In TLH all of the (dead) Dark Forest cats come back and can harm living and dead cats. They just travel through some kind of magical portal and appear where they want to go.
So is dying that bad? If you go to Starclan can't you just basically come back and live a second life as a glowing cat? You can still die so it isn't like you're immortal.

Yeah, Cinderheart was an exception for some reason but once you fade away from StarClan you're just gone.
But honestly, no one has any idea how StarClan works so. Hopefully this alleged StarClan POV will clear some things up.

It's bad if you're a morally bad cat. (Because the DF exists)
And Starclan isn't just "You die but live again in a second life as a spirit". That's not how it works in the slightest even in the books. You die and go to cat afterlife based on your morality... usually (I say that because well... Trashfur..). There's no "second life" when you die, you're dead, that life is gone, and in Starclan you're left only to contact the living through certain measures/folks (Med. Cats/Prophecies/Rare chance to appear in the real world/Etc.)
And tbh even if there was a heaven that exists irl, I and many others are still scared of dying as a whole. Dying is still terrible and scary, even if you know you'll -possibly- be fine in the afterlife. But it's not a second life, it's called an afterlife for a reason.

And made worst that once get to Starclan you are actually slowly fading away from existence.

Even though I know this is a hypothetical, let's all remember that "is dying actually bad?" is the wrong question to ask
