A lot of us have crushed on these cats at some point, right? Share your character crushes here! (I'll be really surprised if Jayfeather doesn't win )

When I was 10, I had a thing for both Bramblestar and Raggedstar. Don't ask why, I had really bad taste back then...ugh.

*Snickers* Some point? Gurl I have and still do. I have the biggest crush for Firestar rn and it's probably pretty obvious to others given how I talk about him, it's not really something I've kept low-key tbh, but I don't even give a frick anymore. I have this thing for falling in love with Fictional characters (It's happened before) so I'm not even surprised I'd have the hots for another I happen to love so much.

When I was little, I had a thing for Jayfeather and I would write awful Jayfeather x Oc fanfictions. I eventually grew out of that and I've never liked a character like that since then. I can't think of cats like that. It's too uncomfortable for me personally

Never experienced or understood it. I don't want to sound rude, but how does this even work? They're not real; they're fictional. I just.. don't understand. Although I've always admired certain cats, like Cinderpelt, for sacrificing her love for the sake of the Clan. I've always seen her as an inspiration of a sort, if that counts.

I don't really see them as cats, honestly. Never have. I just sort of fall for their personality, y'know?

Sorry if that sounds weird but since they're almost human like, whenever I read warrior I imagine the cats to be humans.

Although I've always admired certain cats, like Cinderpelt, for sacrificing her love for the sake of the Clan. I've always seen her as an inspiration of a sort, if that counts. There are lots of people that fall for fictional characters despite what they are as species. I mean frick two of my bestest friends are HUGE self-shippers that love so many fictional characters to where I'm tame compared to them since I've only been in love with two compared to them. Usually, it's because of the characters personalities. I for example have a huuuge thing for soft, gentle guys, I'm dating a soft guy irl, they're my type both irl and in fiction, so any male characters that fall into that archetype I fall for as well. Just because the characters are cats doesn't mean I can't love them as characters themselves, it's not like I'm actually saying I'm actually dating them or anything. As attached as hell I can get over Firestar, I KNOW he's a fictional character, I know he's a cat in the books. But that doesn't stop me from loving him as a character personally alongside admiration, for me he's got a lot for me to love about him, he's another soft male character I crush on.

Honestly it bugs me when folks tell me and others "How does that work/ How can you love him/her? They're fictional!" Like... ya'll are asking me as if I don't know this already. This is a huge pet peeve of mine personally that actually genuinely bugs me, not like I can help who I fall in love with. I rather not be made to feel weird about it either, I got enough shit like that from Tumblr as is and I've seen a LOT of contempt on folks that love fictional characters to where I get uncomfortable about sharing my interests in them. You don't have to like them or even fall into that trend, but it's just people having fun, and it's harmless. I'd personally rather not be asked how it works (Ik Dove was asking in general but since I fall into that area I'm giving my two cents, not for a debate obviously but just to give me say as it's a rather personal spot for me) because for me it can be complicated to explain depending on the character. Just ask me about why I loved my previous fictional interest and I stuff up compared to if you talk to me about the orange furball. lol
