I personally don't really blame anyone for what happened (except Darktail, of course), but I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks.

It wouldn't have happened without Darktail, so...
As for the others: Leafstar didn't really do anything wrong, Hawkwing was a bit of an idiot in the process but I don't think there was anything he could have done to drastically alter the outcome unless he definitively knew that Darktail was evil (which no one really could have known), the daylight warriors not being in the gorge at the time was something that Darktail took advantage of (meaning that it wasn't their fault).

I actually predicted that the Daylight Warrior idea would lead SkyClan to fall again, and exposes them to enemies at night. It was one of the reasons I disliked Leafstar, but now that all is said and done, and I turned otu to be right...I do feel bad for Leaf and her clan and what they went through...I don't necessarily blame anyone...but...

I don't know why in the world people actually think this was the daylight-warriors' fault, but I guess I'd better prove in more detail why it's not.
Okay, first, there were three daylight-warriors, so their numbers wouldn't have made a difference against Darktail's rogues who had the Clan outnumbered. Darktail's plan relied more on the fact that it was night than the fact that the daylight-warriors weren't there. Secondly, Darktail attacked on purpose because the daylight-warriors weren't there. If the Clan being down by three warriors was such a crucial element of his plan, he would've found some other way to thin their numbers before he attacked. Thirdly, they had no way of knowing what was going to happen, and no reason to believe that it was crucial for them to stay in the gorge that night. Fourth, blaming the daylight-warriors assumes there was something the daylight-warriors could have and should have done differently---in other words, that they should have been in the gorge that night. But that was never going to happen. If Ebonyclaw and Harveymoon were given, the night before the attack, an ultimatum of becoming either full warriors or full kittypets, they would've chosen to be full kittypets, just like they actually did after the attack.
There is no situation in which the daylight-warriors could have affected the outcome of that battle, both because they wouldn't have actually made a difference and because the battle was launched because the daylight-warriors were gone. Darktail was always going to find some way to weaken SkyClan before attacking them. The daylight-warriors were just one idea---and not even his first, since he already had "send them off on meaningless quests that get them killed" and "lure raccoons into the camp" going as well.

I can’t believe people are blaming the miniscule number of Daylight Warriors over Darktail himself. Boy, it’s like the Rowanstar crap all over again. It’s Darktail’s fault, 100 percent.

I'm honestly surprised too because it all happened in the book itself. Not their fault their humans control them, and we read ourselves that Darktail brought animals and rogues into the camp. Makes no sense unless people haven't read HJ..

There's really no reason to blame anyone else, not even the Daylight Warriors. They had no real part of this, it was all Darktail.

Right! Did they think Harveymoon and Ebonyclaw were the key to stopping the rouges? Watch out ya’ll, Harveymoon and Ebonyclaw aren’t here, looks like our chances are dwindled. Gosh, if only those 2-3 cats were psychic and knew exactly when to stay at camp at night, they’re obviously the secret weapon against the brutal rouges who probably have no experience fighting kittypets and loners oof.
