Alright, so I've got an idea for a roleplay: It takes place a little in the future in an war-torn country (will probably be either unspecified or made up to avoid issues) and revolves around the lives of the children living there. Their homes are destroyed, most of their parents are gone, and the country is too wrapped up in it's fight to give them a second thought. So in order to survive, they band together. I've got some basic plot outlines thought out, but I'll be keeping them private to avoid spoiling the direction of the rp. I'd love to have some help if anyone is interested. Coding help would be appreciated, as would forms, intros, rules, or just plain moral support! Those who help will be offered a mod spot in the roleplay, as well as given credit.
So the group is separated into roles, and these are what I've got so far
Leader - The leader of the group, they are primarily responsible for keeping everyone organized, safe, and in check.
Second in Command - This person is essentially the deputy. If the leader is unavailable, they're in charge, and they usually handle most of the smaller day-to-day tasks.
Scouts - The world around these kids is a dangerous place, and if they settled down just anywhere, it could cause a lot of trouble. These kids go off ahead of the group, making sure the surrounding area is safe before anyone else sets foot there. It's a dangerous job, and most of the kids handling it have a good eye for detail and are light on their feet.
Scavengers - So the group has a safe place to set down roots, now they need supplies. Scavengers go through wilderness and dilapidated buildings in search of building supplies, food, and other essentials. A lot of the scavengers were already street kids before the war, already naturals at finding what they need.
Builders - The builders are the ones who set up camp. The group has to move frequently to avoid the worst of the fighting, so they are always taking their camps down and putting them back up again. While a few tents are used by the group, the builders have to be creative to find a way to accommodate everyone.
Guards - There's always at least a few of these kids out and about at a time, and they've got multiple duties. On the road, they make the protective outer ring around everyone else, and when they've set up camp, they keep threats out and break up fights between members.
Healers - There's only a few kids able to do this. Mostly some of the older ones, anyone with first aid experience or some medical knowledge qualifies. They take care of the sick, young, and injured.
Babysitters - Mostly made up of a few older kids that either have or had younger siblings, or are just plain good with young children. They keep the youngest of the group out of trouble.
The Little Ones - Finally, we have the little ones. They are the youngest of the group, ranging from babies and toddlers, up until around five or six year olds. They're too small to really do any of the jobs, but they'll sometimes help around camp with the less dangerous tasks.

Thanks Ging! I'll check them out. Other than that we should probably start with the rules. What I've got so far is:
1. Follow the forum rules 2. Use () or [] when OOC 3. Please write at least a few sentences per post, and use proper spelling and grammar. 4. Give your characters flaws! Mary-sues and Gary-stus will not be tolerated. 5. Don't join in with a character having a crush. Romance isn't exactly a big part of the roleplay, and most characters are fairly young anyway. 6. Large plot points need to be brought up to me or the mods, feel free to share ideas with everyone! 7. Absolutely no godmodding. Your character isn't the strongest or smartest, and they can't know everything. 8. No spotlighting. Everyone plays a part, and there will be many major and minor plot points going around. Forcing yourself in front of everyone is just plain rude. 9. No playing other people's characters. The only exception to this rule is if someone is leaving the roleplay and has given permission for someone to take their character. 10. Characters are going to die, it's inevitable. Please don't get mad if something bad happens to your characters. For this reason you're encouraged to make as many characters as you feel comfortable with, and if you lose someone, you can make someone else. 11. None of the characters should be older than 16. 12. Any character under the age of six is considered a 'Little One' 13. No powers. This isn't that kind of roleplay. 14. Everyone has a life, I understand that, however I'd appreciate if you could post at least once a week, or at least warn us if you're going to be gone for a period of time.
Too much? Is there anything I should add?

I'm making the leader, other than her I'll probably have at least one of each role.
I found a layout shop I really like, but I want to get everything else in place before I put in an order.

I was about to make a form, if you'd like to work on characters. Also, any brainstorming ideas are greatly appreciated.

We could use a fancier looking form and some coding if you're good at either of those. Otherwise even just throwing in some ideas would be helpful!

I've got an idea called the injury and disease system: This is a way to handle the results of dangerous situations throughout the roleplay. Every so often disease will sweep through the group, the amount of people ill will be decided by a random number generator, and I will keep a list of the characters either in a hat or online, and the people who get chosen are the ones with the disease. After that, their fate is decided through a 6 sided die. Even numbers means you survive, odd numbers mean you won't. The die is also used when someone is injured to decide the outcome. 1: You survive without any lasting damage 2: You survive, but with scarring 3: You survive, but with permanent damage 4: Your injuries are infected, but you pull through 5: Your injuries are infected, which kills you. 6: Roll again.
What do you guys think of this, should it be kept? Just bits of it? Entirely scrapped? Or maybe something that should be changed.

Ooof, just finished my first character's form
Lilla Thompson | Female | 11 | Leader Lilla is about average height for her age, just reaching 4’10. She’s a young looking girl with dark, olive toned skin who’s still got a bit of a baby-face, which leaves the scar on the right side of her face looking out of place. Her black hair is messily cut and reaches just to around her shoulders, with bangs hanging over her eyes. She’s got dark brown eyes and a seemingly permanently grumpy looking expression. Lilla may not be the biggest or the oldest kid around, but she’s got an authoritative air to her that generally keeps others in line. Her responsibilities put a heavy burden on her, leaving an overly serious kid who grew up too soon. Those who don’t like her would call her bossy, and she certainly shows no hesitation to order people around. She dislikes using nicknames, often referring to people by their full name. She has little patience for childish antics and drama, and isn’t afraid to express this opinion. While she rarely shows it to anyone but her brother Kody, Lilla cares deeply for the group. Lilla grew up in a middle class family as the second of three children. She was a fairly normal and happy kid, with plenty of friends and an active social life. Things began to change for her once the war started, but her parents did their best to keep Lilla and her siblings from seeing the worst of it. This was all shattered one day when the fight came to her neighborhood, destroying the homes and killing countless civilians in the process, including Lilla’s parents and older brother. She and her little brother were injured, but had managed to escape. While she was just left with scarring, Kody’s injuries led to the loss of his hearing. With no family and no home, Lilla had nothing else she could do but hit the road. As she traveled, she began to meet others who were also in rough situations, as a result, she began forming the group, believing that if no one was going to help the kids, they’d just have to help each other.

I think the disease/injury choosing thing is a good idea.
Let me try something with this form and see if you like it

So I don't know your color scheme but I used one of mine just as an example for how this could look
• Name • Age • Gender • Role •
Appearance: Personality: (be sure to include skills, quirks, pet peeves, etc..) History:
• Screenname •
and then when you put it on the main page it can look like this:
• Name • Age • Gender •
word words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words • Screenname •

I dunno how many traditions they'd have, since they'll probably only have been formed about less than a year ago at most, but I'm still curious to hear what it is and figure out how to incorporate it!

that makes sense! I was thinking they were established a couple years prior so it's likely they wouldn't have many
oh but it'd be cute if they did something for christmas! "guys remember christmas? We can't just.. not celebrate... santa will come..wont he?" aww my heart!
also I figured out two names for my kiddos but I think I might change one: - Lowen (middle and last names undetirmined) will be my scout and will likely be a boy but maybe a girl i'm undecided
- Zillah Liesel Alexander will be my healer (hers is the name that might change)
- Amelia Mae Baker will be my Little One (her picture is soooo cute!)

I've already got pictures for all my characters already, and I especially love Lilla's pic, my scavenger's pic, and my builder's pic! I've got
Lilla Thompson (Leader) Kody Thompson (Little One) Luthor 'Lou' Mason (Scout) Andy Kosinski (Scavenger) Macy Williams (Builder) Eric Jones (Guard)
That Christmas idea is so cute!! I had a scene in mind where they have a huge snowball fight, and I think putting those together would be so sweet. They're in this bad situation

those are cute names! I'm working on finding pictures for my other two. I'll send amelia's to you through discord though. She's so cute! and I need help with her age. I think she looks about three but I'm not positive
aww a snowball fight! I love it! maybe a little thanksgiving too except it isn't a feast but a couple older girls find some things to use as decorations and such
