Bringing this back.
Do you think it's fair that sometimes kits are punished for their parents' mistakes when it comes to forbidden romance?

Heccing No. The kits themselves shouldn't get punished for their parents forbidden antics, that'd be really harsh.

No, the kits didn't ask for any of this. They weren't able to stop or tell their parents what they should or shouldn't do, they're just little babies who don't even know what the worlds about yet.

No! What happened before their birth isn't their fault.

No child, and I mean no child should be punished for what their parents have done. They cannot go back in time and fix what has been done. It was the parents who chose to be together and children cannot control that!!! This is why I found Oakstar’s actions disgusting. Omen or not those kits were two moons old and still needed their mother. A queen cannot survive out there with kits who still need her and were probably not weaned yet!!! Okay I’m done.

No, but if it happens, I won't exactly be phased by it. It's not like Warriors hasn't went down that road before; Yellowfang and Bluestar.

why is this even a debate lol. Obviously not, unless you're talking about the product of Pinestar and Leopardfoot, which isn't a forbidden romance

I would say no, of course, but let’s take a casual look at the original arc and what happens to a few taboo couples and their children:
Bluestar and Oakheart: One kit dies young, another is murdered unjustly, and the other losses her kits. Bluestar is betrayed by her chosen deputy, Tigerclaw, losses her faith, and her grasp in reality. Oakheart dies in a freak accident.
Silverstream and Graystripe: silverstream dies, Graystripe leaves his clan, only to return when he cannot betray Fireheart, but is a changed cat.
Yellowfang and Raggedstar: yellowfang is forced to give up her kit and Raggedstar is killed by his own son, brokenstar. Later, Brokenstar frames Yellowfang for a kits murder, attacks her adopted clan, is blinded by his own mother, and later plots to attack it again with Tigerclaw. He is then poisoned by his own mother to prevent him from continuing to create havoc. She then dies from smoke inhalation due to being trapped caught in a forest fire.
Firepaw and Spottedleaf: just the hint of something between them and in walks Clawface to murder the medicine cat (an act only as bad a killing a kit).
Personally, I think the Authors are sending mixed messages.

No. As parents should not be punished for their children's wrongdoings, children should not be punished for their parents' wrongdoing. The one who sins is the one who pays the price.

Even if the Clans don't officially punish the kits of an offender - In comparison, simply socially judging/bullying them still isn't good enough. And the Clans really need to stop with this attitude about "Bad Blood" or "They'll turn out like their parents". It's self-fulfilling prophecy - Clanmates thinking kits are going turn out a certain way, so it pressures them into actually becoming like that.
Prime example being Tawnypelt and Brambleclaw. They got separated from their father as young kits- Yet their Clanmates still somehow think they have Tigerstar's influence. Thunderclan's bullying made Tawnypaw feel forced to leave, to join her Father, which they accused her of doing. And even years afterwards, Brambleclaw's own friend, are trying to use Tigerstar as an excuse to deny Brambleclaw the basic right to have a mate.
This could even apply to Hawkfrost. He literally had no kin. Besides from his sister, who couldn't offer any wisdom due to being the same age and had a safeguard in the form of her disbelief. Yet here everyone is, constantly him reminding him of this evil kin, he never even meet yet expecting him to turn like him. So of course, Hawkfrost is going to be pressured into going to Tigerstar in his dreams.
