Modern dragons, with worldbuilding. With zero . We'll probably need to come with a plot, so it's....brainstorming time.

Okay, do we want to have dragons be something new or more common? If they are something new, we can do a plot where they are hatching the eggs or taming them to something. If they are more common, idk what we can do. Are the dragons going to be "friendly" or nah?

They could be more established in the world, under different types? Pet/more common dragons would be smaller (no bigger than a medium-sized dog & maybe as small as a mouse) and in some cities could be pests to a degree, whereas wilder dragon would be larger (probably to the point of being ridden). I feel like pet/common dragons would be friendly (but unable to communicate past uhhh animal sounds, like how a cat meows or a dog barks) whereas wild dragons aren't friendly but could maybe communicate to a degree?
Maybe one character is a thief who's befriended a wild-type dragon and as such is a dragon rider which...could maybe be like, military or police-only positions (or both) and so it's unusual. And, uhhh. Maybe they steal a precious egg from a rare type of dragon, or something? Or some kind of special artefact. Whereas the other could be someone who's trying to befriend a wild-type - or the second character is destined to be the rider of the stolen egg (if that's a route we go down)?
I'm just brainstorming. orz

Yeah, I like that level. Just imagine a wiener dog sized eastern dragon. A gift. Like the level of communication also. I love the idea of a larger dragon trying to talk to a teacup dragon, who is nawing on their claw.
Muse a, dragon rider rogue steals an egg. Muse B, the second character destined to be the rider. What if Muse a looses it in the chase because I imagine they get caught when stealing. Then Muse B can find it and it hatches. Muse a then finds them and the characters would really determine what happened next. There could be two set of enemies; muse a is running from the police but maybe they also promised to sell the egg to someone. Now that it is unhatched and bonded, there's nothing which can be done. But the buyer is very angry and has a lot of power.
