First off, I know this isn't the time AT ALL to be writing about Valentine's Day...….but I wanted to post my first Off-topic Writing Thread about this poem I wrote for a Poetry Contest on another site. I of course won, but I was LITERALLY the only one who entered any entry.....so win-win I guess?
Okay, so I am leaving some ground rules. If you want to use ANY of this work of mine, please ask for my permission first before you do so. I may be humble but I don't like thieves.

Around that time of year
Everyone wants to hear
"Will you be mine?"
There's something in the air
It's scattered around everywhere
Could it be my Valentine?
I look around to see
Then I see you staring back at me
We come together and share a kiss
You hold me in your arms
We are two inseparable parts
I wonder if anything's better than this
Cards, roses, chocolate, and hearts
It means everything if we ever part
Even if for a moment in a day
I love you just the way you are
A saying which can go far
Do you love me in the same way?
You stare into my eyes
And not much of a surprise
Start dancing with me as if in a dream
We go out into the moonlight
Where the stars are shining bright
And it's more beautiful than it should seem
We watch one falling towards the west
Which makes the night the very best
And we fall asleep together that night
I wake to see roses by my side
It makes me feel all whole inside
I run and then hug you very tight
