the hands of his dead counterpart. Only then did the dead Tigerstar flee. The living Tigerstar fell into a healing trance...but by the time he woke up, Tigerclan had vanished. The sight of their leader dead had spread discord through the ranks and Leopardstar had seized her chance to flee. He had no time to curse his bad luck before Bloodclan claws fell upon him.
Lionclan fared better, having managed to use the speed of the Windclan cats to charge into the flanks of the Bloodclan group and corral them. However, the Bloodclan cats fought even as they died, their absolute faith in Scourge almost matching that of Lionclan's faith in Starclan. Whitestorm, Onewhisker, and Graystripe had already been killed, and Firestar could see that Tallstar was only just barely able to keep Windclan from fleeing by performing controlled retreats to wheel about Bloodclan and strike their flanks. It was an exhausting maneuver though, and not one they would keep up. They were going to be slaughtered down to the last cat if he could not kill Scourge. He had to kill Scourge. That was Firestar's one thought as he came back from having his skull split open just in time to see Scourge's dog tooth claws flash through the air and tear out Cloudtail's left eye.
"Scourge! Turn and face me!" The little black cat whirled around, obviously shocked. He seemed about to say something when Bone suddenly crashed down next to him, pinning Sandstorm down as she attempted to strike him from the sides. Firestar took advantage of the distraction, jumping forward with all the power of Starclan at his back. "I fight with a leader's nine lives, can you say the same?!" The sight of his flaming pelt in the light gave a second wind to his forces, and in the corner of his vision he could see a blood covered Ashpaw jumping at Bone's neck and leaving Bramblepaw's broken form behind him. Even apprentices were dying so long as this brutal fight went on. Firestar moved as though lightning, avoiding the first blow from Scourge and raking his side with his claws. But Scourge regained his bearings quickly, cocking back his arm in a way Firestar recognized. He lurched backwards, only just barely avoiding a flick like the one that had destroyed Tigerstar's nine lives. Scourge hissed in frustration, showing no fear himself as he pressed the attack with savagely raking claws.
Firestar managed for a moment to grip Scourge's tail by the teeth, but before he could orient himself, a shape rammed into his side. A scrawny, pathetic looking Bloodclan tom hissed in his face and Firestar quickly batted him away. It was a fatal mistake. Having taken his eyes from Scourge for a single instant was enough for the black tom to rip his tail free and fling himself down between Firestar's legs. For a moment, the pair of leaders stared into each other's eyes. Scourge gave a horrible look of victory, aiming his claws and then flashing them upward.
AGONY! That was all Firestar could feel, collapsing to the ground in an instant as his legs flailed weakly. He screamed only for the scream to cut off...and then restart as a new life crept into him but not enough to heal the terrible wound. All around him, Lionclan cats tried to get nearer to help but were brought down or else fled in fear. Firestar could think only one thought "One more, Starclan, please just let me have on more". With each life that ticked down, he begged to his ancestors that he be able to have just one more life. But the stars were silent.
"You fought well. Better than any other I have seen. I am almost sad to see it end just by your bad luck. Oh well, forest fool. Tell your feeble Starclan that Scourge sent you. Tell them that I am greater than the stars themselves" Scourge spoke in his reedy thin voice, panting heavily and wincing at his own wounds. He patted Firestar's head in an almost caring gesture before turning about and barking out an order to Bloodclan. "Chase all of them down. Enjoy yourselves, Bloodclan. But remember to leave enough of them to tell the tale."
Firestar felt his ninth life leave him, the final death caused by bleeding from his destroyed throat. He could see Bluestar's face in Starclan, smell Spottedleaf, and hear Yellowfang's rough voice. They said he had done his best...but this was not his best. His best would have saved the forest. His best would keep Sandstorm safe. His best would insure the safety of all good cats. Without looking back, Firestar fled from Starclan's hunting grounds. He still had more to give up.
With sheer force of will, the fire that would save the clans defied the laws of death, the lives that Starclan had given to him. He staggered to his feet, and as Scourge spoke to the Twoleg place cats, he leaped.
"You will never see the stars" he croaked, just loudly enough for Scourge to turn and expose his throat. The black cat had a look of utter fury frozen on his face as Firestar clamped down on his undefended neck with all of his strength. Scourge struck out, his claws ripping into Firestar's side and legs and bringing him down on top of him. But pain was Firestar's home now, and he refused to let go, holding his grip until his jaw felt like it might snap in two. Finally, the strikes stopped coming from Scourge and he fell silent under him. In fact, the whole world was silent. Still, Firestar stood back up and stared forward. Bloodclan scattered like snowflakes in the face of a strong wind.
Firestar was still standing when Sandstorm found him, playfully nuzzling his shoulder in delight at having survived the battle. He was still standing as she realized that he wasn't breathing, and that he had died standing upright. He only finally fell down in the dust, at peace and dead at last when he heard Sandstorm sob into his shoulder that they had won and she needed him back now. He'd have liked to apologize to her, but maybe letting her survive was the best way of apologizing. Firestar thought no more as he climbed the starlight to join the stars, the blazing sunset seeming to mourn him too.

But remember to leave enough of them to tell the tale." Firestar felt his ninth life leave him, the final death caused by bleeding from his destroyed throat. Ooh boy! Really loved this piece. I honestly do. But I would also love to see is how they all met up, ya know? I know this is hypothetical, but it would be very interesting to see how they all met. I didn't want to go into the time travel nonsense, to be honest lol.

Because the OP mentioned writing it out was okay, here's my impression ------- The Kin broke within seconds.
